Marvel's Death Merchant

After walking through a long tunnel, they came to a large gate. The middle-aged man gestured for them to stop, then stepped forward to examine the electronic control panel on the gate. Above the panel was a series of intricate and beautiful metal reliefs, seemingly depicting the Greek god Muses. Below each relief was a string of letters.
On the other side, everything was dark, and his whole body ached. When the Sandman regained consciousness, he realized he was imprisoned. The situation was dire; he seemed to be in a confined space surrounded by liquid, but strangely, he wasn't suffocating. He reached out and explored his surroundings. Aside from occasionally feeling glass-like inner walls, he was suspended in this space, completely adrift. This was something he had never experienced before. A nameless fear gripped the Sandman, and he involuntarily began wildly swinging his fists. Then, with a muffled "bang," as if shattering something, he felt the liquid around him rush out, pulling him out with it.
In the dim light and frigid air, the Sandman's vision and sense of touch quickly returned, and he realized he was already on the ground. Beside him lay a person dressed in a lab coat. Without thinking, the Sandman staggered to his feet, hesitated briefly, then stripped off a few pieces of clothing and put them on.
After much recollection, he still couldn't figure out what had happened in the end. Since things had come to this, he decided to continue his investigation and escape this strange place.
This place appeared to be a large laboratory. She saw many frozen, enormous containers filled with colorless solutions, in which unidentified life forms were submerged. Some of these life forms seemed to be in an embryonic state, while others had already developed into humanoid forms. However, two containers were broken, indicating that something had happened here. At the end of the laboratory was a door that appeared to be a transport elevator, but it was locked with an electronic lock, although the indicator light was still on. Next to it was a control panel resembling a card reader. It seemed that she would have to find a way to get upstairs via this elevator.
So she had to go back and see what she could find on the control panel. The control panel seemed to be still operational, displaying strange sets of data and 3D CT images resembling parts of human tissue on the LCD screen. Killer frowned; he wondered if this was related to Hydra's new bioweapon research project.
Chapter 715 Secret Intrusion
After eliminating numerous zombies on the outskirts, Ms. Marvel finally reached the tunnel entrance leading to Hydra's secret Antarctic base. However, through her infrared night-vision goggles, she could clearly see a series of messy footprints on the ground. This clearly indicated that someone had arrived before her. Then she spotted a shiny black object in a corner—the Hydra symbol.
If this is indeed the specific entry point for Hydra, then the hidden power in the world is terrifying. Superheroes know almost everything about Hydra.
Ms. Marvel felt a chill run down her spine at her sudden thought. Many mysterious figures seemed to know a great deal about Hydra, and intelligence gathered from the organization indicated that these hidden forces were incredibly enigmatic and a key element in the entire destructive plan. However, many factions remained completely unaware of these mysterious organizations until the Sky Sword Alliance commander, seemingly casually, reminded them of their existence just before this mission. This meant that the mysterious forces and superheroes must have some connection, especially considering that superhero organizations were still operating after the Resident Evil crisis.
Dr. Marcus, a scientist at Hydra, was a microbiologist and virologist. However, his personality led to an unforeseen consequence: he became the biggest threat to Hydra's progress. Drs. Wesker and William, as Marcus's protégés, were given positions and power by Umbrella to better accomplish their mission. Marcus's trump card was a synthetic virus—a meticulously designed viral complex. If properly developed, it could effectively alleviate human suffering and even potentially eliminate the possibility of death from external injuries someday. Undoubtedly, they were not the kind of researchers focused solely on their work and of high moral character. It was precisely for this reason that Umbrella seized the virus samples, research notes, and all research results from Marcus, then handed them all over to a talented young scientist in an independent research lab at Umbrella Corporation.
Therefore, to eliminate the threat posed by Marcus, he controlled and monitored him. The power of the T-virus was indeed extraordinary, capable of bringing the dead back to life. Many new humans are now beneficiaries of this special virus. Alexia doesn't seem very interested in the T-virus; after developing the Veronica virus, the T-virus was also overlooked. They were more interested in the surprises Alexia brought them. Ultimately, the T-virus brought Marcus back to life, which made it easier for him to implement his plans and ambitions.
