Chapter 49 Ball Invitation

Talia returned to her room, a dark and gloomy house situated on the island's shadowy side.

Talia turned on the light, squinted slightly to adjust to the light, and sat gently on the soft bed, her emerald green eyes fixed on a photograph riddled with holes on the wall.

The young man in the photo is handsome, with long blond hair and a white shirt, looking like an angel descended from heaven.

"Oh."

Talia snorted and pulled a dart from her pocket.

With a "whoosh," the cold, sharp blade of the dart pierced the groin of the young man in the photo, as if doing so would make her feel a little better.

"Despicable thing." Talia gritted her teeth in hatred. She was not sure what she was feeling; there was resentment and confusion.

"Ding ding~"

The phone beeped, Talia opened it, saw the message, frowned slightly, and then let out a cold laugh.

"Recommend an assistant to me?" Talia scoffed, muttering to herself, "Clearly, they're planning to send an informant to spy on me."

Despite the threat from Gino, Talia reluctantly agreed and arranged a meeting place with Tina.

………………

As the first rays of morning sunlight streamed into Luther Castle, Gino, dressed in his pajamas, stood in the bathroom spitting out the foam in his mouth.

"Young Master," the butler said, carrying a stack of invitations, as he approached Gino not far away, "your memo indicates that you will be sending out invitations to a dance party to your classmates during this period."

"I have prepared hundreds of invitations for you. The time is set for 10 p.m. tomorrow night."

"Ah, I almost forgot about that, butler."

Gino smiled and took the invitation.

The invitation, adorned with gold, looks quite impressive.

Gino glanced out the window.

On the lawn outside the castle, servants were busy moving tables and chairs.

"Tomorrow night is destined to be lively," Gino chuckled.

He was looking forward to the dance tomorrow night.

"Oh, right, butler." Gino turned to his butler and said, "Prepare a plane ticket to London. Have Tina go to the café on 16th Street in London, and then call this number to contact her boss."

After his conversation with Talia last night, Gino has already arranged Tina's future life trajectory.

"Your wish."

"Buzz~"

The engine roared as the Bugatti sports car sped into the campus.

It was another school day. Gino arrived at the school at a moderate pace, and many students had already come to school.

"Good morning, Gino!" Chloe suddenly jumped out from behind Gino and gently patted the boy's shoulder.

"Should I act surprised?" Gino turned around and looked at the campus trio.

"I know I can't scare you." Chloe sighed, and the four of them walked side by side, chatting as they went.

Chloe approached Gino mysteriously and whispered:

"Have you heard? A thief broke into Laurent's Antique Shop last night and found Mrs. Laurent's body in a cabinet!"

"Wow, has the killer been caught?" Gino asked calmly, while Clark kept staring at Gino, trying to read something from his friend's face.

Unfortunately, Clark didn't know that the seed family members were all born actors.

Police suspect that Lauren's daughter murdered her.

Gino shrugged: "That's really bad news."

"However, I also have some good news to share."

Gino winked at the girl, then pulled a stack of gold invitations from his pocket.

These beautifully crafted invitations looked quite lovely in the morning sunlight.

"What's this?" Chloe's eyes widened, and she quickly reached out and pulled out a card.

The girl read aloud the words on the paper: "Gino Luther cordially invites you to a ball at Luther Castle on May 24th at 22:00!"

As Chloe finished speaking, her voice suddenly rose: "Good heavens, this is a ball invitation!"

Hearing Chloe's scream, Peter and Clark's eyes lit up.

In the eyes of a hormone-fueled teenager, a dance is equivalent to extending an invitation to the girl he likes, and Clark immediately thought of Lana.

Clark imagined himself holding Lana's hands, dancing gracefully on the wide lawn of Luther Castle.

"Gurgle."

Clark swallowed hard, immediately putting Tina's matter aside. Tina? Could Tina be more important than Gino's ball?

Chloe's eyes darted around, she took a deep breath to gather her courage, and looked at Gino: "So, do you have a dance partner?"

Chloe's big eyes were full of expectation; she didn't know what answer she would get.

"A dance partner? I don't have one." Gino shook his head, glanced at Chloe, and smiled. "Want to dance with me?"

He was well aware of Chloe's feelings, but Gino had no intention of dating right now.

Chloe nodded repeatedly: "Of course!"

Gino ruffled Chloe's short blond hair: "I'm fine."

Pete, standing to the side, hesitated for a moment before asking, "But Gino, with so many invitations, who are you planning to give them to?"

"To be honest, I don't plan to distribute them myself."

Gino waved the stack of invitations in his hand, glancing at Clark casually, and said, "Perhaps I need a few helpers to distribute these invitations."

There was a reason he did this. If he were to post it himself, a bunch of girls would flock to him begging for a spot. Gino hated wasting time on such things, so he simply left this show-off to a few friends.

Beautiful women? He'd been tired of seeing them since he was a child. Beauty wasn't a scarce resource for the elite.

"Ahem, I'm willing to lend a hand!" Clark raised his hand without hesitation to sign up, puffing out his chest to show that he was very reliable.

And Little Black Pete also raised his hand.

This is a great opportunity to show off.

Why not?

Gino handed the two invitations in two stacks, stating his conditions: "First of all, we absolutely cannot allow those drug addicts into Luther Castle, nor those bastards who like to bully students."

"And bringing your own alcohol and 'leaf' is not allowed."

American high school students love seeking thrills, but Gino doesn't want to see a bunch of "drug addicts" on his own castle.

Clark and Pete nodded repeatedly: "Don't worry, Gino, we will definitely keep a strict eye on things."

Gino laughed and said, "I'm not worried about Pete, but Clark is indecisive and easily influenced."

As he spoke, Gino nudged Clark lightly with his elbow and whispered, "Perhaps you could also go to Lana and discuss who can attend the ball?"

"Great idea!" Clark took a deep breath, clutching the golden invitation tightly in his hand. Just as Gino had said, this was a good opportunity for him to get closer to Lana.
