Chapter 209 Superman Has Gone Mad

Smallville, a small town.

It was evening.

The flames emanating from the Luther factory were like lamps lit in a silent ocean, almost as if they were igniting half the night sky.

The scientists, fleeing in disarray, formed a striking scene outside the factory.

"Whoosh."

When Gino appeared above the factory and looked at the burning laboratory, a blue light shone in the boy's eyes.

Ice and snow, accompanied by beams of freezing light, swept across the raging flames, and then, like a pair of invisible hands, extinguished the fire.

The flickering flames gradually subsided, and the once enormous factory was now completely charred black.

Shoes sank into the charred pavement, and the air around us was thick with acrid smoke.

"Phew." With a gentle blow, Gino blew out the smoke and strode toward the factory's underground laboratory.

With Bizarro around, he wasn't worried about Lex's safety.

With a single punch, he shattered the several-meter-thick steel door, revealing a wrecked laboratory in Gino's view.

The collapsed shelves and broken experimental bottles, the bat monster that was originally locked in the cage had long been burned into a charred piece in the instant of the explosion, its bizarre posture indicating its struggle and anger before death.

Gino leaped over the debris, his gaze landing on Bizarro in the corner.

Tall and muscular with charred, cracked skin, resembling a zombie, Bizarro was huddled in a corner, clutching a ripped lab coat, repeatedly muttering, "Bizarro, didn't catch him."

"Bizarro." Gino frowned slightly, crouched down, and shook the big guy's shoulders. "Where's Lex?"

"Uncle Gino?" Bizarro was brought back to his senses by Gino's call. His face, which resembled Clark's, was covered in snot and tears, making him look quite unsightly. He choked out, "B... Bizarro doesn't know."

"Blue light, devour, Lex, missed."

Bizarro kept repeating his words.

"You mean Lex was engulfed by the blue light explosion in the lab?"

Yes, yes.

Having roughly understood the cause and effect, Gino stood up, walked over to the Singer and the Cosmic Cube that had fallen in the corner, picked them up, and asked, "Singer, what happened?"

The singer's cold female voice responded: "An unknown energy intrusion forcibly opened a spatial passage inside the factory, and the spatial rift created by the energy may have taken Lex away."

"Tsk." Hearing the singer's response, Gino couldn't help but cover his head: "Can you detect the energy source?"

"Perhaps it has something to do with another universe that Lex had previously come into contact with. I advised Mr. Lex about it, but he ignored my advice."

"He really is that kind of person." Gino picked up the tattered white robe from the ground and squinted slightly.

But soon, the phone in his pocket rang again, and the factory workers informed Gino that Lex Luthor had been found.

"Found it?" Gino frowned. He had been swept away by the spatial rift but was suddenly found?

"Singer, I'll go check on Bizarro since he's staying here."

After saying that, Gino left the lab and returned to the factory, where he immediately saw Lex surrounded by a crowd.

That distinctive bald head, and that still-shaken face.

"Lex." Gino walked towards the crowd and stood before his brother.

He looked into Lex's eyes: "What happened?"

Lex's eyes were somewhat blank, but soon he grinned, revealing an ugly smile: "Actually, the experiment went wrong."

"Is that so?" Gino squinted, his gaze sweeping over Lex's nose and features until it landed on the intact lab coat covering Lex, confirming his suspicions.

"Let's go. Since everything's alright, come back to the castle with me."

"Oh, okay, sure."

Gino put his arm around Lex's shoulder familiarly, and the bald man did not resist, but stiffly followed Gino toward the castle.

The two distanced themselves from the noisy crowd.

The aftermath of the fire will naturally be handled by the company's professionals; Gino has much more important things to do.

The boy pulled Lex into the dense forest.

An oppressive atmosphere had somehow settled between the two of them.

Gino, expressionless, slowly tightened his grip on Lex's shoulder. The immense force was so strong it felt like it was about to crush his bones, causing Lex to groan and struggle frantically.

"You are not Lex."

Gino suddenly spoke, as if stating a mundane fact.

Their eyes met, and Lex could see only a chilling killing intent in Gino's eyes.

Without warning, in an instant, those steel-like fingers gripped Lex's neck tightly, lifting him into the air like a chick, then slamming him hard against a large tree trunk. His beautiful blue eyes were devoid of emotion, as if he were looking at a dead man. Gino stared at Lex and said, "Where did you put my brother?"

"I'm giving you a chance. If you cooperate, perhaps I can let you live."

Now, tell me the answer.

The slowly clenching fingers were like the Grim Reaper's scythe, and the suffocating feeling made Lex's cheeks flush red.

"You're a smart person, you should know this process: lack of oxygen, dizziness, incontinence, suffocation, and then death."

Watching the flushed face turn from red to purple, and the trembling arms pounding the tree trunk, the man's voice was almost squeezed out between clenched teeth: "I...I'll talk!"

"Heh." Gino chuckled, looking down at the bald man, and said, "First of all, your white coat is very clean."