All signs now indicate that Hydra's eagerness to deploy its special forces to confront the superheroes suggests they may have already obtained crucial information about the antidote. This means the superheroes will be facing an impenetrable Hydra organization, severely hindering their plans. Therefore, it might be better for the superheroes to confront Hydra directly.
The silence surrounding the base was shattered by hurried footsteps and continuous gunfire. A woman in a black bodysuit was firing as she ran desperately through the ravaged streets. Behind her were a pack of relentlessly pursuing zombie dogs, and besides them, a staggering "axe man."
She was exhausted, having wound her way here along the back path, which had been incredibly difficult. Then she came to the wreckage of an overturned military jeep. While still dealing with the pursuers, she instinctively hid behind the wreckage. Then she saw a puddle of oil on the ground, her heart skipped a beat, and she quickly moved aside.
“Come on, you damned bastards,” she muttered, firing a few shots at the jeep’s damaged fuel tank. With a deafening roar, the zombie dogs pouncing on her were blasted to pieces by the blast wave. Because she was too close, several shards of metal flew and cut her right arm, leaving it bleeding profusely and preventing her from dodging again. Worse still, the “axe-wielding man” fearlessly emerged from the flames, raising his axe as if to bring it down on her head.
She closed her eyes in despair, awaiting her death. But that moment never came. A loud "bang" rang out as the "axe-wielding man's" head was struck, blood splattering as he fell backward, the long-handled axe landing on the ground with a dull thud. Immediately, a figure leaped out from a nearby two-story apartment. His face, in the darkness, appeared both kind and resolute. As his features gradually came into focus, she cried out in surprise, "Jack!"
This was destined to be a long and exciting time. A small yacht left two long ripples in the calm waters of Antarctica; it wasn't moving very fast.
"Feeling good, huh?" The woman turned to look at the man beside her, her tone icy cold. "The other superheroes are almost at their breaking point. I bet he sent me to greet you all to destroy Hydra, right? Heh..."
"I was just about to play a few tricks with Hydra, but I still don't understand why you, especially before we arrived, secretly made a pact with those superheroes. This is not in line with the principles of the Fantastic Four."
"Perhaps our involvement just makes the game a little more fun. Also, I'd like to see if the antidote we developed will surprise them."
"That's good, it keeps the world from thinking about other things. By the way, is our Reed still working on those vaccines? It's such a beautiful night, she should come out and see the vast sky..."
"I think he did this because he didn't like seeing you, and you are indeed annoying."
"But aren't you with me?"
"Enjoy the night view, I'm going in now, hehe..."
"Sir, to make a long story short, we're in a pretty bad situation right now. Uh, before we get to that, would you like some juice? There's some good stuff in the trunk."
“Okay, thanks… Black Giant, you said you have communication equipment? That’s important. I haven’t been in touch with someone for over ten hours, and I need to know how he is.” Captain America took the juice and gulped it down. Anyway, they were safe for now; hopefully, the other superheroes were too.
"I'm sorry, Captain America, my only communicator only has one frequency, and it can only contact Iron Man."
Chapter 716 Hydra Laboratory
A helicopter roared towards the stern of the ship. A woman stepped out of the yacht. Looking up, she recognized it as a combat helicopter, typical military equipment, armed with two 20mm six-barreled Vulcan cannons and two 40mm machine guns. She smiled as the helicopter slowly hovered above the helipad at the stern. Then, a burly man in a black trench coat with a skull on his body emerged from the cockpit, leaped out, performed several somersaults in the air, and landed gracefully—his movements clean, crisp, and incredibly elegant.
“Punisher, you’ve finally arrived.” The woman greeted him with a broad smile. “With you waiting for me in person, I had to come no matter what,” the Punisher said casually, seemingly wanting to attend to other matters. “I’ve already had my two assistants make the arrangements, and I believe we can begin our plan soon!”
“Very good, I think it’s time to show the results. But I don’t think things are that simple. Someone deliberately spread the news, and the superheroes have gathered together, making this place very lively.”
"Are you deliberately testing me with that? You should know that superheroes have always been working for those self-righteous guys in America. Now that things have come to this, isn't this the perfect opportunity for you? Don't you need my support? I need to talk to S.H.I.E.L.D. and ask what they think."
