The sun was still shining brightly in Diagon Alley, but Vera's mood inevitably darkened.
She should have anticipated this situation—at this point in time, as Blake, she was destined to face all sorts of suspicion and rejection.
However, it's not a big deal.
She turned her wheelchair and arrived at the Madam Malkin's Robe Shop, where the window displays a variety of exquisite school uniforms and formal robes.
"Do you need any help, dear?" a short, plump witch asked warmly, standing in front of the steps with a friendly smile.
"Thank you, but I can manage on my own." Vera politely declined her offer, then lightly touched the runes on the armrest of her wheelchair, and an invisible magical force lifted her steadily onto the steps.
Interestingly, during this process, she was also able to sense the flow of magic power when the Levitation Charm was cast through her magical circuits—
The silvery-white threads wrapped around her wheelchair as if they were alive, then quietly disappeared after she landed.
For some reason, Vera had a gut feeling that although she had only had the wand for less than two hours and had never formally studied magic, she should have no problem casting the levitation charm, which she had seen several times before, if she took the initiative to try.
Is this the learning-aid effect of magic circuits...?

Chapter Seven: Facing the Savior, Despite All Efforts, Resistance Was Insufficient
Led into the shop by Mrs. Malkin, Vera glanced around briefly.
The shop was more spacious than she had imagined, with several shelves filled with robes of various styles, and a huge three-sided mirror in the corner.
To her surprise, there was already a customer in the store—a boy with light blond hair was standing on a footstool, letting an automatic measuring tape move over his body to take measurements.
“It will be over soon, young man,” a witch said to the boy.
The boy turned his head, and a hint of surprise flashed in his gray eyes when he saw Vera's wheelchair.
He raised his chin and asked in a tone clearly smugly superior, "You're also a new student at Hogwarts this year?"
Vera calmly met his gaze: "Yes."
“I am Draco Malfoy,” the boy proudly announced, his eyes fixed on her wheelchair. “What happened to your legs…?”
Vera narrowed her eyes, thought for a moment, and then answered briefly, "Aftereffects of the car accident."
Draco seemed annoyed by her lukewarm response, jumped off the footstool, and walked up to her: "Do you know the Malfoys? My father is one of the school board members."
“Of course I know.” Vera raised her head, a hint of amusement flashing in her dark eyes. “One of the Twenty-Eight Pureblood Families, with multiple marriage alliances with the Black family.”
Draco's eyes widened: "You're from the Black family?"
His attitude immediately changed subtly. "My mother is from the Black family! Narcissa Malfoy, you must know her!"
“Of course.” Vera nodded. “By seniority, she is my aunt.”
"So we're cousins?" Draco said excitedly, completely forgetting his initial arrogance. "Then you'll go to Slytherin, right? All pure-bloods go to Slytherin."
"Perhaps." Vera said noncommittally, pushing her wheelchair to the footstool.
With Mrs. Malkin's help, she was able to smoothly transfer from her wheelchair to a footstool, and the automatic measuring tape immediately began to work.
Draco stood to the side, watching the measuring tape dance around her, and lowered his voice, saying mysteriously, "You must have heard, right? This year, Hogwarts will welcome that savior!"
Vera did not answer, but waited quietly for the measurement to be completed. Mrs. Malkin had specially chosen a standard suit for her and thoughtfully made special arrangements for the hem of the robe to make it easier for wheelchair users to use.
Seeing that she didn't respond, Draco, feeling awkward, bluntly said, "My dad said that maybe we should befriend Potter."
Vera glanced at him and found the man before her rather uninteresting compared to the savior she had just met.
“However—” Draco suddenly changed the subject, glancing at Vera’s wheelchair with a disdainful look, “With you like this, forget about making friends, can you really go to Hogwarts? I heard there are stairs everywhere there.”
Vera's fingers tightened slightly, but her expression remained calm: "Thank you for your concern, but I think Hogwarts should have a way to solve this problem."
"Hmph, I hope so." Draco shrugged. "I don't want to see you fall down the stairs on your first day of school."
He didn't try to hide his voice, which attracted the attention of several students and parents in the shop.
A cold glint flashed in Vera's eyes.
