Hogwarts: My Grandmother is the Queen

Chapter 205 Only when you're full do you have the energy to embarrass yourself.

The last class on Wednesday afternoon was Charms, where Professor Flitwick stood on his stack of books and shrieked as he explained how advanced applications of the Levitation Charm could make objects move in complex curves in the air.

He waved his wand, and a teapot on the table slowly rose, drawing a perfect figure eight in the air before gently falling back to its original position.

"The key lies in the continuous fine-tuning of the wrist," he said. "It's not about making a single, sweeping motion, but about sustained, precise control. Just like painting, every stroke must be accurate."

Hermione sat in the front row, her quill flying across the parchment, trying to memorize almost every word Professor Flitwick said.

Ron sat behind her, his notes crooked and messy. He even dozed off halfway through his drawing, only to be woken up by a nudge from Harry.

Henry was still sitting with Draco, Pansy, and Daphne.

Draco took meticulous notes, occasionally glancing at Henry's to make sure he hadn't missed anything. Pansy's notes were colorful, highlighting key points with different colored inks. Daphne's notes were concise, clear, and well-organized, with blank spaces after each point, presumably for later additions.

There are more tools for struggling students.

After Professor Flitwick finished speaking, he clapped his hands.

"Alright, everyone practice on your own. Work in pairs, cooperating with each other to make the teapot move in a figure-eight pattern in the air."

The classroom immediately became lively. There were sounds of wands being waved, teapots hitting the ground, and occasional cheers when someone succeeded.

Henry and Draco were paired up. Draco tried first, and the teapot drew a crooked circle before falling headfirst, which Henry caught with his wand.

"Your wrist is too stiff." Henry demonstrated for him, "Relax a bit, like you're drawing."

Draco tried again, and this time it was much better. The teapot drew a not-so-standard figure eight in the air, and although it was crooked, at least it didn't fall down.

Of course, it actually looks more like a twisted dough stick than an 8.

"Not bad," Henry said. "Let's do it again."

Draco nodded and continued practicing.

He practiced very seriously, sweat beading on his forehead, but he never stopped.

Pansy and Daphne were in another group. Pansy's teapot walk was fairly steady, but too slow, and the two circles in the figure-eight shape were of different sizes. Daphne's teapot walk was beautiful, with smooth movements and the two circles were of uniform size, which attracted the attention of several Slytherin girls next to her.

"Daphne, have you trained before?" Millison asked.

Daphne shook her head and smiled slightly.

"No, maybe I was just lucky."

Millicen clearly didn't believe it, but she didn't ask any more questions.

Crabbe and Gore were still struggling with the teapot, which was bouncing around on the table and refusing to fly properly.

When the bell rang, Professor Flitwick stood on the stack of books and waved.

"The assignment is to write a paper on advanced applications of the Levitation Charm, twelve inches long, due next Monday."

A chorus of wails erupted in the classroom. Ron slumped in his seat, his face filled with despair.

"Twelve inches? I can't even write six inches."

Hermione, who had already started packing her bag, said without looking up, "You can't write because you don't read."

Harry stood up and stuffed the book into his bag.

"Let's go eat first, there's a duel club event tonight."

Ron's expression immediately changed from despair to tension.

Do you think there will be a lot of people tonight?

"Probably," Harry said. "Percy said he'd bring a few older students."

Ron's face paled slightly, then he took a deep breath, as if to encourage himself.

"Let's go eat first. We'll have the energy to embarrass ourselves when we're full."

"Maybe it's not shameful at all?" Harry laughed.

Ron glanced at him, his expression serious.

Do you recognize me?

Harry laughed even harder.

The auditorium was a bit more lively than usual during dinner time.

People were discussing the dueling club that night at all four long tables, but in reality, only sixteen people had actually signed up.

After all, not everyone is determined to improve themselves; most people just drift along, like the Siberian Husky, happily enjoying each day.

As for Slytherin, the vast majority of them signed up because of Henry's influence, except for the two troll brothers, who were simply following Draco.

At the Gryffindor table, Percy sat at the far end, eating his steak with a serious expression; Fred and George sat opposite him, whispering to each other as they ate, glancing at Percy every now and then, their faces showing as if they were trying not to laugh.

Ginny sat quietly next to Ron, eating her bread, but her eyes kept drifting towards Harry. Her wand lay on the table, next to a copy of "The Beginner's Guide to Duel," which she had borrowed from the library.

"Ginny, are you nervous?" Ron asked.

Ginny looked up, her face slightly flushed.

"It's alright," she said. "Percy said he'd teach us the basics, so it shouldn't be too difficult."

Ron nodded, but his hands clenched and unclenched under the table.

At the Hufflepuff table, Hannah and Susan sat together, discussing their plans for the evening.

Hannah looked excited, while Susan remained calm, only nodding occasionally. Justin sat opposite, eating and gesturing as if he were simulating a duel, almost spilling Ernie's pumpkin juice next to him.

Ernie glared at him.

"Can't you eat properly?"

Justin chuckled, stopping his movements, but still couldn't hide his excitement.

At the Ravenclaw table, Cho Chang sat quietly in the middle, eating her salad.

The girl next to her leaned over and asked if she wanted to go, and she nodded.

Michael Conner sat opposite him, discussing dueling techniques with the person next to him, even though he himself hadn't practiced much.

The atmosphere at the Slytherin table remained as reserved as ever.

Draco cut his steak with elegance, but faster than usual. Pansy picked through the vegetables beside him, glancing occasionally toward the Gryffindor table. Daphne sipped her soup calmly, her fingers occasionally tapping lightly on the rim of her bowl.

Theodore ate his baked potato silently, his expression as calm as a still pond.

Crabbe and Gore sat opposite each other, engrossed in their food, not at all like people going to join some kind of club.

Henry sipped his water slowly, his mind racing with plans for the evening.

Miss Farley is all set. The assistants she found are all sixth-year students, including Slytherins and Ravenclaws, all of whom are excellent at Defense Against the Dark Arts. They have agreed to come and help with the instruction.

Percy will also be bringing people. He said there are several upperclassmen who are very interested in the Duel Club. He didn't say who they were, but given Percy's personality, the people he brings shouldn't be bad.