"You still don't believe in my sincerity in cooperating with you? The world doesn't know our names yet, but it will soon have to. Don't you want to welcome this great moment with me? Hmph, whatever your purpose is, I can't have any dealings with an organization built on the ruins of Hydra. I hate being used as a tool."
The dimly lit corridors of the Hydra base were silent, revealing many fragmented items, some of which were not what they seemed... However horrifying they were, they were all caused by the human heart. As long as ambition and conspiracy existed, these nightmares and tragedies would never end.
In reality, the profits from virus manufacturing are not very high. Anyone can make biological weapons as long as they have centrifuge materials. Moreover, using rapidly fused mature virus particles in the genetic re-pairing process, as they do, is extremely expensive in any case. And like research using nuclear waste, it is very harmful to the human body. No, it is even more harmful.
This was a vast underground containment facility, with cold, funnel-shaped pillars standing all around. Numerous control panels connected these pillars, seemingly controlling the elevator systems within each pillar, but Marcus wasn't interested in those. His attention was focused on the enormous, sealed chambers embedded deep within the walls, and multi-layered virus tube racks faintly visible through the louvers on the outer surfaces of these chambers. Meanwhile, bow-like sealed containers and various unidentified experimental subjects were being moved around the area like cargo. A large fuel tank hung from a massive crane on the upper left, seemingly stopped due to some unforeseen event; it dangled in mid-air, appearing ready to fall at any moment. Directly ahead was a half-open, large isolation door, leading to what appeared to be a large hall. From there, a vaccine incubator could be vaguely seen in the center of that hall.
How could Marcus not have noticed those superheroes by now? He just didn't want to do anything. He had thought about it for a long time and realized that what he was doing was meaningless. Hydra had lost all its value and was practically ready to be destroyed.
“I finally understand why superheroes and supervillains alike want to catch you,” Red Skull shrugged. “You are definitely a reason, no less valuable than the top scientists from the former Umbrella Corporation.”
“My experiment is almost finished, thank you for your help,” Marcus said, raising his hand to press the switch on the monitor next to him. “They seem to be in trouble, aren’t you going to go check on them?”
With a "beep," the screen in the upper right corner turned on. Marcus saw the team's figures, as well as the figure of a man in black fighting. Her intuition told her that it must be something else.
"Looks like I have to go." Red Skull looked at Marcus with a complicated expression, his body stiffening slightly.
“Then you’d better take this with you.” Marcus casually pulled down the handle on his left, and the sample storage device behind Red Skull opened, from which popped out a sealed container filled with dark blue liquid. “These are the other virus samples you wanted. As for the advanced parasite sample, you’ll probably have to get it from the hidden place, but I can’t guarantee that the power there will be strong.”
"Why do you trust me so much? We're not enemies, how could you possibly help me so much?" Red Skull said to Marcus with some disbelief, as if he wanted to know something.
“Because we’re the same kind of people, and we both wanted to destroy Umbrella Corporation, but Umbrella doesn’t exist anymore, it’s worthless,” Marcus sighed. His original idea had almost come to fruition, and now it seemed there was nothing left to worry about. That was the situation; if left unaddressed, it would become very troublesome, so he had to be taken down by the other superheroes.
"I'm leaving. I also have my final battle with Captain America, which is something I need to do." Red Skull finished speaking and prepared to leave, at least there was nothing left for him to pay attention to.
"Oh, right, I forgot to tell you, you might also have a chance to witness the start of a grand spectacle." Marcus smiled, feeling the superheroes slowly approaching. He didn't want to say anything more; he just wanted to fight.
"This isn't America, and we're not fighting alone..." Captain America said, holding his shield and looking at Iron Man. Iron Man responded, and as they argued, a roar came from the sky. Looking up, they saw about three or four attack helicopters approaching. The two were astonished.
“Great, Captain America wants us to lure these guys to a more open area within Hydra…” Iron Man didn’t have time to think too much. He gestured to Captain America and then retreated.
The combat helicopter opened fire promptly, sweeping away a large number of the modified zombies after a burst of 40mm machine gun bullets. The relentless "executioner," riddled with bullets, finally collapsed slowly.

Chapter 717 Thor Descends
Hydra was both a successful and a failed organization. Rising during World War II, it was transformed into Red Skull's personal army after he gained control of the organization. Interestingly, its rise to prominence is closely linked to the rise of Captain America.
