Chapter 87 Three Plans
Chapter 87 A Plan
Gino pushed open the heavy, ancient stone door.
This is a deep pit pool that occupies the size of a living room.
It contains a mysterious liquid that is transparent and colorless yet shimmers with the luster of the Milky Way.
"What is this?"
Not only Talia, but even the group of assassins she brought showed expressions of surprise.
"Amber Gold".
Gino looked at the pool of spring water, walked forward, reached out and gently scooped it up. A stream of colorless and odorless water flowed through his fingers and returned to the pool.
"What can it do?" Talia's eyes darted around, her face full of excitement.
"To extend lifespan," Gino explained simply, describing the function of this pool of amber gold.
Of course, this thing is not that simple. Gino remembers that if this thing and the other four metals are gathered on a certain "chosen one", it is possible to summon the "dragon" Barbatos.
Of course, that dragon will never grant you three wishes; instead, it will turn you into a twisted and insane dark creature.
"Leave a few ninjas to transport this stuff away." Gino gave the order to Talia, and looking at the eager woman, he said indifferently, "You can take a small bucket, the rest are all mine."
Talia pursed her lips and could only wave her hand, ordering her assassins to find a vessel to fill with amber gold.
There was nothing she could do; their strengths were simply not on the same level, and she had no right to protest.
The two left the room filled with amber and gold, and then pushed open another stone door.
"A library?"
Gino looked at the dazzling array of books, a hint of interest appearing on his face.
This room is also the size of a living room, and there are three bookshelves hanging on the walls, piled with countless books.
Gino glanced around lightly with his eyes.
My gaze swept across the books, and I saw through their essence. Most of them simply recounted the assassination records and meeting minutes of the Court of Owls.
I walked towards the tallest bookshelf.
Gino took a heavy book down from above.
He blew away the thick layer of dust from the book cover.
Talia watched Gino flip through the book with a cold smile and said mockingly, "I didn't expect you to be interested in reading."
"Reading makes me happy," Gino said with a dry joke, turning to page eighty-five.
"Owl Talon assassinated Alan Wayne in 1922."
"Alan Wayne of the Wayne family, Bruce's great-great-grandfather."
Gino pinched his chin, recalling the long and complicated history between the Court of Owls and the Wayne family.
Gino flipped through the book again and quickly found more clues.
"Twenty-one 'Owl Nests' were established in Gotham City using the 'Alan Wayne' Foundation."
The so-called Alan Wayne Trust Foundation targets young architects and aims to promote the construction of high-rise buildings in Gotham City.
Gino skimmed through it and couldn't help but think to himself how clever this owl court was.
Over the past 150 years, they have used the Wayne family's money to do their own thing, building nearly twenty buildings in Gotham City.
"Let's go, this court of owls is giving me more and more surprises."
Gino put down his book and left the house with the woman.
Another stone gate.
He pushed the door open again and entered.
This room contains countless neatly arranged red coffins.
Talia followed Gino closer to the coffins and found that they were all open and empty, but in the very center of each coffin were framed photos of small, thin children.
"They collect orphans from Gotham City, raise them from childhood, train them into qualified assassins, and then let them slumber here when they are no longer needed."
Gino rubbed his neck. It was a pity that the Court of Owls had sacrificed all of its Claw assassins in its attempt to deal with him.
The two walked through the group of coffins.
"That's really interesting."
Gino tilted his head and looked at the vast, complexly laid-out maze made of marble in front of him.
At the entrance to the maze stood a giant owl statue, and beneath its talons flowed a gurgling fountain.
Looking at the layout of the room, Gino's lips gradually curled into a smile.
"Talia, go and gather your ninjas."
The woman didn't understand Gino's thoughts, but she didn't question them and nodded as she left.
Gino surveyed the fountain and the maze.
He had a plan in mind, an interesting plan targeting Bruce Wayne.
"What kind of surprise will you bring me this time?"
"What kind of surprise will you bring me this time?"
Wayne Castle.
Bruce dragged his weary body through the door and entered the Wayne Manor library.
As the wealthiest family in Gotham City, the Wayne family's library records the life stories of every Wayne.
Bruce rubbed his sleepy eyes. Ever since he witnessed Maroney being assassinated by the owl-cloaked guy, that horrific scene had stirred up deep memories in Bruce.
From a very young age, he suspected that his parents' deaths were not accidental and even investigated whether the Court of Owls really existed.
But when he confined himself to a room for more than a week because of his investigation and nearly starved to death, Bruce gave up his doubts.
"Let me see where you are?"
Bruce climbed the escalator to find the family chronicle he was looking for.
Compared to Gino, who can find what he wants with a single glance, Bruce, being only human, can only search slowly.
Time passed second by second.
"Smack."
Bruce pulled out a book from one side with two fingers. He looked at the smooth cover and realized that the butler, Alfred, was undoubtedly a loyal and responsible butler who had kept the huge library spotless.
Bruce turned the pages and found the records of his great-great-grandfather, Alan Wayne.
"In his later years, Alan Wayne often suspected that he was being watched by a lurking assassin organization. He was diagnosed with delusional disorder and schizophrenia by Arkham Asylum. He died after jumping into a Gotham underground tunnel, breaking his neck and hitting his head."
Bruce silently read the lines of text. In the past, he might have thought that his great-great-grandfather had simply gone mad due to excessive pressure.
But now, Bruce begins to wonder if there really is such a terrifying organization in Gotham City, secretly controlling everything in Gotham City?
"master."
There was a knock on the door, and Alfred slowly pushed it open and entered. He had one hand behind his back, his posture impeccable. The old man said in a calm and unhurried tone, "Mr. James Gordon of the Gotham City Police Department wishes to see you."
He said he had something important to discuss with you.
Bruce's hand trembled slightly as he recalled the files on James Gordon.
An outsider ostracized by corrupt police, but it is currently impossible to confirm whether this person is honest.
"Let's go."
Bruce closed the book and pushed it into the bookcase.
Afu followed behind him, and the two entered the hall, where they met James Gordon, who was sitting on the sofa with a serious expression.
