"Professor, here are the materials you requested."
Looking at the wrapped medicinal herbs in front of him, William raised an eyebrow. "Didn't Professor Adams ask you to pass on any message?"
"No, Professor Adams found the herbs very happily and then asked me to bring them over."
Although the university would provide most of the raw materials for the basic potions to the professors as long as they weren't being mass-produced and sold externally, Adams' complete silence was truly astonishing.
'There are no magical traps, and given Adams's personality, he wouldn't stuff magical items like dung balls that contaminate herbs inside. What's he up to?'
Curious, William opened the cloth bag, and a note on top of a pile of medicinal herbs caught his eye.
'A little kid? Passing notes?'
William smiled, and then the note seemed to come alive, jumping off the herbs and landing on the table, where it began to fold into a provocative gesture.
"Aphrodisiac? Haha, I'll just smell it!"
Adams's mocking voice filled the entire room.
As soon as the first word was uttered, the little elf had already Apparated and left the house.
'A shouting letter—Are you a child? Does having a loud voice make you right?'
William rubbed his temples, it seemed the recent confrontation was not over yet—after carefully examining the medicinal materials, he discovered, as expected, that the ingredients for the ecstasy potion had been replaced with aphrodisiacs.
As Adams said, the euphoric drug that originally brought joy has become an aphrodisiac that can be smelled to achieve the same effect.
"Fine, it's just that the medicine turned into a odorant. We'll make do. Buying materials from outside the school would take forever to brew. Besides, every cloud has a silver lining; we can brew a batch for the students to use in class—having more real-life examples of danger is good too."
-
"Here you go, the ingredients for the euphoria potion you requested."
At the dinner table, Adams handed William a small package.
"No need—it's all done."
William's voice was ethereal, and the fork in his hand was spinning.
"You made it through?"
Adams's voice was full of surprise—not that he doubted the fact that William had brewed it, but rather that William's voice sounded as if he had drunk the medicine as soon as it was brewed.
"You didn't drink it as a stimulant, did you?"
Even if I'm stupid, I can still tell the difference between euphoria and aphrodisiacs.
"Then who are you?"
"I'm fine, let me catch my breath—"
William slammed his fork into a piece of lamb chop as if he were stabbing someone.
Just an hour ago, the love potion was completed with a quality that exceeded William's expectations. William discovered that his potion-making talent seemed to be much stronger than he had thought—when he curiously opened the system to take a look, he had already discovered the talent of Potion 2.
3 is the upper limit, and 0 is the foundation. No matter how hard a person without talent tries, they can only master 0. Just like the talented Gauss could summarize theorems by looking at a series of numbers when he was a child, while most people who choose mathematics as their major in college can only switch to other majors for graduate studies after completing their higher education.
Potions 2 means that even if William obediently serves his full term in Azkaban, he could very easily thrive in the wizarding world.
'I was so stupid. I shouldn't have accepted that treaty in the first place. What would have been better if I had just served my sentence in Azkaban and gone out to do potions?'
Although hindsight is always 20/20, William still couldn't control his emotions—it's understandable that he was upset for two hours over something so serious.
Looking up at the sky, William sighed. Oh well, there's always a way to break the curse. If he hadn't promised Dumbledore, how could he have had the chance to set foot in Hogwarts?
He understood the reasons, but he still couldn't help feeling upset.
Just as he was sighing, a flock of owls suddenly flew into the auditorium.
'The mail arrived at noon—if I had obediently been released from prison, would I be waiting for the owl to deliver my orders right now?'
Just as William was lost in thought, the students' dining table suddenly became chaotic.
"Someone received the shouting message!"
A student from some unknown college suddenly made such a shout, drawing everyone's attention to the source of the sound.
William lowered his head, his previous sorrowful expression vanishing instantly—a roaring letter? Which unfortunate soul?
Haha, to hell with the curse!
Where else can you see so much excitement if you don't come to Hogwarts?
Chapter 104 Exams are one of the rare things that no one will complain about if you skip them.
"...leading his younger brother astray, leading his younger sister astray—Ron dared to break school rules on the first day of school after only one year, while Ginny has only been in school for less than a year!"
"Don't tell me you're innocent. You sneaked off to the Hog's Head Bar right after school started and have been locked up by the professor ever since. Fred, I'm not going to dwell on the trouble you two caused at school, but you're a bad influence on your younger siblings, and you'll see how I deal with you..."
“And you, George, don’t think I’ve forgotten your name. You two are always causing trouble together—I haven’t punished you too harshly for misbehavior since you were in first grade, but today is different. If I hear of you two inciting your sister or brother to do something stupid again, you’ll be in for the same punishment as them!”
The loud message, which had a very good broadcast effect, startled William.
He was even a little surprised—the two troublemakers hadn't caused any trouble lately, so why did they suddenly receive a shouting letter?
