Chapter 3 Venting

"What are you planning to do after we get back?"

"Of course, I'll go find my old flame..."

The two mercenaries were discussing what they planned to do after taking the money back when they suddenly heard a faint tearing sound and looked in the direction of the sound.

The sudden drop in brightness plunged him into complete darkness. Two mercenaries aimed at where he had been standing and pulled the trigger, but all they could hear was the sound of wood and steel being shot.

With a whooshing sound, a dagger shot out from the darkness, reflecting the light from the computer screen, and plunged straight into the throat of one of the two mercenaries!

As the mercenary pulled the trigger, Li Buying had already moved away from her original spot and lunged at a nearby table. While lying prone on the table, she grabbed a dagger from the shelf and aimed it directly at the mercenary's throat.

The crisp sound of bones cracking echoed through the messy, dark room. The mercenary's hand was no longer able to move the gun. Li Buying stepped on his groin, reached out her left hand to grab his neck, and raised her right hand, which had just attacked, to aim at his temple.

Time seemed to slow down at that moment. Li Buying clenched her fist, her middle finger knuckles slightly protruding, and the angry expression on her face didn't seem like she was about to kill anyone.

Instead, it's as if they're releasing the tension, worry, fear, and dread of the past 18 years...

With three powerful punches, the mercenary died instantly from the first punch. Li Buying slowly got up, his face turning pale again after the outburst.

Holding the mercenary's pistol, the expressionless boy walked away and aimed at their heads, repeatedly pulling the trigger to finish them off, preventing any situation where they would feign death.
