Hogwarts: The Book of Laws

Chapter 11 Heading to Diagon Alley

On July 17, after finishing breakfast, Lean took a novel and biography and sat on the sofa in the living room to relax.

It might take him a whole day to go to Diagon Alley today, so Rean simply decided to take a vacation for himself.

Professor McGonagall was very punctual, and at nine o'clock, Lien learned through the magic circle that a huge source of magic power was coming to his residence.

So he put down his book and came to the door to greet Professor McGonagall before he arrived.

It was a tabby cat, leaping through the forest at an extraordinary speed, and then landed in front of Lean's door.

"Professor McGonagall?" Although it was a question, Lien's words were full of affirmation.

The cat glanced at Li En in confusion, and then turned into a majestic middle-aged woman wearing a robe and a pointed hat in Li En's eyes.

"Ryan Zell? How are you sure that I am Professor McGonagall?" Professor McGonagall stared at the well-dressed and handsome young man in front of her.

"You wrote yesterday and said you would come at nine o'clock today, and I sensed the huge magic power in your body. Unless you have something to do temporarily, I can't think of any great wizard who would visit this small house in the Muggle forest."

Lean's words were neither humble nor overbearing, which made Professor McGonagall feel more favorable, and he became more and more kind to Lean in front of him.

"Have you been living here alone?"

"Yes, Professor, since I was seven years old." Rean replied without thinking. He had already thought of answers to all possible questions last night.

"Professor McGonagall, the door may not be the place to talk. Please come in." As he said this, Rean made a gesture to invite in.

Professor McGonagall thought about what Dumbledore had told her to observe the little wizard in front of her yesterday, and felt that this was a good opportunity.

So Professor McGonagall nodded and followed Rean into the room.

After entering the room, Professor McGonagall looked around.

The decoration in the house is very life-like. There are not many things, but most of them have traces of use, which shows that the owner of this house is mainly practical.

"Professor McGonagall, what would you like, tea? Or coffee?"

"A cup of green tea, thank you."

Lean took out his wand and pointed it at the teapot, and the cold water inside boiled instantly. Then use the flying spell to make the tea cup fly over, and finally put in the tea leaves.

Professor McGonagall was a little dazzled by this series of operations. She reluctantly said: "It seems that you have already experienced the beauty of magic?"

"Of course, magic is very beautiful and very convenient." Rean brought the brewed tea to Professor McGonagall and said with a smile.

"With all due respect, where did you... where did you learn this?"

"This used to be a Death Eater stronghold, so naturally there are some stocks, including my wand." As he spoke, Rean showed his wand.

Professor McGonagall nodded. She didn't know what she was thinking. She just blew the hot air mechanically and took a sip of tea.

Lien was also happy that Professor McGonagall didn't speak. He still understood that talking too much would lead to mistakes.

The two fell into silence until they finished the cup of tea.

"Mr. Zell, it's almost time, should we go? In addition to you, there is a young wizard who is about to enter school today who wants me to accompany him into the magic world."

"Of course, please wait a moment while I go make some preparations."

After Lien finished speaking, he went to the bedroom.

He randomly grabbed two handfuls of the treasures he had saved over the years and put them into his seamless stretch pocket.

Nowadays, Lien can solidify the traceless stretching spell, but there is also a problem, that is, if the material of the artifact is not good, even if the magic is solidified, it will lose its effect due to the aging of the material.

But at least it was longer than the previous three months.

Soon, Rean was ready.

When he came outside, Professor McGonagall was waiting for him. When he saw Rean coming out, he said, "Are you ready? It may feel a little uncomfortable later, just bear with it and you'll be fine."

"Apparating?"

"You even know this?" Professor McGonagall asked in surprise.

"Yes, the Death Eaters left quite a few books."

"That's really... Okay, hold on to my hand, we are about to move." Professor McGonagall pursed her lips. She wanted to ask the Death Eaters if they had left any books on dark magic.

But she quickly realized that it was strange that the Death Eaters did not leave any books on dark magic.

Rean didn't feel any discomfort from the squeezing sensation caused by Apparition, because he had also moved instantaneously.

How could Rean not try this magical skill?

After failing more than ten times, Lien mastered this skill. As for the severed body caused by the failure of phantom transfer, Lien used forbidden spells to restore it.

"First Interpretation of Forbidden Knowledge" records several powerful and low-cost spells, one of which is time regression.

