Coulson nodded and said, "Yes, we need to reassess the opponent's strength. In addition to speed and strength, they also have X-ray vision and heat rays. The temperature of the heat rays should be very high. We haven't found any weaknesses yet."

Adam asked in confusion, "S.H.I.E.L.D.? Who is that?"

Athena said, "It's this person, her name is Maria Hill, and she's the current commander of S.H.I.E.L.D." After saying that, she sent Adam a picture of a cool and beautiful woman wearing a light blue women's suit.

Adam was even more puzzled when he saw this and asked, "What is she here for?" He didn't believe that his identity had been exposed.

Athena shrugged and said, "How should I know? I'm an intelligent computer, not an omnipotent one. You idiot master!"

Adam almost choked after hearing this, saying, "Don't go to weird websites anymore. You're starting to complain all the time."

Ding-dong! The doorbell rang.

Adam asked via video, "Huh? Who are you looking for, beautiful lady?"

Maria Hill said calmly, "Mr. Howard sent me here. Please open the door."

Upon hearing that Howard had introduced them, Adam shrugged and had Athena open the door, waiting for Maria Hill's arrival. He had no good influence over the S.H.I.E.L.D. people, not even the seemingly gentle and elegant Phil Coulson. They were all agents, and agents were masters of acting!

Maria Hill was not surprised by Adam's rudeness at all, because according to the records, Adam Stark was such a person: a gentle, witty and charming young man in public, but a cold and aloof nerd at home.

Maria Hill walked in, looked at Adam and said, "Hello, I'm from a state secret agency. I need your help with something."

Adam said calmly, "What is it?" Since his father introduced him, he would definitely help, but he wouldn't help for nothing.

Maria Hill, unfazed by Adam's coldness, explained, "It's about computer network security. Our department was hacked, and Mr. Howard recommended you to us."

Adam chuckled inwardly, but kept a straight face and said, "Alright, since Father sent you, I agree. I'll go help you!"

Chapter Thirty-Three: Maria Hill's Shock

After receiving a call from Phil Coulson, Nick Fury, the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., discovered that his security system had been hacked without his knowledge. Enraged, he ordered his researchers to find the vulnerability immediately. However, their investigation yielded no results. Realizing the gravity of the situation, he had no choice but to call Howard Stark for help.

Howard Stark was taken aback when he received the call. "You mean you want me to help you deal with the security risks?"

Nick Fury nodded and said, "Yes, sir, I need your help!"

Howard understood what the other person meant after a moment's thought and said, "You want me to talk to Adam?"

Nick Fury said, "That's right, I've heard of him."

Howard was, after all, one of the founders of S.H.I.E.L.D., so he couldn't refuse Nick Fury's request. Therefore, he said, "Okay, I'll help you with this, but stay away from my family in the future, and don't ask him to do it in the name of S.H.I.E.L.D.! That's my bottom line."

Howard knew that Adam would eventually have contact with S.H.I.E.L.D., but he didn't want to do so so soon because the current S.H.I.E.L.D. felt very unfamiliar to him. If it weren't for some past feelings, he certainly wouldn't have helped Adam.

After hearing this, Nick Fury said, "I understand, I'll be careful!"

Howard concluded, "When you send someone there, as long as you mention my name, he won't refuse you. But whether he makes any demands is beyond my control."

Nick Fury said, "I'll have someone I trust talk to him. Everything will be fine, don't worry!"

Howard was relieved and said, "Alright, you can go find him yourselves. I don't think I need to tell you his address."

Nick Fury ignored Howard's sarcasm and said calmly, "Well, thank you for your help, Mr. Howard," before ending the call.

The above dialogue explains why Maria Hill came to see Adam. Why did Nick Fury send Maria Hill in person? Adam is a notorious playboy, and sending a beautiful woman would make things simpler; that's what Nick Fury thought.

Sure enough, when Mary Hill told him her purpose, Adam agreed without hesitation.

Just as Maria Hill was feeling somewhat pleased, Adam calmly spoke up.

“I can help, but I won’t help you for nothing.”

Maria Hill replied, "Okay, we'll offer ten million dollars, and you'll also gain our friendship."

Adam shook his head and said, "Ten million US dollars?! Oh no, it would have to be at least one hundred million US dollars. I'm not interested in your friendship."

Upon hearing this, Maria Hill replied, "One hundred million US dollars? Impossible, at most fifty million US dollars!"

Adam laughed and said, "Deal!"

Maria Hill took a check from her side, quickly wrote it down, and handed it to Adam.

Adam was taken aback for a moment, then said, "So you guys were prepared all along? Haha, your department is really rich!"

Adam was surprised and said, "Huh?! Wasn't it supposed to be a secret department? How did you give out the address?" For some reason, he just liked teasing this kind of ice queen.

Maria Hill said calmly, "The exact location is confidential, Mr. Adam. I think we should set off!"