Even after hearing the contents of the letter, he felt a little indignant for the two of them. Why were they the only ones being criticized when their younger siblings made mistakes? Weasley was there to help them.
However, his indignation was immediately overshadowed by the fact that his memory of the numerous disciplinary records that couldn't be contained in the file, and that his two older brothers were the top students in their grade and recognized as model students—to be honest, it didn't matter, but his conscience would ache for a long time.
-
At the Gryffindor table, Fred and George exchanged a glance and then began to laugh.
"Another yelling letter? I haven't heard one since first grade—"
A classmate nearby joked—because the two Weasleys in the first year received a yelling letter almost every week.
"No, it has nothing to do with receiving it. The letter was sent to the wrong address again—what does the letter addressed to George (the instructions to Fred) have to do with me?"
"Ha ha……"
The fourth-year students in Gryffindor started laughing hysterically.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, the two quickly left the table.
"Fred, did you tell Ginny the story of the Forbidden Forest?"
"I've said that before, have you?"
"Without a doubt."
The two looked at each other and sighed—all that yelling was for nothing; they couldn't reply and plead their case.
"But it's also too much of us to blame Ron for what happened. We didn't even think of driving to school!"
"That's right, but at least this time Mom didn't tell me to study Percy properly in her letter, so she's at least made progress."
"How about we take Ginny to the Forbidden Forest for a bit?"
"Forget it, I don't want to receive any more roar letters, and what if I get caught and have to go through the data processing? If that data gets seen, I'd rather go dance with the trolls."
Both of them shook their heads at the same time, banishing that terrible possibility from their minds.

In the evening, William, who hadn't been able to properly enjoy his melons at noon, finally saw the two melon farmers.
"Good evening, Mr. and Mrs. Weasley. Today's task is very demanding and requires us to work overtime."
William smiled and waved to him twice—a professor should act like a professor; it's really beneath him to be busy prying into gossip.
“This stack of files is yours, this stack of files is yours. It must be finished tonight. Professor Binns has already started complaining that he doesn’t have any more information.”
"so much?"
"Yes, because there are too many, so I'm making an exception tonight and allowing you to use shorthand quills—but not next time. It's just soulless not to copy by hand."
William made a lighthearted joke, saying that these case excerpts were part of the repentance. If quill pen shorthand were used, there wouldn't be enough time for anyone to write things down, and the punishment would just be punishment for punishment, becoming meaningless.
"Professor, people will die if you copy by hand."
"It's alright. I'm discussing it with Professor Binns. Maybe we can have a test on the history of magic, and those who fail can come here to copy the answers. We'll have enough staff soon."
Since it wasn't class time, William didn't bother to prepare any notes for his boasting—even if Professor Binns really intended to give a test, the students would have learned something from their prior study, so he wasn't worried at all that the two of them would leak their boasting as news.
Are there really students who would complain to their teachers because they didn't pass the legendary exam?
What a joke—William also coasted through his student days; when it comes to exams, bragging doesn't carry any responsibility.
The truth is, because there weren't enough students to fill the course, Professor Binns decided to finish this part first and then study the history of all the principals—even William wondered why this ghost professor was so fast; even 007 couldn't explain this pace.
After exchanging a few pleasantries with the two students, William's curiosity about the gossip gradually faded, and he began to get back to his work.
Although he had already prepared most of the test questions for first grade, there was still a lot of knowledge to review later. Preparing test papers in advance was a way to be prepared for the future. Watching students in solitary confinement also provided some spare time. If he were to do research, he might be distracted; if he were to study, he might lose his professorial authority. Preparing test papers was perfect and saved him from taking up other time.
-
"Fred, Professor, you're not joking, are you?"
While William was diligently working on the test, the twins began to communicate with each other through eye contact.
"Are you kidding? Which professor at Hogwarts gives exams right before the final exams?"
Fred responded with a look.
"History of Magic—If there's a history of magic exam, what else would be on the exam?"
"Potions shouldn't be on the exam. Snape hates wizards who are self-defense magic professors, that's definitely good news."
The two exchanged a playful glance, then hung their heads in dejection—Potions Mastery was probably the only subject they wouldn't be studying for the new professor's exam.
"I felt a sense of unease."
"Me too—are they making exam papers?"
After exchanging glances and nearly arguing several times, the two finally decided who would go check on what the professor was doing.
"Professor, this file seems to be recorded by a different administrator than the others. Should it be copied together?"
"Let me see."
William put down his book and the scroll, ordered the quill to stop, and then took the file.
"Hmm, it seems the administrator has changed. It must have been misplaced, or the administrator was changed that year. Separate this file from the other files of the same type, don't organize them."
"That's good, Professor. I feel much less tired now, like I've come back to life. Are you setting an exam paper?"
