A Certain Magical Hogwarts
Chapter 859 Bane, with a Universe in His Heart
Chapter 859 Bane, with a Universe in His Heart
As a tribe of centaurs, they lived deep within the Forbidden Forest.
The surrounding area is covered with dense vegetation and various traps to prevent other creatures from getting close.
Even when Tom threatened the Eight-Eyed Spider and launched a full-scale attack on Hogwarts in the Forbidden Forest, it didn't affect this place.
As intelligent beings, the centaurs have always considered themselves the masters of this land... and the only masters!
It's like the mermaid to the Black Lake.
Most intelligent beings can coexist peacefully with wizards.
For example, the mermaid tribe... Many kind-hearted mermaid girls work in Hogsmeade to support their families.
Although her foot massage business was shut down by the evil forces led by Tonks, and she could only go straight and marry an honest fish, she is still a model of harmonious coexistence.
The Little Mermaid tried every possible means to marry Cedric.
Even the fairies, after waging the Fairy Wars and gaining their rights, still coexist peacefully with the wizards in the form of Gringotts.
Centaurs are an exception.
They refused the Ministry of Magic's definition of "human" and continued to live as "beasts."
The Department of Magical Creature Management and Control has a centaur liaison office, but it is not actually used by any centaurs.
The magical world has half-Velves, half-fairies, half-giants... but never a centaur that is a hybrid of human and centaur.
With the rise of the new leader Bain, wizards have become increasingly alienated and rejected over the past decade or so.
Yes, he is a typical anti-witness.
But over the past three years, Bain could clearly sense that something was amiss.
The tribe was in turmoil, and many alchemical items and daily necessities belonging to the shamans appeared.
They're all deliberately keeping it from him!
He had, of course, investigated in secret and discovered that many of his clansmen were making secret deals with the wizards!
Bain was preparing to launch an attack in the next few days, but something even more outrageous happened.
Frenzer suddenly approached him to resign, saying that he had accepted Dumbledore's invitation... to become a Divination teacher at Hogwarts.
Thus, a standoff broke out.
In the darkness, all the torches were lit, illuminating the silver-white centaur in the center.
"Ferenze, you have betrayed your race and become a slave to humanity!" Bain shouted.
"Slaves?" Even surrounded, Ferenze showed no fear; he shook his head and said:
"I was just helping a wizard friend out."
"Help? You're betraying our knowledge and secrets to humanity!" Bane roared. "You've made a grave mistake!"
Ronan glanced anxiously into the distance, wondering why William hadn't arrived yet.
He couldn't help but interject:
"Ference may have meant well, Bain."
"In good faith! What does that have to do with us?!" Bain retorted angrily.
"The centaurs care about astrological prophecies! We don't need to be like donkeys, helping foolish humans!"
Ronan shook his head dismissively. The centaurs were living such a difficult life because they had always avoided contact with wizards because of Bane's ideas.
Look at those fairies, living such a comfortable life thanks to Gringotts.
With their exceptional divination skills, aren't centaurs even more sought after?
Ronan wanted to say something more, but Ferenczek said disappointedly:
"Bane, we can all see the anomaly; we know the Dark Lord has been resurrected."
We also saw that he was splitting apart, splitting into so many stars!
But sooner or later he will reclaim everything he has lost and put it all back together.
At that time, he will be powerful at all times, and a war will be inevitable.
"That's just a war between wizards, it has nothing to do with us centaurs!" Bain said angrily, straightening up.
Have we forgotten what our ancestors left us?
The universe is vast, and space and time are infinite.
What are humans? What are the Dark Lord, Dumbledore, and Stark? They're nothing but ants and dust.
We centaurs...embrace the universe!
"You're wrong, Bain!" Ferenz said firmly.
"As long as we live in this world, as long as we stand on this land, it is impossible to avoid that war."
Even if you don't go looking for it, it will eventually come looking for you.
The centaurs can't escape!
"So, you're determined to go to Hogwarts?" Bane slowly drew a greatsword.
"Yes, I must resist that guy. If necessary, I will stand with humanity," Ferenze said.
Bain, enraged, laughed:
"Very well, I have observed the stars and it appears that the centaurs may split apart and some will be driven from this land."
He said coldly, "I never expected that you were the centaur who stirred up the conflict."
But I will not allow you to leave alive, nor any member of your tribe who is with the wizard.
They all have to die!
"Kill him!"
Bain gave the order, but many of the centaurs around him looked at each other blankly or hesitated.
Fezeren was usually gentle and polite to his people.
Now they're suddenly ordering him to be killed?
"Bane, Ferenczez meant well..." Ronan interjected again.
"Ronan, you've been questioning my orders a lot lately!"
"What, you want to disobey my orders?!" Bane was furious.
"Many of you centaurs are making deals with wizards."
Just because I don't say anything doesn't mean I don't know. Do you also want to be expelled?!
Ronan looked fearless; of course he knew about Bain's investigation.
After all, the world has suffered under Bane for too long, and Ronan's spies are everywhere in the clan.
However, although Bane, as the leader, is showing signs of being sidelined, he still has quite a few loyal followers.
Under his intense gaze, they all drew their bows and arrows, aiming them at Ferenzé.
Some centaurs rushed toward him.
Bain gripped his greatsword, ready to chop off Ferenze's head in a moment to deter any lurking villains.
He made it clear today that he wanted to cleanse the tribe.
He also wanted to give Frenzer's horse head to Dumbledore... to tell him the consequences of interfering with the centaur tribe!
Hmph, do you really think I'm made of clay?
But at that moment, Bain's expression suddenly changed drastically.
The ground shook, and the distant rumble of thunderous hooves echoed.
A young wizard appeared, riding a beautiful chestnut-colored female centaur.
Fire Kiss's attire was also strange; her previously bare upper body was now clad in a silver fairy armor.
Her disheveled hair was combed into a ponytail and gently pulled by the young wizard as if it were a rein.
William clung to Firekiss's back, and even when they encountered towering walls, she didn't stop, but instead leaped high into the air.
William rose and fell with the horse's back, like a person breathing, creating a dynamic beauty that was pleasing to the eye.
All the horsemen stood frozen in place.
"Stop them!" Bain shouted, realizing what was happening.
But William had already raised his wand, and the three centaurs standing side by side in the front row suddenly went weak and fell heavily to the ground.
Countless people were thrown out by the magic, leaving a narrow passage.
Then a centaur raised a greatsword, and William produced a longsword in his left hand, which merely sparked a few lines on the opponent's weapon before sliding away.
The centaur's greatsword was cut in two as easily as if it were tofu.
Bain was furious. His eyes widened, and his hands, gripping the greatsword, trembled uncontrollably, veins bulging.
He watched helplessly as Stark repeatedly leaped past him and appeared beside Ferenczer!
This is outrageous! They're trying to deceive Heaven!

Sorry, I fell asleep last night and the update is late.
After returning home, I find myself dealing with many trivial matters, so from now on, the first chapter will most likely be written around 7 or 8 PM, and the second chapter around midnight.
This way I have time to write late at night.
