“Generally speaking, dangerous ability users like him would be imprisoned in Impel Down. We wouldn’t let him die so easily.”
As Mercer walked ahead, he turned the corner and looked at the newly appeared room, which was exquisitely furnished and was undoubtedly the captain's cabin.
"Hancock, could you help me loot some treasure from those human traffickers outside? Thanks."
Hancock frowned. Being under someone's roof, bowing one's head wasn't a bad thing, but of course, it wasn't just that:
".All right."
She then glared at Messer and took her two younger sisters to clean up the battlefield. She had done similar chores before on the Nine Serpents' ship.
Bogart and Bogart entered the room and began a thorough search, turning everything upside down. In no time, they found three boxes, one large, one medium, and one small.
First, open the small one. Inside, there's a box full of glittering gold bars.
"Wow, these guys are really rich. This box has at least 80 million Berries."
"Are you happy?" Messer pursed his lips. "There are still two left. You can be happy after you've unlocked them all."
The medium-sized box was full of ledgers and transaction records, useless junk to Moses.
The large box contained a whole box of weapons, all kinds of firearms, wrapped in oil paper, and they were brand new. However, they were still of little use to Mercer, but Bogart was quite happy.
This is hard currency.
Moses didn't care; he could just convert the price difference into gold later.
They made a fortune from this side hustle, and the two of them felt perfectly justified in taking it.
Moses made no mention of the handling of the slave ships.
The two then searched the boat again, but didn't find anything unexpected.
on the deck.
The human traffickers who had been dealt with by the two men were piled up, just waiting to be thrown into the sea at a more distant location after they set sail tomorrow.
Feeding fish with this garbage is just making them rich.
Also, the Bailey that the human trafficker named Ciri took from Moses has returned to Moses's hands.
Mercer was counting his Baileys.
Bogart, a cigarette dangling from his lips, looked at Mercer and asked, "Are you going back to the warship to sleep, or are you staying here with me?"
Moses glanced at him. "I have no intention of sleeping with a corpse. You can sleep by yourself. I'll call some people over for you tomorrow."
Moses ignored Bogart, walked to the hull, threw down a rope ladder, and climbed down in a few quick movements.
With three little followers following behind him, Bogart was both angry and amused, and helpless at the same time.
Walking in the harbor,
Moses asked, "What are your plans? Do you have a way to contact Kuja?"
Hancock walked beside Moses and nodded. "I remember the Den Den Mushi number on the ship. Can I borrow it for a moment?"
Moses agreed, "Alright, then come with me to the warship."
"Mercy, may I call you Mercer?" After a while, walking along the road, Hancock said nervously, "Thank you for saving us."
"Now you know you should thank me properly. Why didn't you do that earlier?" Moses chuckled. "Sure, I've always called you Hancock, haven't I? Names are meant to be called."
Chatting along the way, the four of them soon arrived at the warship's dock. After greeting the marines on duty, they were led to Garp's room, which was also Mercer's temporary room.
Garp hasn't come back yet.
Looks like he won't be coming back tonight either.
He led Hancock to the table, handed her the pink and white Den Den Mushi, and watched as she dialed the number and excitedly connected with an acquaintance on the other end.
About ten minutes.
The phone hangs up.
Hancock finally breathed a sigh of relief, a bright smile spreading across her face, and she suddenly became lively.
"I've already made contact. They're currently in the waters near Water 7. I've arranged to meet them there tomorrow."
At this point, Hancock blushed slightly, a little embarrassed: "Méther, could you help me out again? Are you passing through Water 7 tomorrow?"
"What if we don't go through it?"
“Then we’ll take a merchant ship there tomorrow,” Hancock said somewhat helplessly.
"Fine, you look so pitiful, I'll give you a ride." Moses didn't mention that he was going to pass through there anyway, and although he hadn't told Garp, he figured Garp wouldn't refuse. Hancock was a little confused: "Won't this take up too much of your time?"
Moses: "On the way."
Hancock: "You bastard."
Seeing Hancock's discomfiture, her two sisters chuckled to themselves.
Coo coo coo.
A rumble of stomach rumbled, and all three girls blushed. Hancock, being the eldest, had no choice but to speak up: "We haven't had a proper meal in the past few days. Now that we've relaxed, we're hungry. Do you have anything to eat?"
