Chapter 296 On the Eve of the Great Battle

Chapter 296 On the Eve of the Great Battle

Gotham City.

Iceberg Restaurant.

The hall, which should have been magnificent as the penguins' home, was completely empty.

Perhaps this place was packed with guests before the Dark Knights arrived, but after their arrival, these unfortunate souls were probably already hanging from the branches, becoming fuel for Barbatos's decaying multiverse.

now,

Inside a round table, Batman, who had also been given the "Bright Silver" armor by Gino, was explaining the battle plan.

"Although we outnumbered them, Barbatos also recruited some local villains."

"These guys are despicable for betraying Earth!" Clark was a little angry. Although he never killed anyone, the villains' actions could be seen as betrayal, or as so-called "Earth" traitors.

"Moreover, this includes some superheroes who were corrupted by Barbatos' dark energy."

Bruce tapped the table and pulled out a few photos from his bat-shaped belt, which resembled Doraemon's.

The first photo shows a figure wearing a white cloak and a red battle robe.

"Shazam."

Clark immediately recognized the other person.

"I never imagined he would also be corrupted by Barbatos."

"That's normal. Not everyone can resist the erosion of dark energy." Gino said unsurprisedly, his gaze sweeping over the crowd.

As is well known, Shazam possesses magical energy, as well as a physique and speed comparable to Superman.

The question then becomes: who should be sent?

Clark?

No, this kid is too soft-hearted and won't amount to anything. What we need is a quick and decisive battle, preferably with someone ruthless and taciturn.

Kara?

Gino ignored the girl without a second thought; she was even more foolish than her cousin Clark.

Batman?

The Justice League needs to save its second brain to deal with the Batman Who Laughs.

Gino quickly made his choice after glancing around.

There's not much to choose from; once you eliminate all the wrong options, there's only the correct answer.

"Fiona," Gino said, looking at his female adjutant, "this guy is yours."

"Yes!" Fiona nodded immediately, licking her lips excitedly.

She hadn't killed a superhuman in a long time, and her hands were itching to do it.

But seemingly sensing Fiona's thoughts, Gino rudely interrupted the woman, saying, "The premise is that we capture him alive. This little guy is actually only seven or eight years old; he's still just a little kid."

"All right."

Fiona was somewhat disappointed as she listened to Gino's account.

But under the boy's gaze, the woman still nodded reluctantly.

"I will complete the task you have assigned me."

Seeing that everyone had reached a consensus, Batman tapped the table and said, "There's one more person."

He released a photo of Wonder Woman looking menacing.

"Okay, this is the last thing I wanted to see."

Gino rubbed his temples, somewhat annoyed. Zatanna had used irony magic to hide in a spatial dimension at the same time as the magical upheaval, intending to fight alongside Gino, but was refused.

In comparison, Diana was clearly not so lucky.

"Kara, Clark, you two are in charge of dealing with Diana."

Wonder Woman is no pushover; her powerful wrists and Lasso of Truth alone are enough to cause her a lot of trouble.

"Are we going to fight?" Kara proudly raised her little head, clearly eager to try.

"As for Barbatos."

Gino looked up, as if he could see the monster's silhouette hovering in the clouds through the restaurant: "I'll handle it."

"Something's coming." Fiona looked at Gino.

"It's Diana and Shazam."

Gino's gaze locked onto the ceiling: "Then, let the battle begin!"

As the boy finished speaking, the glass window on the right side of the Iceberg Restaurant shattered.

"Hahaha, found you guys!"

Shazam, grinning maliciously, burst into view and unleashed a torrent of violent lightning energy.

These bolts of lightning formed fierce, roaring venomous snakes, but were pierced by a heat beam the moment they approached the group.

"boom!"

Two violent energies intertwined and exploded, the resulting explosion overturning the dining table and shattering the glass.

"Your opponent is me!"

Fiona roared, extinguishing her heat vision and slamming her fist into Shazam's chin.

"Bang!"

Shazam, who had been laughing loudly, suddenly stopped and flew backward, followed closely by Fiona.

"Mortals! You should atone for your sins!"

Diana brandished the Vulcan sword and charged towards the crowd.

"Your opponent is me!" Clark stepped forward, his steel body standing firm, as the Vulcan sword struck his chest, igniting brilliant sparks.

The Vulcan Sword is indeed a weapon forged by the gods, but it is clearly inferior to the "X" metal of creation.

"Sister Diana, please wake up!"

Kara seized the opportunity, clenched her fists, and suddenly charged at Diana, slamming them heavily into the woman's abdomen, causing her to let out a muffled groan.

The Iceberg Restaurant was in complete chaos.

Outside the restaurant, lightning and red lights occasionally flashed across the night sky, while inside, Diana wielded swords and the Lasso of Truth as she fought against the Clark siblings.

The notoriously cunning Batman had already disappeared before the war even began.

"Well then, I should go and do what I need to do."

Gino also stood up, his gaze fixed on the monster that seemed to reach into the clouds in the distance.

"Barbatos!"

With a roar, Gino's figure flashed through the air, transforming into a streak of light that tore through the clouds, hurtling towards Barbatos: "You'll pay the price!"

As the boy roared, Barbatos also raised his claws.

The cold, violent dark lightning, like the night sky, arose from the claws.

"You insignificant insect, death is your only destiny!"

It threw out the dark lightning in its hand, and thousands of bolts of lightning pounced on Gino like roaring venomous snakes.

"Get out of here!"

A magnificent golden light shone in Gino's eyes as he formed a hand seal, creating a massive golden circular shield.

The dark lightning struck the light shield like raindrops splashing in a pool, creating large ripples.

"Don't even think about getting near my lord!"

Monsters with clown faces and snake bodies roared as they charged toward Gino.

"To be honest, your creators have terrible taste." Gino sneered, his eyes gleaming with a deep blue light as he faced the monsters flying in from all directions.

His body spun, causing his silver cloak to flutter wildly, and his ferocious, icy gaze froze all the monsters rushing towards him.

"Barbatos!"

Gino roared as the bio-field lifted him slowly into the sky.

"Is that all you've got?"

Gino opened his palms, and the power of dreams and the power of heaven manifested on his body, reflecting the boy in various colors and turning the dark sky into a boundless and magnificent golden light.

These violent spells, manipulated by Gino, intertwined and quickly transformed into a colossal, dazzling golden giant standing beneath the sky.

"Damn it! You want to fight me to the death, huh!?"

Barbatos clenched its claws, holding nothing back, flapping its wings and unleashing dark energy.

War,

At the touch of a hair.