Adam shrugged and said, "Okay, I'll change my clothes! Athena, please take care of the guest."

Athena replied, "Yes, Master."

Maria Hill's eyes flashed with disgust upon hearing this, assuming Adam was hiding a woman. But this disgust was quickly replaced by surprise, for she saw Athena! A holographic beauty, clearly an intelligent butler.

Immediately, Maria Hill felt relieved. This was something Adam had shown him, the best way for Adam Stark to prove himself. Upon seeing this, the deep distrust hidden in Maria Hill's eyes disappeared.

Athena looked at Maria Hill's expression with amusement and said calmly, "Master has gone to change her clothes. Please wait a moment. What would you like to drink? Juice or coffee?"

Maria Hill, wanting to test the capabilities of this smart home assistant, said, "A cappuccino, please."

Athena smiled and said, "Okay, please wait a moment." She then walked to the coffee machine and started it. Soon, a cup of coffee was ready.

Maria wondered how Athena would bring the coffee to her; after all, no matter how realistic Athena was, she was still just a hologram and couldn't touch the actual object. But Maria's doubts quickly vanished. After the coffee was brewed, the tray beneath it suddenly moved, tracking Athena's movements at a steady pace. It turned out to be a cleverly designed robot. It seemed as if Athena had pushed the tray to Maria's side—quite magical.

Maria Hill picked up her coffee and asked, "What's this?"

Athena smiled and said, "This is a miniature robot designed by Young Master Tony and his master together."

Maria Hill has completely trusted Adam's abilities. He is a rare genius who can create an intelligent butler like Athena and such ingenious robots. Maria has decided to go back and talk to Nick Fury about bringing Adam Stark into S.H.I.E.L.D.

Just as Maria Hill was pondering these thoughts, Adam emerged, having changed his clothes. His sharp black suit, combined with his handsome appearance, was incredibly attractive. Of course, Maria Hill would never admit that she, too, was drawn to this outstanding man.

Adam glanced at Mary, who seemed somewhat dazed, and coughed to bring her back to her senses.

Maria snapped out of her daze and quickly stood up, saying, "Mr. Adam is ready, so let's get going."

Adam smiled and said, "Just call me Adam, no need to add 'sir'."

Maria Hill replied, "Okay, Adam, um, you can call me Hill. We can fly directly to our headquarters, is that alright?"

Adam shrugged and said, "Of course, no problem. Athena, lock the doors and windows and keep a good watch over the house!" After saying that, he and Maria Hill walked out of the villa.

On the way to the airport, Maria asked, "Is that Athena a smart butler?"

Adam nodded and said, "Yeah, how about it? Impressive, right? Want me to make one for you guys too? It's not expensive, only a billion dollars will do."

“Uh, no need!” A billion dollars?! Maria Hill knew that Nick Fury wouldn’t spend that much money to create a butler, so she said, “We don’t have that need at the moment.”

Adam laughed and said, "Haha, look how scared you are. I was just kidding. Athena is not perfect enough. Actually, I originally wanted to create an assistant to help me with scientific research, but she ended up becoming my housekeeper."

This is what they mean by blatantly lying. However, Adam's purpose in bringing Athena out was simply to prove his strength, so he didn't need to let her know that Athena was a super-intelligent computer.

Sure enough, upon hearing Adam's words, Maria Hill said, "That's already very impressive, but what interests me is that robot."

After hearing this, Adam said, "Oh, you mean Little Dumbo? He was created by Tony. Maybe you can wait, because I know Tony will announce this invention soon, and then you can talk to him."

Maria smiled and said, "I will. Well, we've arrived!" Then she stopped the car.

Adam got out of the car, looked at the black transport plane in front of him, and said, "That's cool! We'll use this to get to your base."

Maria Hill nodded and said, "Yes, it's fast and discreet!" Then she boarded the plane first.

Chapter Thirty-Four: Magneto's Purpose

P.S.: "There was a problem, I made some changes, sorry."

Adam boarded the plane, looked at the interior decorations, and said, "Oh, this is great. Seeing this makes me think even more that buying a private jet is a good idea."

Maria Hill laughed and said, "Really? This is our latest transport aircraft. Its speed can rival that of a regular fighter jet, which is unmatched by ordinary aircraft."

After hearing this, Adam said, "I'm interested in your department. By the way, if I'm going to buy this plane, will your boss shoot me?"

Maria Hill laughed and said, "No, at most I'll just kick your butt."

And so, Maria Hill and Adam chatted and laughed all the way, arriving over Washington in less than half an hour. Immediately, the plane's windows were closed. Maria Hill explained that this was to prevent the headquarters' address from being revealed, to which Adam shrugged and said nothing.

The plane landed very safely.

Adam said, "I love this plane, it's amazing! You really aren't selling it?"

After hearing this, Maria Hill said, "You can order one."
