Chapter 153 The Secret of Castrobruso
After entering the Emerald Dream, Ryan found that the principal of Castrobrusho and several students were still standing there and talking under the totem pole. However, he did not avoid them, but walked over openly.

When he just walked under the totem pole, the principal of Castrobruso looked at him and said gently, "I am very happy to see a fellow who has come from afar. You can discuss the issues with us here first, and then after the discussion, you can go upstairs to look at some of our materials."

After hearing what the principal said, Ryan immediately realized that he had actually been discovered when he first entered the Emerald Dream, and Castrobruso welcomed those foreign guests entering the Emerald Dream.

This reminded Ryan of the teachings of Aunt Betty, a centaur. In her class, she told Ryan that the only people who could enter the Emerald Dream on their own were the evil ones who twisted the surroundings to form the Emerald Nightmare. The rest would be treated as fellow travelers and treated kindly. However, Ryan was skeptical about Aunt Betty's words at the time because he had to be on guard against others. But now it seems that she was right.

While thinking about these things, Ryan listened to everyone's discussion. There were not many people here, only six students besides the principal himself, but these six students were different from the principal, each of them had a mask made of tree bark on their face.

What they are discussing now is how to deal with the Emerald Nightmare that suddenly appeared in the rainforest. It seems that this problem has appeared for several days, and they are discussing it today to make the final decision.

Obviously, everyone is equal in such occasions. Ryan found that the students were seriously discussing issues with the principal, and sometimes even refuted the principal's words, but the principal did not care about these refutations.

After convincing all the students, the headmaster of Castrobruchuo turned to Ryan and asked him about his opinion on this matter. Ryan thought about it, and after omitting the process, he briefly talked about how he cleared the Emerald Nightmare formed by the eight-eyed giant spider in the Forbidden Forest.

"Hmm..." The principal was about to say something after listening to Ryan's narration, when a figure in a green robe walked in from the door. Although he had a mask, he put it on his head. So Ryan recognized him as the professor of Castrobrusho's herbal medicine class.

"Mr. Principal, I'm back from my investigation. The reason why the Emerald Nightmare appeared there is that the seal of an evil god's temple was broken, and the evil Sakshi Sakyu inside escaped."

"Sakshisakyu? What is that?" Ryan asked a student next to him curiously.

"It's a giant bird that looks a lot like the Andean condor. It can drive clouds together to create thunderstorms. It's very similar to the North American thunderbird." A girl wearing a red mask nearby explained enthusiastically.

"Now everyone, come with me to deal with the magical creature that has been contaminated by evil. This guest can stay here for now, and we will be back soon." After listening to the professor's report, the principal stood up and announced his decision.

"By the way, you can stay here as a guest and go inside the house to read books. You can go in through any door you can push open." The principal said to Ryan after arranging all the personnel.

After watching the eight people leave the courtyard, Ryan turned around and went upstairs to see what the book they were talking about was. Because this was just a smaller school, there were not many rooms. Apart from the rooms that were obviously meditation or laboratories, there was only a small room used as a study.

There were some stone shelves in the study, and on the shelves were books made of leaves, but each book was protected by a transparent emerald green magic shield.

After trying around, Ryan found that he was only allowed to read one book.

This book was placed at the entrance of the room. It was also the largest book in the whole house. It was almost half a person's height and was placed alone on a stone platform. The name of the book was "Castro Brussels, the Other Half of the School History". Why would such a school history be collected in such a place? Is it precious? Ryan curiously opened the book and found that it talked about some parts that were not mentioned in the official school history. For example, it recorded the origin of the masks worn by students and professors just now.

The third headmaster of Castrobruso was a wizard who could communicate with the Emerald Dream, and he hoped to pass on this power as part of the school. So he obtained seven masks from the jungle dwarves in exchange for completing several difficult tasks.

As long as the mask is put on, it can help the user enter the Emerald Dream. If there are more such opportunities, the user will have a greater chance than others to master the power of nature and enter the Emerald Dream on their own.

For example, the Herbology professor put on a mask on his head, which meant that he had mastered a part of the power of nature. He only needed the power of the mask as a trigger to enter the Emerald Dream semi-autonomously.

No wonder this school is famous for magical animals and herbology. If people who can enter the Emerald Dream can be mass-produced, they will naturally have expertise in this area as they have an affinity for nature.

In addition, the book records how a large number of schools overcame difficulties step by step and moved towards glory with the help of these people.

After reading the whole book, Ryan began to think about some questions, and finally said to himself: "In the Emerald Dream, although the strangers who control the power of nature are not hostile, they should be neutral when getting along with each other. Why do I feel friendly from the principal? I am not gold, how can everyone like me?"

"Because little Betty asked me to take care of you." A male voice came from behind.

"Oh, sorry, Mr. Principal." Ryan looked a little embarrassed. After all, it was very embarrassing to be caught gossiping about someone behind their back.

"It's okay. Any normal person would be suspicious if they encounter such a situation. You are Betty's apprentice, so you can just call me Mr. Fernando in private. By the way, I see that you are a little confused, and I think you can just ask directly." The principal stroked his white beard and smiled kindly.

"Okay, Mr. Fernando. I want to know why I was allowed to enter the Emerald Dream here. Because as far as I know, some schools want to hide everything about themselves, even the specific location of the school is not known to others. Why is Castro Bruso so open about his secrets?"

"Because the secret of Castrobruso is the Emerald Dream, kid," said Principal Fernando. "You have to know that the Emerald Dream itself is an open space. In the Emerald Dream, intelligent creatures that can move independently, except for the evil natural predators, all gain power from this feedback by maintaining the balance of nature."

"As long as you are sure that you are not a natural predator, you are our natural ally. As you have just seen, this is the largest rainforest in the world, so there are many problems in the local Emerald Dream. So in this Emerald Dream, we have enough resources for everyone to use. The only problem is that there are too few people, and most of the time we are too busy. So we sincerely welcome everyone who shares the same ideals as us to come here. Not to mention that you were recommended by Betty, so you are half one of us, and we naturally welcome you."

"Is that so?" Ryan nodded. This answer finally resolved the biggest doubt in his heart, and he finally relaxed his previously tense nerves.
