Evil Red Dragon

Chapter 4 Hunting

Alecto had just woken up when he saw Cynthia beating Oliveira.

In the center of the cave, Cinsera was binding Oliveira tightly to the ground with rock chains, and the latter struggled in vain, her scales flying off.

Cinsera's body has fully recovered, and each attack is exceptionally brutal and merciless.

The claws whistled as they slashed at Oliveira, occasionally kicking her.

Oliveira kept groaning and tried to push herself up with her hind legs, but to no avail.

"You thief who stole food! You cowardly traitor! Now you know what pain is?!"

Cincera's dragon-like mouth parted, and she said in a light, airy tone:

"Where did you get the nerve to steal my food?! Huh?! Try moving again and see what happens!"

Oliveira desperately turned her head to avoid it, pleading indistinctly, "No... Cinsera... it's Alecto... he..."

"Shut up! You piece of trash! You dare to hide?!"

Cinsera ignored all explanations and raised her right paw high and then brought it down again.

Snapped!

"Hide! I told you to hide!"

"Awooo~ Awooo~ Awooo~"

Oliveira screamed as she was beaten.

Stop.

Cinsera froze abruptly, her claws hovering in mid-air. She turned sharply to meet Alecto's gaze, which held no warmth whatsoever.

The absurd warmth of yesterday seems to have never existed.

Alector's sudden increase in size startled her.

How did this guy grow so much bigger after just one night's sleep?! He's practically a moving little hill! Can I really handle him?

Oliveira, as if grasping at a straw, took advantage of Cinsella's distraction and desperately pleaded with Alecto for help:

"Brother, save me! Cinsera wants to kill me!"

Cinsela said, her neck stiff:

"Alecto, this is none of your business. She betrayed me and stole my food! She has to pay the price!"

Alecto walked between the two female dragons.

He completely ignored Cinsella's accusations:

"Did I say stop? Or do you think you can beat me and want to challenge me again now?"

Cincel Ramen felt a chill run down its spine when it saw Alecto, who was as imposing as a mountain, and instinctively took a half-step back.

"I……"

Cinsela wanted to retort, but the words stuck in her throat and she ultimately didn't dare to spit them out.

She realized that what Alecto cared about was not who was right or wrong, but that her behavior itself was an offense to Alecto's position.

This is the most unforgivable thing.

Cinsera let out a furious growl, but ultimately withdrew the chains.

Oliveira, as if granted a pardon, scrambled to Alec's back, clung tightly to his leg, and said rather obsequiously:

"My older brother is the best~~~"

She's really made enemies with Cinsera now; Cinsera really wanted to break all six of her limbs just now.

It's alright now, but what about later? Alecto won't be around all the time. What if Cinsera tries something behind our backs?

In order to save her life, she did not hesitate to seek refuge with Alecto, hoping to take advantage of his power.

As for whether Alector will protect her, hehehe... she found some dragon gossip in the inheritance.

There once was an extremely mad and infamous male red dragon who, upon reaching adulthood, developed a twisted possessiveness toward his own bloodline.

He was obsessed with his mother and his littermates, and when he was strong enough to challenge Daenerys Targaryen, he directly asked her for a teaching position.

After being rejected, he severely injured Daenerys Targaryen, forcing her to become his consort, and did the same to his sisters.

What's even more infuriating is that after his offspring were born, this mad dragon extended his clutches to his descendants, starting a new cycle.

Although the Red Dragon doesn't object to inbreeding with Fan Yan, since their perfect genes wouldn't result in deformities, it doesn't condone it, let alone such bizarre behavior.

Because of this incident, the red dragon was ridiculed by the metal dragon for hundreds of years.

The mad dragon's atrocities continued for generations, eventually provoking the wrath of the people. He was then surrounded and killed by his own unbearable offspring, who tore him to pieces.

Oliveira believes that Alecto is such a dragon! Otherwise, why would he, a red dragon, lick Cinsera?

Once she successfully seduced Cynthia, she would no longer be afraid of her.

and……

Olivera gazed at Alecto's massive yet agile figure with a dreamy look in her eyes.