Red Skull's reckless actions triggered the Super Soldier Project. Captain America's creation swiftly wiped out Hydra. However, Red Skull was unexpectedly transported elsewhere by the Tesseract. When he returned, everything had changed. This was something Red Skull hadn't anticipated. He harbored deep hatred for the Umbrella Corporation, but upon returning to lead Hydra again, he realized just how insignificant he truly was. The sheer power of Umbrella was astonishing, and Hydra's forces were utterly insignificant.
In retaliation against Umbrella Corporation, Red Skull and Marcus joined forces, briefly making Hydra incredibly powerful. However, times had changed. The emergence of the Justice League and the Avengers dealt a significant blow to Hydra's strength.
Finally, with the cooperation of the three superhero organizations, Hydra was essentially destroyed. However, Marcus, unwilling to accept defeat, released a virus, turning the world into a biohazard-ridden ocean.
The Marvel universe may sound ordinary, but it's actually completely different. Primordial civilizations, cultivation civilizations, and technological civilizations once dominated this universe. The main god of the primordial world, while having achieved enlightenment, was still somewhat inferior to the creator gods of the Marvel universe. Those true gods were merely fragments of the Infinity Stones, their power enough to wipe out some highly advanced cultivation civilizations.
The so-called saints in this universe are merely more powerful gods, incapable of immortality. Saints, like gods, are high-dimensional beings who can be eliminated given the right conditions.
Putting aside the Hydra organization for now, Thor has already arrived. It's something everyone expected, and he's also Tang Tian's target. While most people wouldn't encounter this situation, it's still incredibly complex.
Thor's arrival was unfortunate; he lacked knowledge of mortal technology. Furthermore, being in a mortal body, he was bumped into by the person he encountered. Coincidentally, the city had just been cleansed and, after a period of reconstruction, had returned to its original state.
“I think legally it’s your own fault, since you left without even seeing the car,” Jane said apologetically to Thor on the ground as she opened the car door.
"Has he finally arrived? Thor, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. My subordinate." Seeing Thor descend, Tang Tian simply watched him from afar without saying anything.
"I'll go get the first-aid kit, wait a minute! Speaking of which, you're really lucky. The army cleaned up the city a while ago. We can go back to our old city now." Jane said to Thor on the ground, still feeling a little embarrassed. At least Thor was a bit reckless, but otherwise he was alright.
Thor vaguely heard a few voices, then felt himself being injected with medicine. After regaining his senses, he opened his eyes. He had just arrived in the world and never imagined that human technology would have reduced him to this state.
"Hello, are you conscious? I'm sorry, I didn't notice you coming over." Jane said apologetically as she looked at the man she had bumped into who had woken up. Their connection was somewhat fateful, which is why Thor still fell for him after his return.
"Alas, Father still punished me. It seems I need to keep striving so I can return." Thor, seeing his surroundings and confirming he had crossed the Rainbow Bridge to Earth, lay on his back, panting heavily as he looked at the overcast sky. He had no choice. Asgardians' special physiques were no problem, but Odin had followed the rules, stripping Thor of all his powers.
"By the way, sir, where did you come from? I only saw you appear suddenly, so I didn't control the car properly." Jane looked at Thor and asked in confusion.
Thor rested for a while, clutching his aching head, and shakily stood up. He didn't know what he should do, nor did he understand what he wanted to do; all he needed was to keep taking action.
"Are you alright? Should we go to the hospital?" Jane asked with concern, looking at the unsteady Saul. Besides, this wasn't some random area; Americans are very responsible here.
"I... I guess I'm fine!" Thor said calmly, looking up, though he seemed lost in thought and somewhat at a loss.
“It looks like we need to get him to the hospital first. This is the most important thing. If we find the place of those gods, maybe we can get them to eliminate the crisis on Earth.” A doctor next to him squatted down, glanced at the analysis pattern on the computer, and said to Thor.
Thor then took a few steps forward, raised his head and shouted to the sky, "Father! Heimdall, I know you can hear me, open the Rainbow Bridge!"
"Hehe, that's probably impossible. If we want to go back, we'll at least have to defeat the Destroyer, the most powerful fighting force in the Divine Realm. I don't think they'll be sent out this time. Earth is more dangerous than before, especially with the Twisted Overlord and the Sentinels." Tang Tian understood, of course, that the following plot was different from the others; at the very least, these two powerful individuals were beyond their capabilities.
