Evil Red Dragon
Chapter 3 Something's Wrong
"Hiccup~~~~"
Alecto rose contentedly to give up his seat, but he devoured the fattest and most magical of the organs.
His heart, liver, lungs... all went into his stomach, leaving only coarse, thick skin, muscles, and bones.
Alecto said lazily, "The rest are yours."
After saying that, he dragged his round belly to a warm, flat stone platform near the lava, lay down, and prepared to watch the show with a bored expression.
He wanted to see if these two red dragon girls would start fighting.
But what's going on with Cinsera? The more I look at her, the more beautiful she seems. Has her charm increased after awakening her magical talent?
After much deliberation, Alecto suddenly realized that Oliveira was also quite a sight to behold!
Impossible! Absolutely impossible!
He absolutely could not be acting so strangely!
Could it be that the red dragon's perverse aesthetic sense is gradually influencing him? Otherwise, how could he find every dragon handsome?
But he was just born! This should have happened after he grew up, so why is it happening now?
Moreover, he ate blood food without the slightest resistance or hesitation, as if it were the natural thing to do...
Just then, the two red dragon girls made a move.
Cinsera staggered toward the wreckage. The injuries were nothing to her; she could recover in seven or eight days, but the pain was real.
Every step she took aggravated her wound, causing her so much pain that she wanted to lie down and just stay there and sleep.
But the hunger pangs in her stomach reminded her that her body desperately needed food to heal her injuries and magic to stabilize her newly awakened talent.
Alector's lazy demeanor infuriated her.
Oliveira also moved; she was closer to the mammoth than Cinsera, and was completely unharmed and in perfect condition.
Seeing Cinsera weakened, the survival principles ingrained in their heritage overwhelmed everything.
She pounced on the mammoth's soft spot first, opened its mouth, and frantically tore off a large chunk of its belly flesh.
She had no intention of sharing whatsoever; she only wanted to devour as much of the delicious food as possible before Cinsella got close.
Alecto had already eaten most of the good parts, and there wasn't much good meat left, so she didn't want to gnaw on the tough, old skin.
Although you can eat your fill, why not eat good meat when you can eat good meat?
"That's mine! Oliveira, how dare you do this, you despicable thief!"
Cinsera was both shocked and furious; she could not tolerate her cowardly sister stealing her food!
She endured the excruciating pain and sprinted forward, her target Oliveira.
Oliveira shrank back in surprise at Cinsella's roar, but the food in her mouth gave her unprecedented courage.
She suddenly raised her head, let out a threatening growl, and waved her front paws, trying to force Cinsera back.
She would no longer back down and was determined to protect the spoils she had seized first.
The two baby dragons instantly began wrestling together beside the mammoth's carcass.
Without Alecto's overwhelming power, Cinsera was also powerless to cast spells; their battle at this moment was utterly primal.
Claw strikes, bites, tail whips, charges...
Each attack was accompanied by a roar and the ear-piercing sound of scales tearing apart.
Cinsela's shoulder wound reopened under the intense pulling, splattering blood and causing her to move in a distorted manner, greatly reducing her strength.
Oliveira, taking advantage of her excellent condition, used Cinsera's wound as a breakthrough point and continued to attack it.
"Aww!"
Cinsera was scratched hard on her wound by Oliveira's claw, and she curled up in pain. Oliveira took the opportunity to knock her to the ground and stomped on her.
"Didn't expect that, Cinsera? You can't even beat me right now. Just wait for me to finish eating. You're only fit to eat my leftovers, hahaha..."
After mocking Cinsera, Oliveira was smug and pounced on the wreckage again, devouring it greedily.
Cinsera could only watch helplessly, curled up on the ground, silently cursing Alecto in her heart:
That wretched Alecto! If it weren't for you, I wouldn't be in this state, unable to even afford food. Oliveira is a piece of trash too…
Alecto lay on the stone platform, watching the fight between the sisters with great interest.
Oliveira's resistance and ruthlessness surprised him slightly. It seemed that there were indeed no cowards in the blood of the Red Dragon, only those who knew how to lie low and assess the situation.
Seeing the two wounded yet still fiercely tearing at each other, Alekto became inexplicably agitated.
The eerie sheen on their scales, their bodies heaving violently from the battle, their screams of pain and rage as they were wounded…
All of this did not make him uncomfortable; on the contrary, it was like dry tinder thrown into a spark, igniting a primal impulse hidden deep in his blood.
"Truly... vibrant and sensual..."
Alecto licked his fangs, feeling a dryness in his throat.
