Marvel: I am Iron Man

Chapter 66 Laser Cutting!

The Frost Giants also noticed the Iron Man descending from the sky.

The presence of a living person, but without the slightest fluctuation of magic... a mortal wearing an iron shell.

A disdainful sneer appeared on the giants' ugly faces.

Of the nine realms, apart from Midgard, which is inhabited by mortals, the other eight realms generally acknowledge Midgard as the weakest of the nine realms.

In their view, Midgards were not only physically weak and fragile, like porcelain dolls that would break at the slightest touch, with the lowest physical abilities in the Nine Realms, but they were also completely ignorant of magic and were all Muggles.

For millennia, Midgard has been synonymous with "weakness." No one in the Nine Realms took this muddy little place seriously, and the Frost Giants were no exception.

What is this? Mortals, dressed in fancy armor, dare to challenge the mighty frost giants?

Iron Man raised his hand, made a fist with his right hand, and extended his arm forward.

The target was locked inside the HUD, and the launch port on the forearm of the armored arm opened instantly like a honeycomb gate, revealing the neatly arranged twin launch tubes underneath, glowing with a pale blue light like LEDs.

A series of rapid, sharp hissing sounds rang out—the sound of the highly efficient, rapidly igniting propulsion system, like a venomous snake striking its forked tongue. Long, thin trails of flame erupted from the arms, striking the chests of the three frost giants with incredible speed.

There was no loud explosion. First came three almost overlapping, muffled, and extremely penetrating "plop" sounds, like red-hot iron shovels being pierced into thick, wet clay.

Then all the frost giants watched in horror as tiny, blazing white spots appeared on the chests of their three companions in an instant. Their icy armor melted and vaporized like a hot knife meeting butter, caved in dramatically, and then burst open from the inside.

The three giants were struck as if by lightning. Their massive bodies suddenly arched backward, expanding violently and tearing open their chests, creating huge holes in their front and back that were as large as washbasins.

Armor-piercing rocket-propelled grenade, manufactured by Stark, an exclusive limited edition for Iron Man.

Before they could even let out a proper scream, the three giants were instantly killed, crashing to the ground with a loud thud, raising clouds of dust.

The disdainful smiles of the giants in the audience froze on their faces, turning into shock and panic in the next second.

what?

Is this a weapon for mortals?

Keep in mind that they are a race of frost giants, whose physical abilities are among the top tier even in the entire Nine Realms. They can't compare to overpowered beings like Thor, but their average physical attributes easily surpass those of ordinary Asgardians.

Even the Frost Giants, a race as powerful as they were, and giants who were a huge threat even in Asgard's eyes, were instantly killed.

And in Midgard? In the mortal world?

The next moment, Iron Man's feet propelled him forward, his fists shooting out in a "Superman punch" motion, like a blasting battering ram striking the leading giant's abdomen.

The armor's powerful thrust sent the giant sprawling backward. Iron Man, however, deftly somersaulted and crouched down, landing right in the center of the giants.

The giants reacted, roared at him, and swung their weapons to attack him.

This is outrageous!

Once upon a time, the Frost Giants were enemies even the Asgardian gods feared, like a raging flood in the Nine Realms.

When did even a mere mortal become so arrogant and overbearing?

Iron Man landed in the center of the giants, maintaining a half-crouching posture, his wrist armor deformed, and a hidden mechanism flipped up from the inside.

These frost giants were completely unaware. Tony's charge just now wasn't to attack the frost giants in front of him, but to adjust his position.

Now, he landed right in the center of the frost giants' encirclement, surrounded on all sides.

That's perfect.

Just as the Frost Giants swarmed forward, Iron Man unleashed two crimson, scorching beams of light from the backs of his hands.

The laser cutting laser concentrates ultra-high energy to the extreme, possessing ultra-high temperature and the ability to cut through iron like mud.

Iron Man uses himself as the axis, and the lasers in his hands are like infinitely extending beams of light, drawing perfect and deadly arcs as his body rotates!

The cutting was almost effortless, accompanied by a series of teeth-grinding "sizzling" sounds, like high-temperature plasma cutting through alloy. The giants' icy blue bodies were like butter meeting a hot knife; the movements of each giant froze instantly, and then thin, red-hot rays of light appeared from the severed chests and abdomens.

Then the giants' upper bodies slowly slid down the smooth cut surface, some even with their lower bodies still in a forward-leaning posture, staggering a couple more steps before collapsing. Black, molten, mixed tissue emanated from the severed body sections, along with steam that smelled of burning.

Laser cutting beam emitter. An experimental weapon first mounted on the Mark 6 in the movie, but because the temperature is too high and could even cause the armor to overheat, it can only be used once. After use, the firing core must be ejected. It is the hottest and most powerful cutting weapon on Iron Man's body.

However, in the Avengers movie, the upgraded Mark 1 armor overcame the overheating problem. Since then, laser cutting has become Iron Man's standard weapon, with no further defects.

As for the power of the laser... just look at the spectacular performance of the Mark 6 clearing out the enemy in the final battle of Iron Man 2. Even Colonel Rhodes, who was familiar with Tony, was shocked when he first saw this thing.

Now, Tony's Arc Reactor output is much stronger than the original Mark 7, and the laser cutting strength has naturally increased to an even more astonishing level.

So you can imagine the shock the Frost Giants are feeling right now... Of course, this refers to the few Frost Giants who are still alive and feeling the shock, those who were standing on the outermost edge with teammates as meat shields and who reacted quickly enough to lie down and escape.

Because of that one blow, ninety percent of the Titans present had been cut in half at the waist.

One hit wipes them all out!

What does this mean?

The surviving frost giants immediately realized that the iron-clad figure before them was no ordinary mortal they could despise.

To wipe out so many of their compatriots in an instant—such a feat would be considered high-end even across the entire Nine Realms, and would be considered top-tier even in Asgard, a land known as the land of gods.

Even if he is a mortal, he is a mortal who can rival the gods!

The few remaining frost giants immediately lost their will to fight and turned to run away.

Tony slowly stood up, locked onto the target in the HUD, raised his arms, and fired his palm cannons in alternating motions. Several arc pulses shot out, and the remaining few survivors were all finished off, their massive bodies exploding.

From the landing of the Mark 7 to the clearing of the area, the entire process took only five seconds—literally a swift kill.

However, shortly afterward, a new warning message appeared on the monitor in front of Tony.

"Warning," Jarvis said. "Strong energy response. A target is approaching."

Tony looked up. In front of Iron Man's armor, the thick fog on the battlefield, still thick with ice dust and gunpowder smoke, suddenly parted silently to the sides, like an invisible giant hand lifting a curtain.

A new giant has emerged.

Before that person even stepped out, an endless chill swept across the battlefield like a tidal wave. The temperature sensors on Iron Man's armor instantly turned red, and countless tiny, glittering ice crystals danced in the air.

Tony could tell at a glance that this was no ordinary frost giant. He was at the center of that vortex of cold air, a boss-level figure even among giants.

That was Laufey, the Frost Giant King.