She looked up and lowered her voice beside him, saying, "Cousin Draco, do you know? There's a disease in the Muggle world where the symptom is always meddling in other people's business."
Draco's face flushed bright red: "You—"
“I suggest you go to St. Mungo’s for a checkup,” Vera continued calmly. “After all, it’s only right to care about your cousin’s health, isn’t it?”
Draco's face turned from red to white, a flash of anger crossing his grey-blue eyes: "How dare you speak to me like that! You cripple who can't even walk—"
Before he could finish speaking, the shop door was suddenly pushed open, and a slender figure barged in with considerable presence.
"Apologize to her!" Harley's angry voice blocked Vera's path. "What you just said was too much!"
Vera looked up, somewhat surprised, at Harley, who was standing in front of her.
His thin body was taut, his fists were clenched so tightly they turned white, and his green eyes behind his glasses burned with fury.
Despite being shorter than Draco, he stubbornly stood in front of the wheelchair and refused to give way.
Like a cat with its fur standing on end.
Vera didn't know where she got the idea, but since the savior had already stood up for her, she secretly put away the wand that she had been holding in her sleeve.
Draco was clearly taken aback by someone suddenly confronting him. He took a step back, his eyes widening in surprise: "Who are you? What right do you have to interfere in my affairs?"
“I am Harley Potter.” Harley straightened her back and stared at him indignantly. “And what you just said was extremely rude.”
“Potter?” Draco’s expression instantly became incredibly complex. He looked Harley up and down, his gaze lingering for a moment on the scar on her forehead. “You’re the Potter who defeated Mystic? I heard from my father—”
“I don’t care what your father said,” Harley interrupted him, frowning. “All I know is that what you just said has offended my friend!”
Vera sat quietly in her wheelchair, feeling a little uneasy when she heard a girl she had only known for less than ten minutes call her a friend.
This savior is far too familiar with everyone.
Draco's pale face flushed an unnatural red. He glanced at Harry, then at Vera in her wheelchair, and finally gritted his teeth: "I... I was just stating the facts! She'd be laughed at at Hogwarts looking like this!"
Harley clenched her fists tighter, raising them eagerly as if ready to pounce and punch him at any moment.
Faced with a savior who had no intention of reasoning with him, Draco could only turn around and leave with little confidence, but he deliberately bumped into Harley as he passed by.
Harley stumbled and almost fell.
Vera reacted quickly, grabbing her wrist and steadying her.
"Thank you," Harley said softly, her cheeks slightly flushed.
Vera released her grip and gently shook her head: "There's no need to clash with him because of me."
“But the way he said those things about you—” Harley frowned, “it was so awful!”
Vera looked at Harley's serious expression and suddenly found it somewhat amusing. The savior of this world seemed more impulsive, and also more...pure, than in the original story.
"...What's wrong? Did I say something wrong?" Harley felt a little awkward under her gaze.
Vera looked away and gently shook her head: "I just didn't expect you to come along."
“It’s not that I followed you here, it’s that I met you again!” Harley emphasized again, and under Vera’s gaze, her tone gradually became a little guilty. “It’s good that I met you again.”
Vera gazed at Harley's slightly reddened earlobes, a faint smile curving her lips.
"Thank you," she said softly.

"Thank you."
Vera's voice was very soft, but Harry's eyes lit up instantly as if she had heard some great praise.
“You’re welcome!” Harley grinned, revealing two small fangs. “I just can’t stand the way he talks.”
Vera noticed that Halle's old T-shirt had a frayed collar and several barely noticeable patch marks on the cuffs.
"Have you bought everything you needed?" Vera changed the subject, pushing her wheelchair to the counter and taking the package from Mrs. Malkin.
Harley shook her head: "Not yet. Hagrid said the robe is the last thing."
"Alright, darling," Mrs. Malkin said to Harley after settling the bill. "It's your turn."
Harley nodded repeatedly, clumsily climbed onto the footstool, and watched curiously as the automatic measuring tape worked in front of her.
Vera sat quietly to the side, her fingers idly stroking Knox.
The kitten squinted comfortably and purred softly.
