Chapter 295 Lionel's Passion
Chapter 295 Lionel's Passion
Standing amidst ruins.
Gino's face was gloomy and rather unpleasant.
None of my family members understand. I just went out for a walk and killed a few Batmen, but I never expected that my house would be smashed when I came back.
The laughing bat bullies my old age and weakness.
Well, now that it has happened, the first thing to consider is how to handle it.
In the silence, Lex raised his head, his face serious.
"I think we should still save people."
He had complex feelings toward his father. Although Lionel was a scoundrel who often tormented him mentally, feelings were not something that could be easily severed.
At the same time that everyone was discussing how to rescue Lionel,
Gino is also in contact with a mysterious figure, none other than Batman.
However, he wouldn't simply believe that the other person was Batman.
At this moment, through the singer, Gino is discussing with Batman in the holographic image.
The boy pinched his chin, gazing at Batman's face:
"Prove that you are Batman."
Upon hearing the boy's question, Batman on the other end of the phone paused, a slight twitch appearing at the corner of his mouth beneath his mask, and said, "You once held up three fingers to me when we first met."
"And the jokes he made when he broke my back in the sewer."
"Although those jokes weren't funny."
"Okay, now I can confirm that you are Batman." Gino quickly interrupted Batman. Although only he and Batman knew these things, it still made him feel a little embarrassed to hear it from Batman.
But that's enough to prove that the other party is Bruce from his own universe, and not some fake Dark Knight.
Ginobili shifts the topic:
"What did you gain in Gotham City?"
Hearing Gino's question, Batman looked around before replying, "The situation is bad. Barbatos has brought Diana here."
"And from what I've observed, he seems to intend to make some changes to Diana."
"And above the sky, there floated clown-shaped flying snakes created by Barbatos using the image of a clown."
"On the ground were a group of twisted monsters."
"And that dark metal tuning fork."
Bruce relayed the information he had gathered to Gino: "What are you planning to do?"
"Perhaps, the duel is imminent." Gino sighed and shared his information about the World Forge with Bruce.
"So you found an artifact that can harm that monster?" Bruce's solemn expression softened slightly, and he appeared more relaxed.
Having your trump card means you have a chance of winning.
Gino continued, "But first, we need a well-thought-out plan."
"I'll deal with that stupid donkey Barbatos, but the Bat of Laughter..."
"Leave it to me," Batman said, twisting his scarred chin. During his time in prison, that madman had tormented him quite a bit.
"Okay, based on my calculations, that guy will just run away before Barbatos falls."
"You need to pay attention to this."
"I see."
Batman nodded seriously and then hung up the phone.
The communication ended, and Gino snapped out of his reverie.
He turned to his brother and asked, "Have you decided?"
"It's decided."
Lex sighed and said, "He's still my father, no matter what. I have to save him."
"Alright." Gino smiled, his gaze sweeping over everyone as he said, "But before that, you need to be prepared."
As soon as he finished speaking, the young man snapped his fingers, activating his pocket magic. Countless streams of silver light whistled and dripped onto Fiona and the others. To their surprise, their uniforms shimmered with a silver glow, and a mysterious yet abundant power surged within them.
"What a powerful feeling!" Lex squinted as he watched the green armor turn into a bright silver. Although the color had changed, it was even more powerful than before.
This made him want to study this mysterious substance.
"Alright, now that everything's ready, let's go!"
Gino snapped his fingers, followed by Clark and Lex standing side by side, and behind them were Fiona and Kara.
"Justice League!"
Gino took a deep breath, snapped his fingers to open a spatial passage, and led everyone inside.
At the other end of the passage lies Gotham City.
Gotham City.
All was silent; as far as the eye could see, there was only ruin.
The air was thick with a grayish-black substance. In the city center stood a towering golden tower, upon which a gigantic humanoid monster coiled, its sharp claws dangling.
At this moment, the monsters were staring down at the man brought by their capable henchman, the Laughing Bat.
An old man with blond hair, wearing an expensive, disheveled suit, his face filled with terror.
The other person was muttering things like "Don't kill me" and "I have money."
"Who is this guy? He's not Gino!"
Hearing the dragon's words, Lionel immediately snapped out of his daze and hurriedly looked up at the dragon: "Yes, yes, I'm not Gino! I'm Lionel!"
Barbatos' eyes glowed red beneath his hood.
He stared at the maniacal laughter with a hostile expression, as if if the other party didn't give him a reasonable explanation, he might have to teach the maniacal laughter a lesson.
"Oh, my dear master, please don't be angry, let me explain."
The Laughing Bat had followed Barbatos for so long and knew the dragon's personality well.
He tugged at the chains binding Lionel, causing him to stumble: "This wretched old man is no ordinary person."
"He is Gino Luther's father, you should know the fragile emotions inherent in human beings."
"We can use this to threaten Gino and force him to join us!"
"And even if they don't agree, we can kill him and make Gino feel pain."
Barbatos raised a paw and hooked his chin, his red eyes flickering. After a moment of thought, he still felt that the Laughing Bat was right.
"Then let's leave him here."
Barbatos ignored Lionel, who was kneeling on the cold stone steps, shivering.
It tilted its head slightly, sensing several unusual presences in its own base camp.
"We have guests!"
Barbatos chuckled.
It then snapped its fingers lightly, making a sound as its two sharp claws rubbed together.
The next second, a spatial wormhole opened, and Diana, surrounded by dark energy, walked into this world expressionlessly.
"My master, the great Barbatos."
Diana knelt on one knee, her once bright blue eyes now filled with darkness.
"Diana, I order you to kill Gino!"
"Your wish!"
Without a word, the controlled Diana leaped lightly into the sky and flew towards the West Side of Gotham City.