"Even if Thor is incredibly powerful, the Sentinels of this world still wouldn't dare to look him in the eye. In the comics, the Sentinels are extremely powerful. This situation is clearly similar." They continued to observe the situation and await the outcome.
"What kingdom is this? Elfheim? Nornheim? Is it the weakest mortal world? If so, Father's punishment this time is far too severe." Thor was at a loss for words; the situation was extremely bad for him.
“New Mexico…” Jane stood up nervously as she watched the burly Thor walk towards them. She secretly took out the stun gun in her right hand and aimed it at Thor.
Thor remained unfazed by the electric current emanating from it. He himself controlled lightning, so he felt no fear.
"A weapon of mortals? How could I be defeated by a weapon of mortals?" Thor's disdainful words angered Jane, and she ended up with her hair standing on end from the shock, just like the goofy Loki.
"Damn, are you kidding me? Is that Thor? Or is it Loki in Thor's skin?!" Tang Tian, who was standing next to him, twitched with laughter, not knowing what to say.
Chapter 718 Thor's Hammer
The main Marvel universe, the underground base of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Avengers.
“Iron Man, Captain America, you two go first. We have an energy source. It's just a few dozen kilometers away from us,” Nick Fury said to the two men. At this time, they were also attacking a Hydra base, and not yet…
"Excuse me, sir. We are currently attacking a Hydra base and cannot proceed at this time," Captain America said simply. Several sounds rang out around them, along with attacks from various energy weapons, but their extensive combat experience prevented any major problems.
Meanwhile, at the Hydra base, various superheroes essentially crushed the biological weapons there. Many were completely wiped out without even being attacked, a truly horrific sight.
"Sir, 60% of the biological weapons have been destroyed. 50% of the base's facilities have been destroyed," a Hydra agent reported to Marcus.
"Is that so? No, keep resisting." Marcus waved his hand dismissively, then quietly pressed the self-destruct device. This was the last Hydra base, and the self-destruct device was incredibly powerful. If they didn't get out quickly, even Iron Man would be killed.
Meanwhile, after Marcus released the device, the superheroes waited in the control room. He had made up his mind, but the current conditions were still not right.
"A powerful explosion has been detected. If the program is implanted, it can prevent the explosion from happening in an hour. The power is equivalent to destroying the entire city of Los Angeles," Jarvis said to his master, Iron Man. Iron Man frowned; he hadn't expected Marcus to be so reckless, leaving no room for retreat, clearly prepared to fight them to the death.
"Oh no, Captain. Everyone, Marcus has used the self-destruct device. I managed to stop it partially, but we still have an hour and a half left." Iron Man explained to the team members around him. The others frowned as well; the situation seemed to be getting out of control.
"We must finish this quickly; the situation is almost resolved," Dark Wolverine Jack said coldly, looking at the people around him, his power evolving further.
Next, inside the Hydra base, the superheroes became increasingly ruthless in eliminating the biological weapons. He wasn't surprised to see the self-destruct devices being shut down; if superheroes couldn't even do that, what value did they have?
“No, we should do it that way. Hydra must be dealt with.” Ms. Marvel said, looking at the people around her, her goal very clear.
Leaving aside the situation with Hydra, things are a bit better elsewhere. Thor's arrival in that world was also part of Odin's calculations, and that's how things are going so far. Otherwise, Thor would have encountered zombies and been killed. So Odin is a smart man; sometimes smart men find a solution, and Thor was just lucky.
"It seems Thor's appearance has changed the situation. If Loki appears, there won't be any problems. This means my Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are almost ready. The Dark World! That's my target." Tang Tian thought for a moment, then prepared his plan, which was currently in the same situation.
"I'm there. What's going on here?" Thor had just gotten up and felt uncomfortable. He was an exiled god, so he was unfamiliar with everything about technological civilization. But he wasn't afraid. He knew that he could regain his original power after losing his divine power.
"You're really lucky. We just recaptured the city. With the help of the superheroes, we've gained a lot, and now we're just preparing to slowly take back the city." A doctor looked at Thor and said with a smile, clearly quite pleased that there were no more zombies.
