Chapter 422 The Crazy Starfish
Chapter 422 The Crazy Starfish
A conspiracy, a betrayal, a terrifying nightmare, a fear with no end in sight.
A huge hall, a pile of shattered glass, and a broken iron gate.
Some gruesome corpses, a pool of blood on the floor, and a woman lying on the cold floor.
All of this constitutes a drama of betrayal and betrayal.
"Da da da".
Military boots crunched on the broken floorboards as the tall figure walked slowly.
Trevor stood with his hands behind his back, the pungent smell of blood filling the air. He took a deep breath, his face filled with intoxication.
"You know what? This smell makes me feel like I hold the power of life and death over many people."
He looked down at Amanda, who lay in a pool of blood. The once glorious and arrogant fat black woman was dead, her eyes wide open.
He bent down and snatched the megaphone from the woman's tightly clenched hand.
"Big starfish".
Trevor smiled, staring intently at the giant starfish floating in the current, and said, "Let's make a deal."
"I am Staro, not a starfish."
The giant starfish swayed its five tentacles, and the large eye in the center of its body blinked as it stared at Trevor, giving it a somewhat eerie mythical feel reminiscent of Truthulus.
"Okay, Staro."
Trevor shrugged and said, "You can call me Trevor. Here's the thing: I killed the woman who was supposed to work with you."
"Now it's my turn to talk to you about our cooperation."
"I see."
Starro blinked his big eyes and stared at Trevor: "Survival of the fittest."
"We do the same thing on my planet."
Starro wiggled his tentacles, making a piercing motion: "Kill the opponent, plunder the resources."
"I can help you."
This alien creature displayed unusual intelligence, seemingly seeing Trevor's performance and his next plan very clearly.
"Okay, then, do as I say."
Trevor smiled calmly, his hands in his pockets. He enjoyed communicating with these intelligent alien beings, as it saved him time and effort. Of course, necessary precautions were also essential.
"Someone, go and place the several small nuclear bombs we have prepared around our alien friends."
Trevor smiled, his eyes narrowed. This was his precaution: if this alien creature showed even the slightest sign of rebellion, he would not hesitate to press the detonation button and blow the damned starfish monster to pieces.
"certainly."
Staro waved his tentacles and said, "We're friends, aren't we?"
Kansas.
The wind blowing through the wheat fields brings a sweet, gentle breeze.
Abby, a beautiful, typical Kansas American girl, was strolling through the field, laughing lightly. She walked through the wheat stalks, her clothes rustling as they brushed against the long, thin grains. Smiling, she turned to Clark, hands behind her back, and flashed a sweet smile: "Hurry up, big boy!"
"I'm afraid you won't be able to keep up if it's too fast!"
Not far from the girl, Clark was wearing black shorts and a white shirt. Although it was autumn, Superman's physique meant he wouldn't feel cold even if he were shirtless.
"Whoosh!"
In an instant, Clark, activating his supersonic speed, appeared behind Abby, then gently embraced the girl with his large hands: "Got you!"
"Hahaha! That doesn't count! You used superpowers!"
The two laughed loudly in the wheat field, their laughter carrying far and wide.
Not far away, under a large tree in a field, Lana sat on a stall. Chloe, looking at Lana's expressionless face, carefully picked up some blueberry jam from the ground: "Uh, they seem to be having a lot of fun?"
Lana's forced smile:
"Hehehe, of course I'm happy. Clark's hand is on that girl's stomach."
Clearly, she didn't seem that happy.
"Ugh."
Chloe spread blueberry jam on a slice of bread, shaking her head as she said, "Lana, sometimes I'm really curious."
Do you like Clark or not?
Hearing Chloe's words, Lana was slightly taken aback: "Why do you say that?"
"Because I think if you love him, you should tell him. If he agrees, then you can be together. If he doesn't agree, then perhaps the best choice is for you not to bother each other."
Hearing Chloe's words, Lana frowned. "So you're lecturing me, Chloe? If that's the case, why don't you just confess your feelings to Gino?"
Chloe laughed nonchalantly: "Of course I'm not lecturing you, I'm just stating the facts. As for why I don't confess my feelings to Gino?"
Chloe looked down at her reflection in the mirror, a hint of melancholy in her eyes, and said, "Do you think he'll accept me?"
"I'm not pretty, not as pretty as Zatanna."
"I am not as capable as Diana."
"So he definitely won't accept me~"
Chloe sighed, opened her small mouth and stuffed a piece of blueberry bread into it, chewing as she mumbled, "Because I know the outcome. If someone is interested in you, he won't stand still and wait for you to come to him."
"But you're different. Clark has always liked you since she was little." Chloe finished her bread, glanced meaningfully at Lana, and said, "Clark is a household name now. If you hesitate any longer, she might really not belong to you."
"I was chatting with Gino the other day, and he told me that Clark in every parallel universe would fall in love with Louise."
"You mean Louise from the Daily Planet?"
"That's right, Louise from the Daily Planet."
Lana frowned even more deeply now.
While the two were lost in thought, a man dressed as a deliveryman walked over from a short distance away.
"Hey, you two beauties."
A smiling man, carrying a cardboard box, walked a short distance from the two women. He took off his deliveryman's hat and shook it, then looked at them and asked with a smile, "Excuse me, where is Mr. Clark Kent?"
"I have one of his packages here."
"express delivery?"
Lana stood up, stared at the box in the deliveryman's hand, and then pointed to the wheat field in the distance: "He's in that wheat field."
Upon seeing the endless wheat field, the deliveryman's face immediately showed a troubled expression. He said, "This is too far. Gentlemen, could you please sign for this? I still have other deliveries to make."
"This..." Chloe hesitated, but Lana spoke first, "Why not? You can leave the package with me!"
"I will pass it on to Clark."
Lana's eyes flickered; clearly, she had already devised a meticulous plan, a foolproof plan.
"Understood, thank you very much."
The deliveryman put down the box and walked away.