Although his neck is a bit short, Alecto's large size is something she really likes. She imagines that Alecto's size will be comparable to that of an elderly dragon when he grows up.

She might even be as big as the Great Dragon, after all, Alecto is already close to eight meters long, while she is only barely three meters long...

Following Alecto would increase her chances of survival.

She couldn't imagine any red dragon that could live to adulthood if Alecto didn't.

Moreover, the offspring she and Alecto had would certainly be even more powerful...

Alector glanced at the dazed Oliveira, ignored her, and asked Cinsera:

"Where is Mother? Did she go hunting?"

Cinsella retorted angrily, "You're dreaming! She's still asleep, and we dare not wake her."

Cinsela isn't stupid; disturbing her? That would be suicidal.

"snort……"

Alecto exhaled two puffs of white vapor from his nostrils.

Hoping that Daenerys would wake up and feed them is obviously unrealistic, and there's no time to spare; they need food now!

Are you all hungry?

Cinsera and Oliveira both nodded subconsciously.

That's how baby dragons are; they eat and then sleep, and when they wake up they want to eat again, so their need for food is enormous.

"There's no hope of relying on Mom. Are you going to starve, eat dirt, or come out with me to find food?"

There is no need to choose in this question.

The need for food trumped everything, and the red dragons' pride wouldn't allow them to eat dirt.

With their digestive abilities, they can eat anything, let alone dirt. But the red dragon is like that; it would rather starve to death than eat dirt.

A hint of resentment flashed in Cinsera's eyes. She could hunt herself, but after assessing Alector, she had to admit it.

Following Alecto is now the most likely option to obtain a large amount of food.

Oliveira nodded vigorously, willing to follow anyone as long as she could stay away from Cinsella's revenge and fill her stomach.

"Keep up."

Alecto stopped talking and turned towards the exit first.

Oliveira followed closely behind him, just like a loyal dog.

After hesitating for a moment, Cinsera followed.

Led by Alekto, the three fledglings, each with a vastly different size, left their nest and ventured into the endless mountains, a place fraught with danger yet teeming with prey.

A cool breeze blew in from the entrance of the passage, carrying the scents of forest and earth.

Alecto's vertical pupils contracted and expanded in the light, constantly scanning the unfamiliar woodland below.

This was the first time he had ever truly seen the outside world since he was born.

An endless sponge of lush green forest stretches to the horizon, cut by undulating mountains.

The distant snow-capped peaks are faintly visible in the clouds and mist, and the canopies of ancient trees intertwine to form an endless green dome.

Flocks of kingfishers took flight from the treetops, soaring across the blue sky with their clear calls.

Magnificent, primitive, and vibrant, yet it also harbors hidden dangers.

Their nest is located in the upper middle part of a huge volcano, below which lies a vast and boundless primeval forest.

"This is the outside world..."

Alecto took a deep breath, and a mixture of pheromones flooded his nasal cavity.

It has all kinds of birds and beasts, it's practically a hunting ground specially provided for red dragons.

But he still had to be careful of those high-level magical beasts, after all, he still couldn't beat them... well, he really didn't know what level of magical beast he was.

A normal red dragon hatchling is born as a level 2 magical beast. With its noble magic resistance and powerful body, it is hard to beat any creature of the same level. After mastering fire breath, it can deal devastating blows to creatures without fire resistance.

The breath of the red hatchling is just as deadly as that of the adult red dragon. Although the range and duration of the breath are much smaller, it can still instantly vaporize steel and melt rocks, making it the ultimate means of purifying everything.

The outside world classifies the red hatchling dragon, which is normally capable of breathing dragon breath, as a level three magical beast.

But that's normal. Alector isn't normal!

Alecto is now eight meters tall and has just mastered fire breath, but he came out before he could even test it.

His dragon scales all over his body had become exceptionally hard, providing considerable physical and magical protection, unlike the scales a fledgling dragon should have.

But he is still like a fledgling dragon, unable to fly...

