I'm building Gundams in America

Chapter 4 You are John Wick

Wayne immediately looked at the numbers on the panel. Before he knew it, his health had returned to 8 points, which was obviously due to the effects of the antibiotics and food.

What surprised him even more was that his stamina had returned to 0.3.

I checked my phone, it was 3:39. He had slept for more than four hours. With the food and medicine, no wonder he had recovered so much.

"John, if you don't fucking come out here soon, you're going to be roast chicken!"

The noise outside became even more violent, accompanied by the sound of liquid being poured and a strong smell of gasoline.

Wayne took a deep breath, tucked the dagger into his pocket, hilt facing outwards like a protruding spearhead, and shouted:

"Stop! Old John isn't here!"

Then he pulled back the tent flap and went outside.

It was still dark outside, but thanks to the neon lights of the tall buildings in the distance, everything was clearly visible.

Two Latinos, one tall and one short, were staring at him fiercely. The shorter one was stocky and somewhat chubby, while the taller one had a gold tooth, tattoos all over his arms, and bulging muscles. Despite the cold weather, he was only wearing a vest and shorts.

Side Quest: Old John's Debt. The deceased Old John left behind a debt belonging to the two-headed ogre tribe, and it seems these two-headed ogres have their eyes on you.

You have encountered two-headed ogre minions. Kill/defeat/drive them away to receive a reward.

Both men were taken aback when Wayne appeared, not expecting such a thin young man to emerge.

The tall, gold-toothed man, with a menacing expression, said:

"You're Old John's boyfriend? Hey, I'm not in the mood for your ass. Old John owes Big Daddy five thousand dollars for enhancement drugs. If he's not here, you'll be coming with us!"

As he spoke, he stuck out his tongue and licked his lips, looking Wayne up and down as if trying to figure out what Old John liked about him.

However, the skinny young man in front of him looked like he had been too high, and he was obviously following Old John for the same reason.

Wayne shook his head and said:

"Hey buddy, I'm just temporarily sharing a tent with old John. I don't know where he went. I only met him yesterday, so I think we should keep to ourselves."

As he spoke, he turned the protruding knife handle in his pocket and aimed it at Jin Ya.

The little dog beside them crouched down, baring its teeth and growling at the two of them.

The two of them immediately raised their hands instinctively and took a step back in unison.

The short, tank top-wearing man, with a square face and a roughly square build, smiled gently and quietly reached behind his back, saying:

"Friends, we mean no harm, we just want that bastard Old John to pay us back... wait..."

The man in the vest suddenly stared intently at Wayne's face.

"You are...you were the character in 'Golden Childhood'? The genius boy, Jack? You're Bruce Wayne?"

Wayne raised an eyebrow, instantly realizing that this must be the activation of his passive skill, "Fellow Traveler in a Foreign Land"!

He immediately released the dagger he had been using to fake a gun barrel from his pocket, spread his arms wide in a slightly exaggerated manner, and said with a smile:

"Ahem, yes, it's me. You recognize me?"

This is a classic pose from the character in "Golden Childhood".

"Oh my God! It really is you!" The man in the vest grinned with delight, pointing at Wayne and shouting to the gold-toothed man beside him, "Dude, it's BonJack! It really is BonJack!"

The gold-toothed man beside him also put his hands on his head, staring at Wayne with wide eyes and said:

"That was also my favorite show when I was a kid. Hey, remember the Thanksgiving episode? You took down those two racist white guys and said something at the end that made me come to America from Columbia."

Wayne nodded, his face turning serious. He assumed a boxing stance and threw two punches at the gold-toothed man and the man in the vest, saying as he did so:

"On this land, no one is above anyone else!"

The gold-toothed man and the man in the vest both obediently fell to the ground, then got up and shouted:

"Yes, yes, that's it! Oh my god, I've run into Jack... Wayne, how did you end up in a place like this?"

Wayne shrugged and gave a wry smile:

"Ahem... As you know, I've been divorced three times and suffered from severe depression."

Both Gold Tooth and Vest looked at each other with pity. Gold Tooth shook his head and said:

"Yes, those women, they wish they could suck our blood dry..."

"Since you don't know where Old John went either, then forget it. But you should be careful. Old John has a good relationship with the Voodoo Cult. They often perform some vicious rituals. You'd better stay away from him."

Wayne nodded. "Thanks, bro."

The man in the vest raised his fist and said:

"You better not lied to us. Big Daddy has a bad temper. If he finds out you lied to us, even if you're BonJack, there's nothing he can do. We can come back anytime. Goodbye."

Wayne bumped fists with the two men, nodded, and said:

"Thanks, brother, goodbye."

The two turned and left, talking excitedly as they walked, occasionally glancing back at Wayne as if to confirm that he really was Jack.

After the two had gone some distance, Wayne returned to the tent and collapsed heavily to the ground.

His body was still very weak. Although he was not about to collapse at any moment, he was still exhausted from acting and talking for so long.

However, his former child star status is indeed useful; he might be able to encounter fans who have been brainwashed by soap operas.

This place is uninhabitable. These two might soon find out that Old John is dead, and then I won't be able to explain myself.

[Brave adventurer, you fought valiantly and defeated two two-headed ogres, gaining 20 experience points. Your skill "Fellow Traveler" (passive 30%) has evolved.]

Wayne looked at the panel.

The experience points have become 46/100, and the progress of the passive skill "Fellow Traveler" has become 40%.

He couldn't help but widen his eyes.

Is this okay?

In other words, does a theatrical, feigned defeat count as a defeat?

Come to think of it, this is a brutal and terrifying demonic dungeon in the system's eyes. How could a real two-headed ogre possibly cooperate with adventurers in putting on an act?

That's a real knockout!

Wayne felt a flash of inspiration, as if he had suddenly realized something.

Since the system is completely misaligned, many complex tasks and even dungeons may be much simpler to complete than imagined, and the rewards may not be difficult to claim either.

The prerequisite is that he has to walk out of this street.

"Woof woof..." Seemingly sensing Wayne's confused thoughts, the puppy didn't know how to comfort him and could only keep rubbing against his leg.

Wayne crouched down, petted the dog's head, and looked into the puppy's eyes, saying:

"Little guy, old John is dead. From now on, you'll be my dog, and your name will be... John Wick."

After tidying up the necessary items in the tent, Wayne set it on fire.

The two men had poured a lot of gasoline on the tent, and flames immediately shot into the sky.

Using the firelight, Wayne limped out of the alley with his dog and onto the main street.

Only then did he realize that there were actually more than a dozen tattered tents pitched on the street, and he wasn't the only one.

Next to some tents, there were several men striking strange poses, some even folding their bodies to stand, either motionless or repeatedly performing a certain action.

A scene of outstanding people and beautiful scenery.

Wayne limped forward and quickly crossed the street, arriving at another main road.

A curled-up human figure lay on the side of the street.

You've discovered a goblin corpse. On this cold, rainy night, there might be an unexpected reward.