She didn't know when Haharie had looked at her, but standing on the footstool, she suddenly spoke up: "Actually, I'm a little nervous... about Hogwarts. Hagrid said there are moving staircases and ghosts and stuff..."
Vera watched as Harley nervously pushed up her glasses, realizing that this girl was also experiencing the magical world for the first time.
“I was surprised when I first heard about it,” Vera said softly. “But I heard that freshmen are guided by upperclassmen and won’t get lost.”
Harley's beautiful green eyes widened with curiosity. Just as she was about to say something, the shop door was pushed open again, and Hagrid's massive body squeezed in.
"Harley! So you're here!" Hagrid breathed a sigh of relief, but his expression became subtle when he saw Vera. "Uh... is the dress ready?"
Harley glanced back at Hagrid, then at Vera, and hesitated for a moment. "Vera, do you want to come with us? Hagrid said he'd take me to get ice cream..."
Vera lowered her eyelashes indifferently: "No need, I still have things to buy."
Harley's green eyes dimmed for a moment, but quickly brightened again: "Then... can we meet when school starts? I mean, if we can go to school together..."
Vera looked at the persistent girl and kindly reminded her, "Miss Potter, we've only known each other for less than twenty minutes."
“But we’ve already fought a nasty guy together!” Harley said, looking earnestly into her eyes.
Vera paused for a moment, still not quite comfortable dealing with such an enthusiastic little one, and finally nodded gently: "If there's a chance."
This ambiguous answer seemed to have satisfied Harley.
She flashed a bright smile, took the package Mrs. Malkin handed her, and jumped off the footstool: "Then it's settled! See you...when school starts?"
Vera nodded gently, then, as if remembering something, said softly, "Oh, right, happy birthday."
Harley's eyes lit up: "How did you know?"
“He just mentioned birthday presents,” Vera replied calmly. “Isn’t that owl your birthday present?”
"You're the first person besides Hagrid to say that to me!" Harley said excitedly, suddenly bending down to give her a tight hug, then quickly pulling away. "Thank you, see you at the start of the semester!"
Watching Harley quickly leave after saying thank you, Vera blinked and touched Knox on her lap.
"What a strange savior," she murmured to herself.
Surprisingly, it's not unpleasant to people.
I finished purchasing the items on the school enrollment list, just past noon.
Vera pushed the wheelchair away from Madam Malkin's shop, the sunlight slanting across the cobblestone streets of Diagon Alley, casting a warm golden glow.
Knox yawned lazily on her lap, his amber eyes half-closed, seemingly uninterested in everything around him.
She glanced down at the list, made sure she had bought all the necessities, then returned to the Leaky Cauldron and used FlooNet's fireplace to get back to Grimmauld Place.
Kreacher had been waiting for a long time and excitedly greeted Vera as soon as she appeared.
"Miss is back!" Kreacher hurried forward. "Kreacher has prepared Miss's favorite fruit tea!"
Vera nodded, took out the purchased items one by one and handed them to Kreacher, who then helped her hang the robe in the wardrobe and neatly stacked the textbooks on the desk.
Knox leaped lightly onto the bookshelf, surveying his new surroundings from above, his tail swaying gracefully.
“Miss seems very happy today.” Kreacher said, tidying up the items while secretly observing Vera’s expression. “Did something good happen?”
Vera took out her wand and stroked it lightly, a smile unconsciously creeping onto her lips: "I suppose so."
The wand, made of rosewood, felt cool and smooth to the touch, with golden patterns carved on its surface that shimmered faintly in the sunlight.
Vera stared at the wand, then suddenly remembered something and looked up to ask, "Kreacher, is there a place at home to practice spells?"
The little elf's ears twitched: "There's an abandoned training room in the Black mansion, at the end of the fourth-floor corridor, but..."
He hesitated, twisting the tea towel. "No one has used that place in a long time..."
“Take me to see it.” Vera pushed her wheelchair forward, her eyes gleaming with eager anticipation.
The house-elves could not disobey their master's commands.
Even with reservations, Kreacher could only dutifully agree.
In the fairy's magic, Vera's wheelchair was lifted by an invisible force and floated steadily in the air.
