Chapter 77 S.H.I.E.L.D. Joins the Fray

Just as Adam and his companions flew into the airspace of Gambiria, they were found by the insectoids sent by Magneto. After a battle, Adam and Maxim worked together to freeze the wings of all the insects, causing them to fall to the ground.

After seeing this, Adam shouted, "Good! Let's show them what we're capable of!"

Following Adam's words, everyone began to use their skills to eliminate the remaining dozen or so insects. Only the leader, Moore, survived; this cunning fellow had one of his henchmen take a hit for him, thus ensuring his survival.

Moore glared menacingly at the X-Men below and said, "You just wait! You killed the men of the great wizard Einstein, and Lord Einstein will surely avenge us!" With that, he exploded with a bang.

Upon seeing this, Adam quickly moved and, together with Maxim and Logan, moved everyone away from the area. When they looked back, they found that the place where they had just fought had been completely corroded by the venom splashed out by Moore's self-destruction.

Storm was shocked when she saw this and said, "It's a good thing Adam and Maxim are here, otherwise we would definitely be seriously injured by now."

Cyclops nodded and said, "Not bad. I didn't expect him to choose self-destruction when he could have escaped. He's ruthless."

"Hello, X-Men, where are you?"

Adam laughed and said, "That's right, it should be them. But we heard from their leader today that they are just under the command of a wizard named Ince."

Natasha trembled upon hearing this. She hadn't expected Adam to insult her like this. She stared blankly at Adam, as if trying to get to know the person in front of her all over again.

After reading it, Adam gave a sarcastic smile and said, "What? Didn't you say you wanted to prove your love? Didn't you want to prove your feelings? Heh, come on!"

Natasha felt a pang of sadness upon hearing this, but at that moment she noticed the sorrow hidden deep in Adam's eyes. She gritted her teeth and said, "I said I would prove my love, and I will prove it to you!" With that, she slowly knelt before Adam.

Just as Natasha's eyes welled with tears, and she was about to put the object in her mouth, Adam suddenly disappeared. When he reappeared, he was dressed. She stared blankly at Adam, not understanding what he meant.

Adam looked at Natasha and said coldly, "Leave!"

Natasha said, "Adam? But I must make you believe me!"

Adam grabbed Natasha and shoved her out of the house, saying, "Get out! Don't ever show your face in front of me again!" He then slammed the door shut.

After being pushed out by Adam, Natasha leaned against the door behind her, revealing a charming smile, and murmured, "As expected, you still love me, Adam. I will never lose you again this time, never!" Then she left.

Adam, preoccupied with his own thoughts, didn't notice Natasha's murmurs at all. He spent the entire night lost in thought and didn't fall asleep until the early hours of the morning.

The next day, Adam stepped out of his room and found that the X-Men had all recovered. After everyone had finished breakfast, he explained the plan he had discussed with Phil Coulson the night before. Then, Phil Coulson, Natasha, and others from S.H.I.E.L.D. boarded their own transport plane with several hundred people and left the S.H.I.E.L.D. branch with the X-Men.

After flying for half an hour, the X-Men's fighter jets and S.H.I.E.L.D.'s transport planes arrived near the capital of Camberia. After hearing this, Adam said, "Now is not the time to talk about this. Logan, the two of us will quietly go and take care of those people. The rest of you, remember not to be too careless. I haven't seen any trace of mutants yet, which is a bit abnormal."

Natasha nodded and said, "Okay, you all be careful too."

Adam paused slightly upon hearing this, nodded to Logan, and then vanished in a flash.