Mercer sighed, "The cooks have all gone out to play. Come on, I'll take you out to eat. I'd like to have some more food too."
The four of them disembarked from the warship and had a delicious meal at the night market. After they finished eating, they realized they were covered in dirt. Mercer took pity on them and, after they promised to repay him tenfold, took them to buy clothes.
A hotel.
The place was simply called a hotel. Moses paid for it, and Hancock booked a deluxe double room.
Two bedrooms, one living room, one bathroom, and one toilet.
The four took turns washing up. Mercer went first and then went back to her room to sleep. The Hancock sisters washed up together, and the three of them slept in one room. Fortunately, the bed was big enough.
Silent all night.
……
The next day.
Moses got up early.
I went for a morning run around the harbor, and during that time I went to a warship, took fifteen marines to the slave ship, bought breakfast, and also brought some for Bogart.
After watching for a while, they opened the cages, released the unfortunate souls, carefully recorded their information, and then began the resettlement process.
Afterwards, they took breakfast to the hotel, and after having breakfast with the three Hancock sisters, they went to the slave ship together.
This was Hancock's request, because staying on the warship would be somewhat uncomfortable and would not be conducive to reuniting with the Kuja people later.
They met Garp, who hadn't returned all night, on the slave ship.
Moses was fine, but Hancock was quite shocked.
She never expected that the warship she boarded last night would belong to Garp.
As soon as they met, Garp walked over with an indescribable expression on his face.
"Mercy, you were quite the character last night. You really made me proud."
Garp placed his rough, large hand on Mercer's head and rubbed it. Then he grabbed Mercer's waist with both hands and lifted him up. In a dizzying moment, Mercer was sitting in Garp's arms.
With a face full of shame, Mercer said helplessly, "Sir, there are so many people here, could you please not hug me like this? I'm not a child."
As she spoke, Moses noticed the Hancock sisters sitting in a corner of the deck, both of them looking smirking.
Garp was taken aback, then glanced at Hancock and the other two with a half-smile, before looking at Moses with amusement: "If you're not a brat, then who is? Who's the youngest person on this ship?"
With that, Garp shouted at the marines on the ship, "Stop right there, tell me, who is the youngest kid on this ship?"
The scene fell silent.
The next moment, pairs of eyes turned to look, not only the marines, but also the unfortunate men who had been arrested and were registering on the deck.
A few seconds later.
It's unclear who started laughing first, but then, like a virus, deafening laughter erupted one after another.
"Pfft, who else could it be but little Messer?"
“Not bad, not bad, the youngest kid on the ship is none other than little Mercer.”
"Hehe, Mercer is so funny, she looks so silly being picked up."
Mercer's face flushed red, but he immediately took a deep breath, calmed himself, and suppressed the awkwardness in his heart.
Held in Garp's arms, Garp looked down at the crowd as if they were idiots, his eyes clear, and his childish voice rang out:
"Are you all idiots? What's so funny? Your sense of humor is so low, are your brains full of paramecia?"
The scene fell silent again.
But then...
"Little Messer's voice is quite nice, and she's actually quite good at swearing."
"Hey, Mercer, say a few more curses, I want to hear them."
"That's right, that's right, especially that expression just now, like he was looking at an insect, it was absolutely amazing."
Hancock, who was not far away, blinked. For some reason, she felt that the way Mercer had cursed earlier was really cool. She wished she could stand on a high place and curse back like that.
"It'll feel so good!"
A smile curved his lips as he looked at Messer with a beaming smile, as if he wanted to etch that expression into his mind forever.
Moses turned to look at Garp, his expression unreadable. "Master, where did they learn to be so stupid? I've heard that people always admire the strong?"
Garp nodded, a look of doubt in his eyes: "Is that so?"
But the more he thought about it, the more uneasy he felt. He stared at Moses, his lips twitching violently. "You little brat, are you insulting me?"
Mercer sighed helplessly, "How could I bear to scold you? Don't you know? You are one of the two people I respect the most."
Karp immediately beamed with joy.
Bogart, who was preparing for the sea voyage, rubbed his forehead and muttered, "This guy's IQ is just unbelievable."
A short while later, Garp returned to the warship, while Messer and Bogart remained there.
With everything prepared, the warships led the way, followed by the slave ships, and sailed towards their destination with the ocean currents.
