Chapter 73 Farewell (Superman Season 1 Finale or Bonus Chapter)

Underground base.

"Da da".

Gino walked slowly toward the three of them.

"He...he's not afraid of bullets!?"

The black bodyguard rubbed his eyes hard; he simply couldn't believe what he was seeing.

A high school student blocked the most deadly firearm with just his palm.

The twisted shell casings on the ground proved that what they had just seen was not an illusion.

Black people don't believe in evil spirits.

"Bang bang bang!"

Several more gunshots rang out. They didn't even see the boy make any move; he simply stretched out his hand slightly, and the bullets he fired were thrown to the ground again.

Amanda's eyes were filled with fear, and she strained to see how Gino had done it.

"call."

Gino blew the dust off his palms and stood in front of his bodyguards.

The boy smiled at the two of them: "You look surprised."

His words successfully brought the stunned bodyguards back to their senses, and the two black men charged at Gino with their fists raised.

"Sigh, how boring." Gino shook his head.

The next second, two large hands suddenly grabbed the black man's neck, and then they made their heads collide.

"Bang!"

Like a watermelon bursting open, the shattered skull mixed with brain matter was splattered on Amanda's face.

"Ah!" the woman screamed, like a screaming groundhog.

"Shut up."

Gino glanced at Amanda, and the woman immediately bit her lip, like a duck with its neck choked, not daring to make a sound.

Gino tossed aside the two headless corpses in his hands, looked at the blood on his hands, and then flicked the blood droplets away.

A few drops of blood traced graceful arcs in the air before landing on Amanda's lips.

A faint smell of blood lingered in the air.

Amanda's pupils dilated, her expression lost in thought.

She was terrified.

Women have always considered themselves to be brave and strong.

But today.

After witnessing all of this firsthand, her heart began to waver.

A feeling of fear began to grow in Amanda's heart, reminding her of her black father who ran away with his pants up when she was six years old.

Fear was consuming the woman's mind, while her deep-seated will to survive kept reminding her to do something.

What should she do now?

Revolt?

The two corpses on the ground are the best answer.

Begging and pleading? Asking a young high school student for something?

Amanda was filled with conflicting emotions.

But then a pair of blood-stained sneakers came into view.

The so-called self-esteem and honor crumbled in an instant.

"Don't kill me!"

Amanda heard herself scream like a pig being slaughtered, and her sturdy knees bent naturally as she knelt on the ground.

Amanda kept saying, "I'm the president's aide, a member of Congress, and the head of the paranormal events task force. You can't kill me!"

She even considered the issue from the Luther family's perspective, rattling off a string of words: "If I die, the White House will definitely send people to investigate, and the town will be exposed to more and more people!"

The sneakers slowly came to a stop.

then.

"Bang!"

A sneaker stomped hard on Amanda's head, making her head make intimate contact with the floor.

Overwhelmed by humiliation, Amanda clenched her fists instantly. She heard the blond boy's voice: "How amusing, Congresswoman Amanda."

"I think you make a good point. So, what do you think I should do?"

Amanda suppressed her anger, loosened her clenched fists, and said in a low voice, "If you let me go, I'm willing to serve the Luther family."

"Hahaha!" A clear laugh rang out overhead.

Gino looked at the fat, black woman he was stepping on and shook his head, saying, "But, Ms. Amanda, you just said that politicians' words are never to be trusted."

"Now you want me to let you go?"

"Although I don't trust you," Gino leaned down and looked at the ugly woman, "I'm a good person and willing to give you a chance, but it will cost you a small price."

As Gino spoke, he gestured with two fingers to indicate his name, his smile radiant, like a devil who had just tricked someone.

He clapped his hands, and with a silly grin on his face, Bizarro brought out a syringe.

Gino tapped the needle and smiled, "Please allow me to introduce you."

"Nano bombs~"

It's that familiar black Lincoln again.

Amanda stared venomously at the Luther Chemical Plant outside the window, her head tilted to the side.

The woman rubbed her thick neck, a flash of hatred in her eyes.

But then, as if deflated, she tapped the car seat, signaling the driver to leave.

"Ms. Amanda."

The driver started the car, and the Lincoln drove smoothly away from the factory.

The Black driver glanced curiously at the woman in the rearview mirror: "How's your investigation going?"

Amanda glanced at the driver and said expressionlessly, "Nothing was found. Everything is normal in this town."

on Monday.

"Ring ring ring".

As the exam bell rang, students dropped their test papers and rushed towards the corridor, cheering and screaming.

The final exams are over, and what awaits them is a two-month summer vacation.

Gino and Chloe walked side by side.

Since Gino and Clark broke off their friendship, Chloe and Pete have clearly gone their separate ways and followed different friends.

If we consider permutations and combinations, it would roughly be:

Gino-Cloe.

Clark Pitt.

In the corridor,

Chloe glanced at Gino out of the corner of her eye, then hesitated for a moment before slowly asking, "So, what are your plans for summer vacation?"

"Me?" Gino shrugged. "I don't know, maybe I'll stay in small town."

Before he could finish speaking, his cell phone rang in his pocket.

He took out his phone, looked at the number on it, and answered the call expressionlessly.

"What's wrong?"

"You should be on vacation, right?" Lionel's voice came through the phone. He said slowly, "Your mother wants to go back to Gotham City to visit your grandfather, and she hopes you'll go with her."

Gino paused for a moment, then replied, "I understand."

Gino hates his father, but he loves his mother.

"Wow, I didn't mean to overhear, but you're going to Gotham this summer?" Chloe shuddered. "Just hearing the name Gotham gives me goosebumps."

What is Gotham?

People will think of many titles the moment they hear its name.

"Sin City," "Devil's Land"—anything associated with chaos and evil can be labeled in Gotham City.

It was a chaotic and evil place—that was the consensus of everyone.

"Yes, Gotham City. My mother wants to visit my grandfather." Gino put his phone away. He loved his mother and naturally wouldn't let her go to a sinful place like Gotham alone.

Chloe sighed, "Sigh, I was planning to invite you to next week's bonfire party, but it looks like that's not going to happen."

"There will always be a chance, Chloe." Gino smiled, looked down, and ruffled the girl's hair. "See you in the fall."

Chloe lowered her head, but still managed a smile and said, "Okay, see you in the fall."

Tomorrow we'll be entering the Gotham storyline. Long live my beloved Gotham!