This has nothing to do with the development of dragon wings. Red dragons, or rather all dragons, do not actually fly entirely with wings; they fly with magic.

In other words, without flight magic similar to levitation, they can only glide briefly using their wings.

Dragons that can fly and those that cannot are so different they seem like two different creatures.

His eight-meter length endowed him with strength and defense far exceeding that of his kind, but flight had become his biggest weakness at this moment.

He cannot look down from the air and control everything.

Alecto comprehensively assessed his own abilities.

With his physical strength, he should be able to withstand a level four attack without any problem; anything higher would require him to consider running away.

"To be on the safe side, run away if you encounter a level 5 magical beast..."

Oliveira emerged from beneath him, her little head darting nervously back and forth:

"Alecto, what are you muttering about? Is there danger? You have to protect me!"

Leaving the safety of her nest for the first time and facing such a vast and unfamiliar world, she, as a fledgling dragon, felt a little nervous.

She couldn't help but move closer to Alexo, nuzzling her slender neck against his leg in a flattering manner, and lightly licking her nose with her pink tongue, trying to attract his attention.

Cinsera, lagging behind, said disdainfully:

"Olivera, you're disgusting! You're a disgrace to the Red Dragons every single moment. What can you do besides wag your tail and beg for mercy?"

Oliveira immediately shrank back, hiding on the other side of Alecto, glaring at Cinsella, angry but not daring to speak out, secretly thinking:

Just you wait, Cinsera. Once I've won over Alecto, you're dead. I'll break all six of your limbs, no, I'll even break your tail...

"Be quiet."

Alecto instantly quelled the tension between the two sisters.

He had no time to pay attention to their little tricks.

"Target lone or small groups of creatures. Avoid areas with powerful magical beasts. If you encounter something you feel you can't defeat, retreat immediately."

As he spoke, he confirmed again:

"So you can all breathe air now, huh?"

Oliveira immediately replied, "Yes, yes, brother, would you like to see me perform?"

Alector ignored Oliveira's boastful suggestion:

"Save your energy, you idiot. Breathing isn't a performance."

Cinsella scoffed from the side, "You call that breath? It wouldn't even cook a rabbit properly."

What do you mean? Did they insult each other when they fought?

That's true, they don't seem like the type to go easy on you.

Regardless, as long as they know how, they're at least somewhat lethal.

Alecto looked back toward the edge of the forest:

"Stay close, we'll start from the edge. Cinsera, be on guard; your magical perception should be better than ours."

Cinsella snorted, which was taken as tacit agreement.

Alecto spread his wings and slid down the hillside at high speed, with Oliveira and Cinsera close behind.

He chose a path on the side of the volcano that had been clearly trampled by animals, which led down to the edge of the forest.

The black rock formed by the cooling lava was gradually replaced by soil covered with moss and low shrubs.

The three-headed fledgling dragon slipped silently into this ancient forest like a ghost.

The scent of the forest wafted over me: decaying leaves, damp moss, and... the aromas of countless creatures.

Their bloodline is surging; this is their hunting ground!

Giant ferns stretched out their broad leaves at my feet, and ancient tree vines with intertwined roots hung down like curtains.

Alecto stepped onto the soft, decaying leaf bed, making soft, popping sounds.

Olivera carefully followed in his footprints, trying to make as little noise as possible.

Cinsera kept her distance, cautiously observing her surroundings.

After going deeper, Cinsera suddenly jumped out: "This way."

Alecto and Oliveira quickly followed.

The woodland ahead suddenly opened up, and in a small clearing, a group of creatures resembling wild boars were rolling and playing in the mud.

They are robust, with a shoulder height approaching that of an adult human, covered in dark brown mane like steel needles, and two sharp, upward-curving fangs that gleam with a cold light.

Their robust limbs and thick leather armor indicate that they are no ordinary creatures.

Steel-bristled Boar, a level 2 magical beast, lives in groups, has thick hide and flesh, and possesses astonishing charging power; its tusks can easily tear through ordinary iron armor.

Quantity: Twelve adult boars! Several wild boar piglets!

"Steel-bristled wild boar!"

