Messer put the Soul Crystal into his panel, ignoring everyone else, and immediately spread his Observation Haki to sense Bogart not far away, using this "inner vision" perception ability to scan him.

Immediately afterward, the sensed presence shifted, appearing on the ship above him in the blink of an eye. Mercer breathed a sigh of relief: "This time it's alright, I wasn't late."

Reaching the door, he used the chain to fasten the door from the inside. "Phew, I can finally breathe a sigh of relief."

Mercer plopped down on the stool by the door, rubbing his temples. For safety's sake, he hadn't held back this time, taking three lives in one fell swoop.

Moses' eyes were slightly closed, a turmoil of thoughts swirling within him. He thought to himself, 'Nervous? Not at all. Not even a shred of emotion. It's like killing a reindeer.'

Moses knew that this was thanks to the overly intelligent nature of the animals in this world. Over the years, Moses, who had been hunting frequently, had been well trained and no longer cared about such things.

'Furthermore, these guys deserved to die. Those who don't treat others like human beings don't deserve to be treated like human beings either.'

He who kills will be killed in return, and I am no exception. I am aware of this.

Are you alright?

At that moment, a surprised voice rang out. Mercer knew who it was without even looking. The next moment, the handle of a scalpel was handed over, and the bloodstains on the blade were wiped clean.

Mercer took a deep breath, his gaze returning to calm. He reached out and took the scalpel, looking into her eyes: "What's wrong? Is something the matter?"

Hancock lowered her head and bit her lip, then suddenly looked up, her eyes blazing: "You were deliberately provoking me, weren't you? Deliberately trying to anger me to get their attention, weren't you?"

Moses looked at Hancock, who had leaned close to him, and smirked. "What are you thinking about? You've been reading too many picture books. I didn't expect you to get so excited. Are you an idiot?"

In a situation where life and death are not in one's own hands, it's astonishing how someone could be so brainless. It seems no one can blame them for being captured by slave traders.

However, I'll still give you credit for what you did earlier; you did contribute, so you deserve encouragement.

Mercer patted Hancock on the shoulder, smiled at her twitching, annoyed expression, and shoved her head away.

Pushed back two steps, Hancock was furious:

"Me, an idiot? What about you? You only killed a few small fry. There are much more powerful ones above you. Can you beat them?"

"You can't beat them, can you?"

"Ha, I thought you were so great, but you still can't beat me."

Hancock looked smug, as if she had won a round. Moses gave Hancock a strange look. "Which side are you on?"

Hancock's expression froze, and just as she was about to speak, Moses put his left index finger to his lips: "Shh, listen."

Hancock was somewhat suspicious, not understanding what Mercer meant, but in those few seconds, it seemed as if a series of angry roars and screams came from above, one after another.

Hancock's eyes suddenly widened, and she looked at Moses with some anticipation: "Do you know what's going on?"

Mercer gave her an approving look. "Not too stupid. You have some brains. How could someone as smart as me be caught by a few petty thieves? I'm not an idiot like you."

Hancock fell silent.

She suddenly squatted down on the ground, biting her lip and not saying a word.

Mercer had no intention of going up; his task was to guard the hostages here, and he would leave that to Bogart.

Scanning the cages and looking at the group of "unlucky souls" inside, Moses stood up and walked towards Jude, then addressed the two Hancock sisters who approached:

"Go see your sister, she seems to be having a mental breakdown."

The two looked at Moses with strange expressions. The older sister was having a mental breakdown. Who was responsible for this?

But he didn't say anything, just nodded obediently.

Moses took the keychain from the iron gate, jingling it as he swung it around in his hand, looking at the people in the dungeon: "Don't worry, this ship has been taken over by the Navy."

"You should stay here quietly for now. The navy will handle your affairs later. All you need to do is stay here obediently."

After Moses finished speaking, he ignored them and showed no intention of opening the cage to release them. After all, no one knew anyone else, and Moses did not know their specific background.

Perhaps there are pirates among them.

Eh?

There really is.

He glanced discreetly at the three Hancock sisters, who were inexplicably radiating tension.

That tension was visible to the naked eye.

About three minutes.

Bang bang bang!

There was a knock on the iron gate, followed by Bogart's voice.

"Mercy, are you in there? How are you? Are you alright?"

Mercer said calmly, "Too slow. I've already finished here. I've been waiting for you for a long time."

Reaching the door, he removed the chains, opened the door, and saw Bogart standing before him, his clothes spotless, showing no signs of having been in battle.

Mercer asked curiously, "Didn't you encounter that ability user?"

"Upon seeing him, I chopped him down with a single stroke."

Bogart coolly replied, "His abilities are not bad, but his strength is not that great. He's only at the level of a 50 million bounty. It'll only take one strike."

"Then why did you dawdle for so long?" Mercer said irritably, "You made me worry for nothing."

