Chapter 38 Arresting People

Xavier Academy for Gifted Youngsters.

Li Buying had already arrived at the surrounding woods and was now standing atop a large tree, observing the situation inside.

He didn't make any rash moves. Although the mutants inside were mostly friendly to humans, that friendliness certainly wouldn't extend to an intruder.

Taking out her binoculars and looking into the academy, Li Buying confirmed that everyone was asleep. Standing outside the academy, she thought again about what she could do next.

First, force Mystique to show herself or leave.

Rogue's departure was partly due to the accusations made by Mystique in the form of the Iceman. If Mystique could prevent her from doing that, Rogue might not have left out of guilt.

Of course, Mystique is not easy to kill. After all, she is likely one of the people most concerned by the two major mutant giants. If she is killed, Li Buying will not have a good outcome. Just tie her up with spider silk.

If Rogue still chooses to leave, or if he is too late to stop Mystique from doing so, then Li Buying will activate the second plan: take her away before Magneto does and hide her away temporarily.

Seemingly sensing the attack of the spider silk, the handsome man turned around and used his arm to block the web filled with paralyzing toxins, and his body showed no abnormalities.

He looked toward the spot where the web had been launched and saw a guy wearing a spider mask running toward him.

"Help!"

To his surprise, the ice man in front of him suddenly cried for help and then immediately retreated without using his mutant ability.

Upon seeing this, Li Buying immediately analyzed the situation. It must be Mystique. She has a strong resistance to poison and didn't use ice to repel him.

Iceman is probably unconscious and lying somewhere, unable to confront her for the time being, which is why Mystique is so emboldened to call for help.

Having no intention of getting close to the X-Men or "idolizing" them, Li Buying immediately kicked up dirt and jumped over the school wall, just in time to miss the familiar figure running towards her in the crowd.

Mystique, disguised as the Iceman, was still shaken: "I think I just saw a figure flash by in the forest."

With a wary mind, Cyclops gathered some of his more capable students and went into the woods. After checking, they found nothing amiss. Not noticing the mud puddle, he patted Mystique on the shoulder:

"You're too tense. Relax. To outsiders, this is just an ordinary academy. At most, petty thieves might get in."

The students who had come to join the fun quickly dispersed, somewhat disappointed that nothing had happened. Iceman followed them, preparing to approach Little Rascal to continue his plan, while keeping the guy in mind.

Although I don't know what he's here for, it's probably aimed at Xavier's School, and maybe he can recruit him into the fraternity.

Mystique was unaware that Li Buying had seen through her identity and thought that Li Buying, who had been discovered, had already left.

After calming down, he realized that the plan to keep Rogue in school was no longer viable. If Rogue stayed there, Magneto might call for her.

If the Brotherhood and Xavier's School were to actually fight, Lorna would undoubtedly fight to protect the school.

For Lorna's safety, he couldn't take the risk. He had to use the second plan: kidnap the little rascal as soon as she came out.

Arriving in the forest at the entrance of the academy, Li Buying stared at the lurking figures at the academy gate, occasionally rubbing his head. The fact that Lorna was a mutant had greatly shocked him.