Cinsella was extremely excited.

This was their first prey after leaving their nest; there were quite a few, and they were able to handle them.

Oliveira's eyes widened, and she immediately assumed an attack stance: "Go?"

Cinsera had already assumed an attack stance, and tiny red lights began to gather in her mouth.

Facing a group in an open space is her opportunity to leverage her strengths.

Alecto didn't have time to answer Oliveira.

The moment he saw the wild boar herd, he unleashed a terrifying speed, like a red lightning bolt, and fiercely struck the wild boar herd!

For ordinary young dragons, twelve steel-bristled boars are a very troublesome target. Their tusks can pierce through the young dragons' tender scales, and when they work together, the young dragons really can't deal with them.

Alecto also found it very difficult to deal with them, since if even one of them escaped, he might not have enough to eat.

A piercing scream suddenly rang out!

The two outermost steel-bristled wild boars didn't even have time to react before being knocked off the ground by Alector. They tumbled and crashed into the depths of the mud, splashing up large amounts of mud. They struggled and cried out in agony, clearly not going to survive.

The entire wild boar herd instantly erupted into chaos!

The startled wild boars squealed and charged and fled in all directions, turning the once peaceful mud pit into chaos.

The imposing steel-bristled boar leader attempted to ram Alecto with his tusks to buy time for his offspring to escape.

Alecto locked his gaze on the target and slapped it hard.

laugh!

The steel-bristled wild boar leader's hard skull shattered instantly, red and white substances mixed with mud splattering everywhere, and he collapsed to the ground without even uttering a sound.

"roar--!"

Alecto let out a terrifying roar, drawing the hatred of most of the steel-bristled boars.

The sharp fangs struck his scales, but only left a few barely perceptible white marks, causing no real damage whatsoever.

Alecto was like a tiger among sheep, rampaging through the chaotic herd of wild boars.

With each swing of his claws, he easily tore through the thick fur of the wild boar; with each sweep of his tail, he stirred up a storm of blood and gore; and his dragon mouth, filled with sharp teeth, was a deadly weapon.

With a single bite, it can crush the neck bone of a robust adult wild boar!

His scales were splattered with blood, making him look like a blood-soaked demon in the dark forest clearing.

"You two, don't let the rest escape!"

"knew!"

Just as Alector drew all the boar guards' fire, Cinsera made her move.

Her dragon snout opened and closed rapidly, sending out two lava projectiles that struck the fleeing steel-bristled boar with pinpoint accuracy.

The scorching magma burst and splashed instantly, and the terrifying heat melted their tough fur in an instant.

The steel-bristled boar let out a heart-wrenching scream, its body bursting into flames as it rolled and charged wildly, covered in deadly lava, spreading the chaos further among its terrified companions.

"Well done!"

Alecto roared in the midst of his busy work, and at the same time his right claw slammed down like a pile driver!

Boom!

A muffled thud, like a boulder falling to the ground.

The steel-bristled boar was slammed onto the top of its head by Alecto, its entire skull deformed and collapsed, instantly pressed firmly into the humus. Its limbs twitched a few times and then remained still.

Having lost their leader and with their formation completely shattered by Alector's absolute power and Cinsera's magic, the remaining boars utterly collapsed.

They abandoned their companions and fled desperately into the depths of the dense forest.

Oliveira was cunning and only targeted piglets to kill, ignoring the adult steel-bristled boars that were running around, leaving Cinsella to handle them.

The battle ended quickly.

Of the twelve adult steel-bristled wild boars, eleven were left behind, leaving a total of thirty-three wild boar piglets.

Alecto shook the blood off his claws and walked over to the pile of prey.

He first looked at Cinsella: "The two charred ones are yours, the rest are mine."

He glanced at Oliveira again:

"As for you, Oliveira, you've disappointed me greatly. Don't think I don't know what you're up to!"

"Because you were lazy and let one escape, you only get the thirteen wild boar piglets you killed, not a single one more!"

Cinsera was fairly satisfied with the allocation; she had contributed second only to Alecto, and the two portions were enough to barely fill her stomach.

She immediately went to her spoils.

Oliveira could hardly believe her ears. She had only slacked off a little, yet she only received thirteen wild boar piglets!?

That little bit of food isn't even enough to fill a tooth gap!

She's a red dragon! The head of the five-colored dragons! Not some herbivorous dragon that eats vegetables!

She looked at the mountain of bristle wild boars piled up at Alecto's feet, then at her own pitiful thirteen still-weaned wild boar piglets, and felt like crying.

Not being able to eat means weakness, and weakness means even less status in the lair; Cinsera could tear her apart at any moment!

"My dearest, most kind elder brother!"

Oliveira completely ignored Cynthia's gloating gaze and pounced on Alecto.

She pressed her soft neck tightly against Alecto's calf, rubbing against it with all her might, the fine scales rubbing together making a soft rustling sound.

"This isn't fair, brother!"

She tried her best to make herself look incredibly pitiful:

"That wild boar was too cunning. I couldn't stop it. It really wasn't intentional. Look how small and weak I am..."

She shrank back, looking even smaller and more helpless: "Thirteen little piglets, I'll starve to death..."

As she spoke, she stuck out her pink tongue and gently licked the back of Alecto's paw.

"Please, my generous and powerful elder brother..."

"For the sake of being your most loyal and obedient sister... give me one, just one adult wild boar! I will always remember your kindness! From now on, I will do whatever you say!"

As she spoke, she kept glancing at Alecto out of the corner of her eye to see his reaction.

Cinsera, standing nearby, could no longer hold back:

"Ha! Oliveira, you've really opened my eyes! Alex, don't be fooled by this good-for-nothing. She deserves to pay for her incompetence!"

Oliveira froze, her heart bleeding with hatred, but at this moment she dared not refute Cinsella at all, she just pressed herself even closer, letting out a low whimper.

Alecto felt an untimely restlessness surging within him again.

Damn it... he needs food, not this junk.

Alecto's dragon eyes narrowed slightly. He raised his front paw, which was being held by Oliveira, and lifted Oliveira's chin, forcing her to raise her head completely and meet his gaze.

Oliveira's heart skipped a beat, her vertical pupils filled with... anticipation?

"Alright, Cinsera."

Alector first silenced Cinsera, who was fanning the flames from the side, before turning his attention back to Oliveira:

"Your flattering mouth... is slightly more useful than your fighting claws."

He paused for a moment, and that damned instinct made him feel that the touch... was surprisingly nice.

"Olivera, you always do whatever I say... So what if I ask you to leave the lair now?"

Oliveira's fawning expression froze instantly:

"Leave the lair? No, please! It's too dangerous outside, I'll die!"

Leaving the sheltered nest to survive alone in the perilous endless mountains?

This is tantamount to a death sentence for a fledgling dragon that has only recently been born.

She had no doubt that Cinsella would chase after her and beat her half to death.

Alecto's dragon claws still held her chin, coldly scrutinizing her reaction.

There was only the fear of survival inside.

"No... Alecto... I was wrong... I was really wrong! I'll never be lazy again! Please give me another chance! I'll do anything! I'll give it my all from now on! Don't send me away!"

Alecto silently released his grip:

"Remember your promise, Oliveira."

"If you dare to hesitate like you did today again during the next hunt, or do anything that displeases me..."

He paused deliberately, his gaze sweeping over Oliveira's pale face, then glancing at Cinsera, who was watching him intently, eager to pounce.

"Then Cinsera would be happy to teach you what the true rules of survival are. Or you can go into the forest and prove you can survive."

Oliveira, as if granted a pardon, went limp and collapsed at Alecto's feet, her long, thin tail tightly wrapped around Alecto's tail.

"Thank you, elder brother. I swear I won't let you down next time!"

Alecto snorted, shook off her entwined tail, and ignored her groveling, begging posture.

He turned to his mountain of food.

"Now everyone be quiet and eat!"

He no longer mentioned giving Oliveira extra food.

Punishment is punishment; hunger is the lesson she deserved.
