Chapter 391 Batman's Operation Part Two

"What do you mean?"

In the corridor of Arkham Asylum, Bane frowned slightly. Batman's attitude gave him some uneasy thoughts. He remembered that when he was in Master Forest, his master had spoken in a similar tone, as if entrusting his affairs to him.

"What are you going to do, Batman?" Bane couldn't suppress his doubts and asked.

He truly hated Batman. He hated Batman's desire to transform this Sin City into an ideal city, a city without sin. Bane wished he could smash Batman's spine and break his arms.

But all of this is predicated on him personally defeating Batman, rather than Batman being defeated and killed by an unknown force.

Within Arkham Prison, there were quite a few people who shared the same thoughts as Bane.

The Joker is the same kind of person. He doesn't want to cause trouble for Batman, so he keeps hurting Batman. He keeps using Batman's friends and family. Why? It's to destroy Batman's beliefs and make Batman believe that only chaos exists forever.

Perhaps it's easier to understand in other words.

The Joker only exists because of Batman.

Without Batman, the Joker's existence would be meaningless.

"What are you trying to do!"

The Joker, oblivious to his pain at being "betrayed" by Batman, stared intently at him.

After a brief silence, Batman told everyone what had recently happened.

"This is a major crisis for the planet, and I'm not sure if I can protect the planet and Gotham City."

"But I will do my best. If those invaders want to invade Gotham, they will have to step over my dead body."

Batman continued, "I've come here to see you for two reasons: firstly, to settle all our past grievances and disputes; and secondly, in my hope that you will protect this city after my death."

Batman spoke with a slightly sentimental tone, but the many villains around him who were listening to him all changed their expressions.

What did they all hear?!

Batman actually said he was going to die!

"Damn it, Batman! You can't die! I haven't gotten my revenge on you yet!"

He was being relentlessly wriggling around by Eun-na's massive body, entangled in steel bars, like a giant maggot. But amidst the suppressed rage in the play, everyone could hear the message: "Only I can kill you!"

The Joker's expression instantly changed: "Damn bat! Are you insane?"

"Your Justice League partner, Gino Luthor, is so strong, how could he possibly need you on the battlefield? You're lying to me, aren't you?"

"Gino has more important things to do."

"The enemy's attacks are not just targeting the Justice League; they also have superpowered individuals and a powerful army."

Batman sighed, lowering his head to make himself appear somewhat forlorn: "So this time, we not only lack manpower, but also sufficient allies to resist."

"So, if you also love Gotham, I hope you will stand up and protect the city after I die."

But Batman ignored the angry, suppressed shouts around him. After saying these words, he flicked his cape and walked towards the corridor outside, not forgetting to leave with the words: "Although I hate you criminals, you have given my life some meaning."

The low voice echoed in the corridor, reaching the ears of every villain, and then they watched Batman walk into the darkness and disappear.

Silence fell; the entire room was completely silent.

Batman has always presented a dark and absolutely tough image to many villains, but now Batman has actually said something like this.

What does this prove?

This proves that Batman was right; this crisis is likely one that even the Justice League will find difficult to handle.

"What should we do?"

Someone spoke up instinctively.

"What? What do we do? Wouldn't it be better if Batman died? Gotham City would be ours!"

"And who can guarantee that this stinky bat isn't lying to us?"

"But that's Batman, he never lies!"

"Moreover, you can only find someone as interesting as him all over the world."

As is well known, Arkham is a mental hospital, and the people who are incarcerated there all have some form of mental illness.

"Enough, all of you shut up!" Bane suddenly spoke, his suppressed voice carrying a hint of gritted teeth: "Batman absolutely cannot die, especially not at the hands of those alien invaders."

He slowly closed his eyes and said, "We have to help Batman!"

When he said those words, the entire area fell silent. Then, as if a stone had been thrown into a calm lake and disturbed the fish, all the prisoners who were held there joined in the argument.

"Helping Batman? Are you kidding me?"

"I've been locked up here for so long because of Batman!"

"I do think it's helpful to him, not for his sake, but for the sake of the city of Gotham."

Just like when people discuss a topic, there will always be two completely different voices opposing each other.

The group was roughly divided on Bane's suggestion to help Batman protect Gotham City.

Some people strongly opposed helping the stinking bats that had caused them so much suffering.

But some people support this view, saying that when a person's character is great enough, even if he is an opponent, you will respect and admire him because you will be convinced of his worth when you fall into his hands.

That's enough!

Just as everyone was arguing, the Joker, who had been silent all along, suddenly erupted. His bulging eyes stared intently at all the inmates in the mental hospital, and he said, half-threateningly, "I'm warning those of you who don't intend to participate in protecting Gotham City: if you oppose this plan, I assure you, when you're delayed in getting out, I'll use my expired bomb on you and your families!"

As he spoke, the Joker let out his signature manic laugh: "Believe me! You will never experience that feeling!"

Upon hearing the clown's words, some of the prisoners who had been objecting immediately shut their mouths.

Batman might only break your ribs and torment your mind, but the Joker is a molecule that can actually do what he says.

"Therefore, I have decided to plan the Arkham Escape, and then, mobilize all your connections and resources to assemble your forces, and together we will protect Gotham City!"

"Who agrees, and who disagrees?"

This time, no one objected; they all chose the Joker's plan to protect Gotham City.

"Then," the Joker grinned wickedly, "I'll call this plan Operation Saving the Bat Cubs!"