Time Rewind: It can restore the body of the designated casting target to the appearance one hour ago, at the cost of permanently losing half of the magic power in the body, and it can only be used once a day.

But note that using it on yourself has no consequences, because after losing half of the magic power, the body will return to what it was an hour ago.

In other words, if you use this spell on yourself, it is actually a powerful recovery spell, but if you use it on others, you will have to pay a price.

Professor McGonagall thought that Lean would crawl on the ground and vomit, but unexpectedly, Lean just rested against the wall.

"Have you ever learned to disapparate?" Professor McGonagall asked uncertainly.

"It was a fluke." Professor McGonagall couldn't help but twitch at Lean's words.

"How dare you... Do you know the danger of this spell? Even if there is a teacher at Hogwarts, only young wizards over the age of seventeen are allowed to learn it! Do you know why? , because at that time, the little wizard can have the magic power and knowledge accumulation to learn this spell..."

"But I don't have anyone to teach me."

Ryan's light words made Professor McGonagall swallow the rest of her words.

She looked at the little wizard in front of her and felt a little distressed for the first time.

It's as if an ignorant toddler picked up a gun and fired.

If a young child points his gun at himself, the consequences will be disastrous.

"Okay, kid, I don't blame you, it's just that magic is amazing, but it can also easily cause harm to yourself. When you get to Hogwarts, you will have teachers to teach you. Now, let me take you to see the magical world. .”

Professor McGonagall finished this sentence quickly, and then led Ryan towards the alley.

Only then did Lean notice that the place he was in turned out to be a deserted alley, but before he could think about it, Lean ran after Professor McGonagall.

This is a busy street with people coming and going. Professor McGonagall's fancy clothes attracted a lot of people's attention, but after paying attention for a while, they stopped paying attention. Everyone was very busy.

Professor McGonagall took Ryan to a streetlight, where a family stood.

The man was tall and thin, wearing a decent handmade suit, and his hair was meticulously combed. He looked like he was a successful man.

The woman wore a pale pink dress and a ponytail, standing elegantly next to the man.

There is a little girl in front of them with brown and fluffy hair. She glanced left and right from time to time, and then moved around. It was obvious that she was very nervous.

"Good morning, Mr. Granger, Mrs. Granger, and Miss Granger." Professor McGonagall smiled and stepped forward to say hello. She had a good impression of this little witch who was full of curiosity.

"Hello, Professor McGonagall." Mr. Granger also greeted, and Mrs. Granger nodded.

"Good morning, Professor McGonagall. Ah, is he a new little wizard like me?" Hermione quickly spotted Rean following Professor McGonagall.

"Oh, by the way, let me introduce this young wizard who is also new to the school, Rean Zell." Professor McGonagall stepped aside, revealing Rean behind him.

"Hello." Rean replied with a smile.

"Hello, my name is Hermione Granger." Hermione also introduced herself.

"Okay, let's go. There are a lot of things that need to be purchased today." After briefly introducing everyone, Professor McGonagall led them to a shabby bar.

The sign read "The Leaky Cauldron," and the words were still glowing.

Professor McGonagall pushed open the door that looked like it could be removed with a little force and walked in first.

Then everyone followed in. The inside of the bar was as dilapidated as the outside. The dark roof, the greasy tabletop, the dim room and the strangely dressed drinkers all made Mr. and Mrs. Granger somewhat uncomfortable.

Mr. Granger moved a little, and everything around him made him feel like he was the one who didn't fit in, even though that was the case.

"Hey, Professor McGonagall, what do you want for today?" The middle-aged man with a wrinkled face wearing a bartender's uniform and standing at the bar asked.

"Sorry, Tom, I need to take the new students to Diagon Alley." Professor McGonagall gestured.

"Oh, it's the time of admission again, time." Tom said while wiping the wine glass in his hand.

"Okay, Tom, I'll come back another time," Professor McGonagall replied.

Then he turned to Lean and the Granger family and said, "Follow me."

"Tom is the owner of this bar, and this bar is also the entrance to Diagon Alley. The wine here is good, and there is accommodation service here."

Professor McGonagall took Ryan and the Granger family to the backyard of the bar, then pointed to the trash can nearby and said: "Remember this trash can, its position will not change. Count three blocks up from it, and then Count two pieces across the board and hit them three times with your wand."

Then, an archway appeared in the middle of the wall.
