Chapter 71 Uninvited Guest

Lex sat at his desk, busy with his work.

As Lex watched Victoria leave, the smile on his face vanished instantly, almost in the blink of an eye.

Lex stared coldly at Victoria's retreating figure, gesturing with his fingers on the table, and slowly uttered a short word: "Fool."

He knew exactly what this woman's true purpose was.

But just as Gino guessed, Lex didn't mind playing around with this stupid woman, just as a pastime while accumulating strength.

However, Lex was still angry about the other party's disparaging behavior towards Gino.

"Lex".

Having finally managed to sleep in, Gino was dragged out of bed by his older brother. He fiddled with the kryptonite in his hand as he walked down the stairs, complaining, "Why did you wake me up so early?"

He didn't believe that the cunning Lex would be helpless; perhaps Lex had already found hundreds of solutions to the problem as soon as he learned of Amanda's arrival.

Lex remained silent for a moment, a cold glint flashing in his dark green eyes: "Let's wait and see."

"If this woman insists on getting to the bottom of things..."

He smiled, a smile that was rather eerie and cruel: "Then, let's offer a small gift to her neck."

Inside the black Lincoln sedan.

Smelling the fragrance inside the car, Amanda gazed quietly through the car window at the ancient castle with a long history not far away.

As a White House dog, Amanda knew the weight of financial giants like the Luther family in America.

There's an unspoken line between tycoons and powerful figures: they both exercise restraint, cooperating while simultaneously fighting each other.

The heir to such a colossal entity, however, willingly chose to remain in a barren town.

Considering the long history of bizarre murders in the town, Amanda felt as if a thick fog had enveloped her vision, obscuring everything.

She stuck out her thick tongue and licked the corner of her mouth, like a greedy toad.

The more mysterious something is, the more it inspires her research.

What secrets does the Luther family hide beneath the town?

She couldn't wait to dig it up.

"Beep beep~"

There was a knock on the car window, and the driver rolled down the window.

The elderly, white-haired butler of the Luther family, dressed in a suit, said: "Ms. Amanda, the Luther family welcomes you."

A bald young man with a serious and calm demeanor was standing next to another young man with blond hair, an ordinary expression, and an air of indifference towards everything.

"Ms. Amanda, welcome." Lex greeted her with a bright smile, just like a seasoned businessman.

The blond youth beside him sat unceremoniously on the sofa at the other end, not even glancing at Amanda.

"Mr. Luther," Amanda looked away, stood up, and shook Lex's outstretched hand, "It's a pleasure to meet you."