He shook his head violently, trying to dispel the eerie feeling, but his gaze was fixed on the two wrestling female dragons as if drawn by a magnet, especially on the graceful Cinsera...
The primal desires within the red dragon's bloodline are assaulting his human reason.
"Damn it, something's not right..."
He shook his head violently, trying to dispel the irritating feeling: "I was just born! Isn't this heat cycle coming a little too early?"
But soon, Oliveira delivered a brutal headbutt, knocking the swaying Cinsella to the ground and securing the victory.
He couldn't bear to look at Cinsella's pitiful expression.
"This is really... troublesome."
Alecto cursed inwardly.
This pity for the loser is so foreign, so incompatible with the coldness that runs deep in their blood.
He scratched at the rock beneath him in frustration, making a harsh scraping sound.
He told himself that it was only because Cinsera's awakened talent might be useful to him in the future, or... because Cinsera's current appearance did indeed have a strange attraction that conformed to the red dragon's twisted aesthetics, a kind of ravaged beauty.
Whatever the reason, he moved.
Cinsera collapsed to the ground, her eyes blazing with fury as she watched Alecto approach.
She thought that after the victor Oliveira left, Alecto would personally give her a final humiliation, and she struggled to get up, even though she knew it was futile.
Surprisingly, Alector did not attack her.
"It's really ugly."
Alecto scrutinized Cinsera's disheveled state up close, muttered something, and then turned the curled-up Cinsera over.
Cinsera screamed in pain.
"Shut up, you idiot."
Alecto growled, but his movements became much gentler.
He bent his neck, opened his mouth, and bit Cinsella's nape.
Amidst Cinsera's struggles and Alecto's equally intense inner roar of "What the hell am I doing?", he picked Cinsera up like a disobedient kitten.
"Ugh... Let... Let me go! You bastard!"
Cinsela was both ashamed and angry, kicking her limbs in vain.
Alecto ignored her protests and walked a few steps to the wreckage.
Startled, Oliveira, still clutching the piece of meat, retreated a considerable distance to the side.
Alecto placed Cinsera with a thud on the ground near the remaining soft flesh of the mammoth's belly.
The movements weren't exactly gentle, but at least they prevented her from getting further injured.
"Eat," Alecto ordered succinctly.
Cinsera was in pain and hungry. Looking at the food so close at hand, she subconsciously stuck out her tongue and licked the tip of her nose.
But she didn't pounce on him immediately; she just stared at Alecto, puzzled.
"What are you trying to do now?! I will not give in!"
She didn't understand why Alecto had suddenly changed his attitude.
Is this a new form of torture? Are we waiting for her to lower her guard before delivering the fatal blow?
Alecto became even more irritated by her gaze.
He was torn between his inner thoughts and his own: human reason screamed that this was absurd! But the red dragon's instincts gave rise to a satisfied groan.
"What are you looking at!"
Enraged, Alecto tore off a large chunk of flesh and roughly smeared it on Cinsella's face.
This piece of meat was originally the part closest to Oliveira and of relatively good quality.
Oliveira watched from the sidelines, feeling a pang of heartache, but dared not utter a sound.
"eat!"
He commanded again, "Don't make me say it a third time."
The pungent smell of blood filled my nostrils, and the allure of the meat was overwhelming.
Cinsera let out a humiliating groan, opened her mouth and began to bite into the piece of flesh, as if she wanted to chew up and swallow all her grievances.
The flesh and blood slid down her esophagus, bringing a sense of satisfaction, but she stared intently at the ground, chewing and swallowing mechanically.
Looking at Cinsella, Alector felt a strange sense of satisfaction well up inside him, temporarily overcoming his irritation.
Without further thought, he deftly tore off another piece of meat and threw it over.
This time, Cinsera didn't hesitate much, quickly snatched the piece of meat, and continued to devour it.
Oliveira quietly ate the parts she could grab.
She dared not approach Alecto and Cinsella, much less touch the food her brother had clearly allocated to Cinsella.
She only occasionally looked up, glancing quickly at the strange scene:
Alecto, who had just suppressed Cinsera, was now staying by her side, feeding her...
This was more unsettling and incomprehensible to Oliveira than mere violence, leaving the dragon completely baffled.
She could only bury her head even lower, her heart filled with fear at Alecto's capricious tyranny and his strange kindness at this moment.
"Eat slowly, you idiot."
Alecto's tail swept impatiently across the ground, sending sparks flying.
Cinsela stopped abruptly: "What? Brother, have you changed your mind and want to withdraw your mercy?"