Bogart's mouth opened slightly, wanting to curse but unable to utter a word, finally uttering, "Are you worried about me?"

"Hmm, if I'm worried you can't win, how can I save myself?"

Bogart sighed, rubbing his forehead. "You really aren't cute."

"None of your business," Mercer laughed. "Since you've already taken care of things up there, let's go treasure hunting. Let's leave things here for now and let him handle it tomorrow."

"alright."

Chapter 16's intelligence is truly something else!

Who are these three?

Bogart looked at the three Hancock sisters, and seeing that they weren't in their cages, asked curiously, "Do you know them?"

“Yeah, an acquaintance.” Mercer nodded. “A cellmate, just a bit slow. Otherwise, he’s fine.”

Bogart was speechless: "You're quite something, hooking up with three beautiful girls in the blink of an eye."

Moses glared at him: "If you can talk, then say a few more words."

Bogart was speechless at Messer's words. "So, what do you plan to do with your comrades?"

“Ask them,” Moses said, looking at the somewhat nervous Hancock. “So, do you want to stay here and wait for them to make arrangements, or do you want to come up here with me and have some fun?”

Hancock glanced cautiously at Bogart, then whispered, "Are you the Navy?"

Moses: "He's not me, I'm just a freeloader. I come out here to earn some extra money on the side."

Hancock thought for a moment, feeling somewhat embarrassed, but finally gritted her teeth and said, "He won't arrest me, will he?"

“Hey!” Moses stepped forward, beckoning Hancock to lower her head. Hancock hesitated for a moment, but gritted her teeth and did as she was told. Moses whispered in Hancock's ear:

Are you wanted by a bounty?

"No." Hancock's eyes lit up, and she took a step back, looking at Moses with her beautiful eyes: "I'm not exactly a pirate yet, so there's no problem."

Looking at the innocent and adorable Hancock, Messer smirked and turned to look at the bewildered Bogart. "This girl dreams of becoming a pirate, but she doesn't have a bounty on her head. She was just worried that you might arrest her."

Bogart's lips twitched violently, he was somewhat frantic, but he still explained:

“In principle, this girl is a potential dangerous element, but right now she is nothing and is still an ordinary civilian, so I don’t care.”

“See?” Moses shrugged at Hancock. “To others, you’re nothing. You were just being presumptuous. A bit narcissistic.”

"Hehehe! I'm really sorry for being narcissistic." Hancock's face darkened, and she gave a dry laugh. As she laughed, her eyes reddened, and a voice as faint as a mosquito's buzz rang out:

"Thank you!"

Moses clicked his tongue, looking at the young empress before him. He figured she must have been under a lot of pressure. He stood on tiptoe and patted her shoulder.

"What's with the coy talk? Say thank you louder, who are you trying to hear by speaking so softly? You idiot."

Her flat chest began to rise and fall. Looking at her sharp-tongued little brother, who was a head shorter than her, Hancock clenched her fists, her face darkening, and threw a punch.

I noticed her actions.

Moses jumped back to dodge, and Hancock followed up with a punch.

"You brat, I'll beat you to death! You stop right there!"

"Can't hit it, can't hit it, just can't hit it, you idiot Hancock."

"Aaaaaah!!! You called me stupid again? I'm not stupid at all! Toritoma says I'm smart! You stop right there!!"

The two chased each other in the small space. Finally, Moses found an opportunity and, taking advantage of Hancock's momentary lapse in reaction time, jumped up and kicked her in the butt. Hancock immediately fell onto her sister in front of her.

Bogart watched with amusement, a smile playing on his lips, revealing a doting auntie grin: "Youth is truly wonderful!"

As they watched Moses run up the stairs, the Hancock sisters followed in turn.

A hint of surprise flashed in Bogart's eyes. Torituma? The current queen of the Nine Serpents? But it's been quite a while since she's been seen on the sea.

Were these three little girls originally from Kuja?

"Well, there's no bounty, so why should I care?"

Bogart, too lazy to think any further, glanced back at the cells behind him, said, "You guys rest first, I'll come and settle you tomorrow," and then chased after them.

The ship's corridor was now in ruins, with human traffickers lying haphazardly on the ground, blood flowing everywhere.

Mercer walked down the corridor on the blood-free floor, and the Hancock sisters behind her slowed their pace as well.

At a corner,

A burly man lay in a pool of blood, a gash in his chest that had nearly cleaved him in two. He was already lifeless. Bogart followed, saying calmly:

"This is Razorhands, Jacks. I was in a hurry, so I used too much force. I didn't expect him to be so weak. He couldn't even withstand one blow. I didn't intend to kill him."

Mercer looked at Bogart with a strange expression. "If he were still alive, he would probably be furious to death after hearing what you said. I didn't know you had such a sharp tongue."

"Who do you think I'm doing this for? If it weren't for worrying about you, brat, I wouldn't be in such a rush," Bogart said with a sullen laugh.
