Hogwarts: My Grandmother is the Queen

Chapter 206 The Room of Requirement

Chapter 206 The Room of Requirement

Lucy had already gone to the Room of Requirement ahead of time and arranged everything she needed.

The tea, towels, medicine, and several reference dueling manuals were all borrowed from the library.

After dinner, Henry stood at the entrance of the auditorium for a while.

Draco walked over and stood next to him.

"Are you nervous?" he asked.

Henry glanced at him.

"I'm fine, how about you?"

"—A little," Draco said dryly.

"That's normal, it's the first time," Henry said with a smile.

Draco nodded and said nothing more.

At 6:30, Henry emerged from the common room and headed towards the eighth floor. The cellar corridor was dimly lit, and Draco followed beside him, his expression tense, but he tried to appear indifferent.

Pansy and Daphne followed behind, whispering to each other.

Theodore walked silently at the back, followed by Crabbe and Goyle, their expressions blank but filled with unwavering loyalty to their food. Crabbe's eyes darted around, as if searching for something; Goyle, on the other hand, kept his eyes fixed on Draco's back ahead, afraid of losing him.

They went up to the eighth floor and stopped opposite the tapestry depicting the giant stick beating up Barnabas.

The tapestry remained the same, depicting a troll chasing Barnabas with a club, a scene both comical and bizarre.

The edges of the tapestry were worn and the colors had faded, but the giant on it was still tirelessly chasing after that silly Banaba, round and round.

Several people were already waiting. After exchanging pleasantries, Henry walked to the empty wall, closed his eyes, and silently prayed that he needed a dueling arena.

The wall moved, and a smooth door appeared on the wall, slowly opening.

The door was dark, as if carved from a single piece of ebony; the doorknob was silver, engraved with a shield pattern. The shield had no emblems, just a smooth silver surface that reflected the shadows of people standing in front of the door.

Henry pushed open the door and went inside.

Inside, there is not only a dueling arena, but also five rows of audience seats, each with dark green cushions.

The platform is also large enough for two people to practice on it at the same time without interfering with each other.

Dozens of lights floated on the ceiling, emitting a soft, warm white light that illuminated the entire room.

Lucy was already inside; she was standing by the table, adjusting the position of the teapot.

Besides the tea set and refreshments, there was a neatly folded stack of clean towels and several bottles of medicine—for stopping bleeding, reducing swelling, and relieving pain—all taken from Mrs. Pomfrey. The bottles were labeled and categorized for easy access.

When she saw Henry enter, she bowed slightly, and her ears twitched slightly.

"Your Highness, everything is ready."

"Okay." Henry nodded, glancing around the room.

Everything was arranged perfectly; he trusted Lucy to handle things.

Henry told them to make themselves at home and help themselves to whatever they wanted. Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff were quite polite, but Crabbe and Goyle acted like they were part of the group, their cheeks puffed out like hamsters, munching and exclaiming that they had never tasted such delicious desserts before.

"You two—" Small veins popped out on Draco's forehead.

"Alright, Draco," Henry patted him on the shoulder, "eat as much as you can while you can."

At 6:50, the Gryffindors arrived.

Percy walked in front, followed by Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Neville.

Ginny followed at the back, clutching her wand, looking very nervous.

But with Harry around, I wasn't so nervous.

Fred and George didn't come; they said they were researching some new product. Seamus and Dean also didn't come; they said they had to catch up on their Charms class homework.

Percy asked around the common room, and only a few people were willing to come.

As soon as Percy entered, he saw Miss Farley. She was standing by the platform, talking to her assistant.

She was wearing a black practice robe, and her hair was tied in a neat ponytail.

The three assistants standing beside her, two boys and one girl, were all sixth-grade students, with serious expressions, as if they were listening to her tell them something important.

One of them was his girlfriend, Penelope Crivart, who was also a Ravenclaw prefect.

No wonder, he suddenly realized. No wonder Penelope just smiled mysteriously when he invited her; it turned out she had already been invited away by Miss Farley.

Percy walked over and extended his hand.

Miss Farley.

Miss Farley turned around and looked at him.

"Mr. Weasley." She nodded slightly.

The two prefects shook hands; one was from Slytherin, and the other from Gryffindor.

But standing in this room, they were just two senior students who were willing to teach.

"Where is your assistant?" Miss Farley asked.

Percy pointed behind Miss Farley.

"You called my assistant away."

He was referring to Penelope.

"Oh." Miss Farley smiled somewhat seductively, glancing back mysteriously at Penelope, as if she had already obtained some answer.

At exactly seven o'clock, everyone in the room had arrived.

Exactly nineteen: Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville, and Ginny from Gryffindor; Cho Chang and Michael Corner from Ravenclaw; Hannah, Susan, Justin, and Ernie from Hufflepuff; and Draco, Pansy, Daphne, Theodore, Millison, Crabbe, Goyle, and Zabini from Slytherin.

Including Henry, Miss Farley, Percy, Penelope, and two assistants, there were a total of twenty-five people.

Henry walked up to the platform and stood in the middle.

Miss Farley stood to his left, and Percy to his right.

The people below watched them and fell silent, all focusing their attention on the three people on the platform, waiting for them to speak.

"Welcome everyone," Henry said.

The acoustic design of the Room of Requirement is ingenious; you don't need to speak loudly, every word can be clearly heard by everyone.

He looked down at the faces below—Slytherin, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff.

There weren't many people, but every face looked very serious.

There was neither the nonchalant attitude of someone just joining in the fun, nor the reluctance of someone being pulled in.

Everyone chose to come here, and everyone wants to learn something.

"This is our first event," he said. "Today, we'll get to know each other, learn the basic rules, and then practice in groups."

He looked at Miss Fali.

Miss Farley took a step forward, her movements swift and decisive, and stood firmly on the edge of the platform.

"I am Gemma Farley, sixth grade, Slytherin," she said. "Today's instruction."

She glanced at Percy.

Percy took a step forward. His movements were more formal than Miss Farley's, as if he were attending a formal ceremony.