"Hmph." Alekto looked away, no longer looking at her, and instead turned his gaze to the depths of the lair where the Dragon Mother Revana had disappeared.
Revana's parting words echoed in his mind, and combined with Cinsera's awakening, he only now belatedly realized what was happening.
Dragon hatchlings with special talents will grow much faster than ordinary hatchlings, which means that the time when the dragon mother will expel them from the nest may be much earlier!
Take him, for example. Six years? No, it might not even be six years!
"That damn five-colored dragon..."
"Hiss~"
Just then, the wound on Cinsera's shoulder blade reopened, and thin lines of blood meandered down the gaps in the scales.
Alexo's gaze returned, and he couldn't help but ask, "Why aren't you done yet? Are you really the Red Dragon, Cinsera?"
As he spoke, he subconsciously leaned closer to Cinsella.
Cinsera was so frightened that her scales stood on end, thinking that Alecto was about to harm her again.
She closed her eyes in despair, tensing her body to brace for excruciating pain.
But the expected bite did not come; instead, a warm touch covered her wound.
Cinsela opened her eyes in astonishment, the sight leaving her mind blank.
Alector was actually... licking her wound!
That tongue with tiny barbs was not gentle; each lick brought a dull pain.
But as the ambergris seeped into the wound, the excruciating pain miraculously subsided, and the bleeding gradually stopped.
"What...what are you doing!"
Cinsela was completely stunned, her mind a jumbled mess, utterly unable to comprehend the absurd scene before her.
What is this? A new form of humiliation?
"As you can see, I've stopped the bleeding. If you don't need it, get out of here."
"But...the legacy says this can only be made by metal dragons..."
"Shut up! One more word and I'll tear you apart!"
After giving Cinsella a bluffing warning, Alecto fled back to the stone platform as if escaping.
But a raging storm was brewing within him, and he was cursing himself madly:
"Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! What the hell am I doing?!"
"How could I possibly be with a dragon... especially one that's my own sister from the same nest..."
The thought made him feel intensely nauseous and utterly absurd.
But the instincts of his bloodline were screaming wildly, displaying the luster of Sinther's scales, his agility in battle, his powerful talent... all of which exuded a primal and powerful attraction. Was this damn dragon hormone set to be at full capacity from the factory?
"But what's the point?! The most important thing now is to survive. Only by surviving can we have everything."
He struggled to suppress his agitation: "What bullshit instincts, what damn feelings of liking, they all have to give way to me in the face of death!"
He forced himself to close his eyes in an attempt to quickly fall asleep.
The mammoth's flesh and blood inside his belly began to churn, and his body sent signals urging him to enter a deep sleep to digest and grow.
A heavy drowsiness washed over him like a tide, quickly overwhelming his consciousness.
This time he did not resist and let himself drift off to sleep.
On the other side, Cinther stood frozen in place, a thin membrane beginning to form around the edges of her wound—the initial manifestation of the red dragon's powerful self-healing ability.
She glanced at the silent figure on the stone platform in the distance, her expression complex.
Having its eggshell stolen, being defeated, being pinned to the ground and threatened, being dragged by the neck in public... each of these incidents was enough to leave an indelible mark on the proud red dragon, brewing a hundredfold revenge in the future.
But why would he do that?
If he really wanted to deal with her, wouldn't it be more in line with the cruel nature of a red dragon to take all the food while she was injured and watch her struggle weakly until she died?
What she couldn't understand the most was licking... This was definitely not something the Red Dragon Society would do!
At least, it's not something the ruthless five-colored dragons from her inherited memories would do.
This is more like... the weak behavior of a metal dragon or some other strange creature.
But ironically, the consequences of this weakness are very real.
She received food, which replenished her energy, and her wounds healed quickly, avoiding the risk of further weakness or even death due to injury and hunger.
In this cruel lair, at least for a moment, Alecto seemed... not to want her to die?
Cinsela shook her head violently, banishing the absurd thought.
Her gaze fell on Oliveira, who was still engrossed in eating beside her. Oliveira's betrayal and opportunism reignited her anger.
I may not be able to beat Alecto, but surely I can beat you? Oliveira, you're dead!
After eating, a strong sense of fatigue and the need to recover from injuries surged up.
Cinsera, dragging her injured body, chose a spot where she could observe Alecto's sleeping state while keeping an eye on Oliveira, and curled up.
In the last moments before drifting off to sleep, her gaze once again involuntarily fell upon Alexios.
The sleeping baby dragon seems to have begun to grow rapidly again.
