Horace woke up in his Simmons bed, sat at the dining table as usual, sipped a cup of silky hand-ground coffee, and took a bite of Brazilian sausage.

Wizards do have such news radio stations, though they don't use electricity, just like wizards' radios, which also don't use electricity and can be used at Hogwarts.
