I'm building Gundams in America

Chapter 5 Royal Court Rebels

Wayne walked up to the curled-up corpse and looked around.

"Who dropped this?"

No one responded.

Wayne stepped forward and patted the corpse on the shoulder in a routine manner. Seeing that there was no response, he then turned the corpse over.

He was an old yet young Black teenager.

Although he looked only a teenager, the boy was already bald, his forehead was full of wrinkles, and he had a happy smile on his face, as if he had already gone to Wakanda.

[You searched the body of Goblin Joey. As a somewhat successful enhancer dealer, he died while experimenting with new products to ensure the quality of his goods.]

You have obtained Little Joey's Relic: Compound Crafting (Beginner 70%)

Some strange knowledge quickly entered Wayne's mind, allowing him to master some chemical knowledge that he wouldn't normally use, including many images of medicines being prepared in dark chemical workshops, as well as survival knowledge that is difficult for ordinary people to grasp.

This little Joey is really a studious child; at least his knowledge of chemistry far surpasses that of his peers.

At this moment, Wayne also noticed that the other person's pockets were bulging. Just as he was about to check, the dog Wick suddenly barked in one direction:

"Woof woof!"

Footsteps sounded nearby, and then a voice said loudly:

"Hey! White devil, this is our territory, we found it first!"

You have encountered a wandering goblin; they are quite territorial.

Wayne turned his head and saw two black men emerging from a dilapidated shack made of cardboard boxes on the street corner, staggering toward him.

The two men both looked to be in their twenties; one had a shaved head, while the other had a small braid.

Judging from the few short-sleeved T-shirts, long shirts, and bulging pairs of pants they were wearing, they were clearly homeless.

Only homeless people wear all their clothes on.

The bald man tilted his head and looked at Wayne, saying:

"You're new here? Why haven't we seen you before? Anyway, Joey is ours, we've been waiting all night."

As he spoke, he lowered his head, touched Joey's neck, and shrugged, saying:

"It's like fishing. Just when you're finally starting to catch fish, you run over and cast your line. That's not right... David, call the morgue."

The black homeless man with a braid immediately pulled out a cell phone with a cracked screen and dialed a number, while giving Wayne a vicious look.

Wayne then realized that at West University, these corpses were also resources, after all, they were good things that could be sold for money.

Just like copper cables, metal parts, and other things that can be sold for money.

He shrugged. After all, he had already acquired the skill, and he was too weak to fight over a corpse.

Just then, red and blue lights flashed, a sharp siren suddenly sounded, and a police car stopped on the side of the street.

Two fully armed police officers got out of the car and strode towards the two homeless black men, drawing their pistols as they went and shouting:

"Kneel down! Kneel down!"

A line of text immediately flashed across the panel in front of Wayne:

You have encountered corrupt enforcers of the Dark Court who prefer gold coins to justice.

Two homeless Black men raised their hands, their eyes flashing with fear and anger. The bald man involuntarily knelt down, his hands covering his head. The man with the pigtail shouted:

"I didn't do anything! You have no right to treat me like this!"

A tall, blond white police officer pointed a gun at him and yelled:

"Kneel down!"

Then, he smashed the butt of a rifle into Xiao Bian's forehead, instantly causing his head to bleed profusely. Xiao Bian was knocked to the ground and fell into a patch of filthy mud on the street.

He struggled to get up, but the tall, burly white policeman pressed his knee against his neck, straddled him, and completely subdued him.

The bald man was also pinned to the ground and handcuffed by another policeman.

"I can't breathe...cough cough...I can't breathe..." Xiao Bian struggled desperately, but couldn't even lift his head. Soon his face had turned blackish-purple.

"Damn it, David has asthma! He can't breathe! Sir!" the bald man shouted desperately, only to be met with a brutal blow to the head with the butt of a gun, his nose bone instantly broken, blood gushing out.

Throughout the entire ordeal, the two white police officers never even glanced at Wayne; instead, they immediately began to kill the two homeless black men.

Why is this happening?

Wayne frowned, suddenly noticing that one of the police officers kept glancing at the body's waist pocket.

There was a corner of a plastic bag peeking out from there.

Wayne suddenly realized.

The target was also Joey's body, or rather, what Joey had left behind!

Enhancer!

There are clearly things he doesn't know about this.

As for the two homeless men, they would only become extra income for the two policemen at this street corner at dawn.

It's like casually killing two chickens.

Nobody cares.

Thinking about this, Wayne felt a chill run down his spine.

He didn't believe the other party hadn't attacked him because of his skin color; it was clearly because his apparent weakness posed no threat whatsoever.

If those two homeless men were really killed, then he, as the witness, would definitely not survive either.

Thinking of this, Wayne took a deep breath and said in a firm voice:

"Sir, this is racism! Cough cough... Please spare my friends! They didn't do anything!"

At the same time, he took out his phone, pointed it at the two policemen, and quickly said:

"I'm live streaming, please release them immediately! Cough cough... I'm Bruce Wayne, I'm Bronjak from 'Golden Childhood'!"

The little dog, Wick, immediately ran up to him and barked wildly at the two policemen.

The two police officers initially thought Wayne was an ordinary homeless man, but after hearing this and seeing his cell phone, they couldn't help but exchange a glance.

The middle-aged policeman on the left, wearing goggles, carefully examined Wayne's dog, then looked at Wayne's face, frowned, and said to his colleague:

"Damn, he really does seem to be Jack."

Then the goggles-wearing policeman flashed a bright smile and said to Wayne:

"Sir, did these two people hurt you? We were all trying to protect you. There might be some misunderstanding... But no one can obstruct law enforcement. My colleague was almost attacked. I hope you can turn off the live stream."

Wayne shook his head and quickly spoke into his phone to the two of them:

"Ahem... They are all my friends. We just found this body... Ahem, now that the misunderstanding has been cleared up, please release them and pretend nothing happened."

"You two are both dedicated police officers. Thank you for your loyalty to your duties."

The goggles-wearing policeman smiled at Wayne and said:

"In that case, there's no problem. Please believe me, we just want to ensure your safety. My colleague Charlie just had a bad day. His pet cat is sick, which made him very sad, so he might have acted impulsively... Charlie."

The blond policeman Charlie also forced a smile and released his knee from the boy's neck.

Xiao Bian's lungs made a tearing sound like bellows as he gasped for breath, then curled up on the ground, gasping for air.

Wayne grabbed the little braid and, together with the bald man, helped the little braid up, and they ran quickly towards the other end of the street as if fleeing, with the little dog Wick following closely behind.

Once they turned into a small alley and were completely out of the sight of the two policemen, the bald man stopped, took out an asthma inhaler, put it on the braided boy, and said to Wayne:

"Brother, we owe you our lives!"

At the same time, a line of text appeared before Wayne's eyes:
