Evil Red Dragon

Chapter 2 Establishing Status

Alector's consciousness continued to sink into the bottomless vortex of dreams.

All around was pitch black, with only memories of the past shimmering like glass bubbles.

Between brief moments of lucidity and long periods of silence, he felt himself being dragged into a torrent of information.

Countless fragments of memories and knowledge surged and collided in Alecto's mind.

In the abyss of consciousness, time loses its measure, leaving only an endless erosion.

A chaotic scene, shattered emotions, and a storm of fragmented memories relentlessly swept over and battered him.

A furious rage, capable of burning the heavens and boiling the seas, suddenly surged into the sky.

That was the humiliation of having one's hard work plagiarized and one's achievements despised, a humiliation that burned one's insides but had to be suppressed.

It is the pure, savage rage that arises when the red dragon's territory is invaded and its treasure is coveted; it is a raging fury that surges from the tailbone to the top of the head, threatening to burn the entire world to ashes.

Rage coalesced into a tornado, burning away all of Alecto's remaining sanity. He wanted to roar, to tear apart, to reduce himself and everything around him to ashes.

Joy, sadness, fear, longing... these are two completely different emotions and memories that constantly collide, overlap, and contaminate each other.

One second it's the bittersweet feeling of a human's budding emotions, the next it transforms into a red dragon's primal possessiveness toward a powerful mate.

Just as I felt the warmth and love of my family, it was instantly replaced by the cruel survival rules passed down through generations.

Every switch is a brutal tear, and every overlap is a cognitive disaster.

He was like a monster with two completely different skins sewn on, each scale screaming and repelling the other.

Human reason and the red dragon's arrogance slowly merged amidst endless tearing.

A strange soul was born from this, and he no longer asked who I was.

He is both a human and a dragon.

"What a long dream."

Alecto slowly awoke, propped himself up, and stretched his limbs and wings, his joints cracking in a series of sounds.

The benefits of consuming large quantities of eggshells were quite obvious; his physique grew even larger, comparable to that of an adult bull.

Judging from his appearance alone, he doesn't look like a newly born dragon at all; it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that he's a young dragon about to leave the nest.

But the price was that he...

I'm hungry again...

Alecto muttered as he looked around for Daenerys Targaryen, only to find Cynthia and Oliveira still fast asleep.

What puzzled the dragon even more was that Cinsera was... glowing?

His eye twitched. Could someone tell him what this Cinsera, who looked like a big red lantern, was all about?!

Cinsera was curled up, her body emitting a red glow that flickered with her breath.

He then turned his head sharply to check on Oliveira on the other side. The younger sister was sleeping normally, with no signs of glowing. However, she looked a little bigger than before, like a small pony.

"hiss……"

Alecto inhaled a breath of hot, sulfurous air, as knowledge of the Dragon Legacy surged through his mind.

The first slumber of a fledgling is to digest the energy in the eggshell, promote growth and development, and receive inheritance. But why is it glowing? There seems to be a record in the inheritance that this is a sign that the fledgling is lucky enough to awaken its talent.

His dragon eyes narrowed slightly: "This is troublesome."

As a red dragon, it's not surprising that it can awaken any kind of talent. Cinsera might take revenge for it, and he doesn't think Cinsera can tolerate it.

Given the Red Dragon's temperament, she would definitely seek revenge for even the smallest grudge, let alone the fact that Alecto stole her eggshell...

Should we cripple her now?

Alecto looked around again, and after confirming that Daenerys was not there, he cautiously approached Cynthia.

Only when he got closer did he realize that the two were very different in size.

It would take three Cinsera combined to barely match his size!

Alecto was immediately relieved.

Ah ha~~~ What is he worried about? So what if he awakens his talent? With such a huge difference in size, he can't possibly lose even if he wants to.

If Cinsera dares to cause trouble, he can teach her how to be a dragon in no time.

After Alecto felt relieved, he looked at Cinsella and another feeling arose within him.

Strange, Cinsy seems kind of cute now, even though I didn't feel that way the first time I saw her...

So cute, the more I look at it, the cuter it gets...

Just as he was staring at Cinsella, the sound of something dragging on the ground came from the direction of the entrance, getting closer and closer.

A strong stench of blood filled the air; Daenerys Targaryen had returned.

She held a blood-dripping forest mammoth in her mouth, its limp body hanging from her dragon snout. Blood dripped down its scales onto the scorching ground, making a continuous sizzling sound and rising a sweet, pungent white vapor.

Revana casually tossed the mammoth onto the open ground, then noticed the large baby in front of her and the unusual Cinsera. A hint of surprise flashed in her eyes, but it was quickly replaced by coldness.

This unexpected situation was clearly beyond her expectations, but it was a good thing.

She remarked meaningfully, "Looks like I'll be able to relax soon."

Ignoring the cubs, Revana walked straight into the depths of the nest and disappeared into the darkness.

"Alecto...don't bother me, you don't want to know the consequences..."

At this moment, Alecto's gaze was fixed on the food, and he didn't even think about replying to Daenerys.

He's so hungry his stomach is on fire.

Startled by the commotion of Daenerys' return, Cinsera's light flickered violently a few times, and she suddenly awoke with a low growl of annoyance.

She immediately spotted Alecto in front of her, her eyes instantly turning dangerous: How did this guy get next to me? What does he want now? But this is a good opportunity…

Oliveira also woke up with a start, looking at Alecto and Cinsella with a blank expression, at a loss: were they going to fight again?

Inside the nest, the smells of blood, sulfur, and the breathing of the young dragons mingled, creating a tense but brief silence.

Cynthia and Oliveira's hunger was also stirred. The little energy provided by the eggshell had long been exhausted in their slumber. They needed more magical flesh and blood than Alector to further activate the dragon's potential and stimulate the budding of dragon breath.

But more importantly, this feeding marked the beginning of the young dragon establishing its status.

Alecto was the first to act, rushing towards the mammoth carcass and completely ignoring Cynthia behind him.

He was the eldest son in name, and the strongest in physique and strength, so naturally he had the highest status and should be the first to eat.

"roar--!"

A roar suddenly rang out.

Suddenly, a bright red light shone from Cinsera's mouth, and a lava bullet the size of a human head shot out, heading straight for Alecto.

The attack came swiftly and suddenly, filled with resentment at having their eggshells stolen.

Alecto's reaction was equally astonishingly fast.

The fighting instincts bestowed upon him by the Dragon's Legacy roared within him.

Instead of dodging, he suddenly twisted his body, his thick, scale-covered dragon tail lashing out like a giant whip at the incoming lava projectile.

Bang! A dull thud echoed through the cave!

The lava bomb was pulverized, and lava scattered like fireworks, landing on the ground with a hissing sound and wisps of white smoke.

Several scales on Alekto's tail broke off, causing a sharp pain, but for his massive body, it was nothing more than a minor superficial injury.

The most dangerous high temperatures of the lava bomb had no effect on him.

A violent rage followed, and Alecto's dragon eyes hardened:

"Cynthia! My foolish sister! You think you can defeat me with this little bit of magic?!"

A flicker of surprise crossed Cinsella's eyes, but she quickly regained her composure:

"Why not? My dear brother, you have no idea what I have truly gained..."

Alecto chuckled, "Looks like I'll have to teach you a lesson you won't forget."

Cinsera immediately braced herself on her feet, spreading her wings with all her might to increase her imposing presence: "We'll see if you can do it!"

The moment she finished speaking, Cinsera began chanting again, and magical energy surged forth.

Alecto wasn't about to sit idly by. He roared, his massive body carrying an overwhelming aura, crashing into Cinsera like a crimson meteor.

Cinsera was ultimately too young and lacked sufficient experience in magical combat. Her sneak attack was too fast and too hasty, so that she did not inflict significant damage on Alekto, and the two were only inches apart.

Even immediately after the attack, she did not distance herself from Alecto.

This led to a very interesting and talked-about situation.

Her incantation wasn't finished, the magic hadn't taken shape, and Alecto was already pressed against her face!

Cinther frantically interrupted her chant, trying to dodge Alekto's dragon charge, but Alekto was too fast and they were too close.

boom!

In an instant, another dull thud rang out.

Cinsera's petite body was struck solidly by Alekto. After letting out a painful screech, the dragon was thrown off the ground and tumbled onto a rock several meters away, sending sparks flying.

She struggled to get up, but swayed like a candle in the wind, and kept gagging.

Clearly, the collision not only interrupted her spellcasting but also caused her serious internal injuries.

"Foolish!" Alextot stood still, looking down at the struggling Cinsera with disdain.

"Until you learn how to use your magical talent, it will only hasten your death!"

"Don't you understand?! Power! Cinsera! For us red dragons, only the most primal and direct power is the foundation of survival! Your fancy magic can't even burn through my scales!"

Cinsera struggled to prop herself up on her forelimbs, her eyes burning with rage: "Who do you think you are! You actually consider yourself my elder brother?! If you hadn't stolen my eggshell, my talent would be far greater than what I have now!"

She abruptly turned to Oliveira, who had been watching from the sidelines, and shouted at the top of her lungs:

"What are you still looking at! Come help me! If you can hold him off, we can win! Have you forgotten how he stole our eggshells?! Don't you want revenge?! Oliveira!"

Oliveira shuddered at Cinsella's roar, the humiliation of having her eggshell stolen by Alector beginning to resurface.

Joining forces? It seems like an opportunity. Cinsera has awakened her magical talent; perhaps it really can…

But the way Alector had just crushed Cynthia was so impactful, and Alector's size intimidated her...

Oliveira hesitated, her dragon claws pawing nervously at the ground.

She neither immediately responded to Cinsella's call to rush towards Alecto, nor did she obediently step back to show submission.

Alecto took in Oliveira's hesitation and sneered inwardly.

He ignored his sister, who posed no immediate threat, and refocused all his attention on Cinsera.

This foolish younger sister clearly hasn't grasped reality yet and needs a more profound lesson to enlighten her.

He approached step by step: "Still indulging in wishful thinking? Cynthia, let me show you reality."

Alecto stopped in front of Cinsera, his enormous shadow completely enveloping her.

"Let the taste of blood and flesh deepen your memory of who is the leader of this nest of dragons."

Before he could finish speaking, Alecto suddenly lowered his head, opened his massive jaws filled with sharp teeth, and bit down on Cynthia's neck with the force of a thunderbolt.

If that bite lands firmly, even with the young dragon's defenses, it would be enough to cause serious injury, and might even bite off her slender neck.

Cinsera's pupils contracted sharply; the shadow of death instantly loomed over her.

She screamed and rolled over with all her might.

laugh……

Alecto grazed her neck, sending a few small scales flying and leaving a sizable wound on her shoulder blade.

The scalding dragon blood immediately gushed out.

"ah--!!!"

Cinsera let out a piercing howl, but the excruciating pain had also driven her to madness: "Olivera! If you still think you're a red dragon, come and help me!"

Oliveira was completely stunned.

Cinsera's gruesome wounds, along with Alecto's overwhelming strength and size, instantly extinguished her newly ignited thoughts of resistance.

revenge?

Faced with such an absolute disparity, this idea seems both ridiculous and fatal.

Endure! At this moment, Oliveira had no choice but to endure!

Oliveira quickly stepped back, no longer looking at the despairing Cinsera, lowered her head and fixed her gaze on the ground, clearly demonstrating her submission through her actions—at least for this moment.

She didn't want to be the next person Alecto bite.

"waste!"

Seeing Oliveira's reaction, Cinsera's heart sank completely.

Alecto was pleased with Oliveira's sensible behavior and stopped looking at his cowardly sister.

"Have you come to terms with reality, Cinsera?"

He pressed his dragon claw against Cinsera's wound and squeezed it down hard.

"Ugh—!"

Cinsera convulsed in pain, and more dragon blood gushed from her wounds under the immense pressure.

The excruciating pain nearly made her faint, and it completely shattered her last will to resist.

"I give up!"

"Excellent! Cinsera, a wise choice."

Alecto happily withdrew his claws:

"But if there's a next time, I promise I'll bite your neck off..."

"Now, all of you get out of the way! You can have your turn after I'm done."

He slowly walked to the mammoth carcass, went around to the relatively soft belly, tore off a large piece of bloody flesh, and began to devour it.

The magical chunks of meat burst in your mouth, firm and chewy, with a sweet and delicious taste and absolutely no bloody aftertaste.

As Alecto ate, he discovered that this was a newly grown forest mammoth, a level four creature with vigorous vitality. Mammoths usually form herds and live primarily in groups.

This means there are large forests and good biodiversity nearby, with abundant food, so he can develop his business there in the future...

Alekto quickly emptied the mammoth's abdominal cavity and removed its enormous heart.

That is the core of the mammoth's flesh and blood essence, containing abundant magic power.

He opened his enormous mouth and swallowed the heart, which was not much smaller than his head, whole.

His heart slid down his esophagus, and an unparalleled sense of satisfaction welled up within him. He squinted his eyes in comfort and let out a long, satisfying burp.
