A Certain Magical Hogwarts

Chapter 834 That's about enough.

Chapter 834 That's about enough.

Seeing the expectant looks in Harry and Ron's eyes, Hagrid took a sip of tea to perk himself up and began to tell his story.

"At the end of the semester, I boarded Durmstrang's ship and went to France to pick up Orim..."

"Isn't Karkaroff a Death Eater?" Harry couldn't help but interject.

"He's on our side now, so let's not talk about Death Eaters anymore," Hagrid said sternly.

After the holiday, Hagrid had a fairly good impression of the Durmstrang principal.

Especially during the avalanche, Karkaroff did not abandon his students; instead, he led them to fight the giants and hid in a cave.

When Hagrid and Karkaroff were talking, he even inexplicably thought of Sirius Black.

Unfortunately, he got a mission; William told him he was going to Siberia to dig potatoes.

"We traveled along the Rhine River, and in Vienna, William and Hermione disembarked."

"Why did they disembark in Vienna instead of going with you to find the giants?" Ron asked, puzzled.

"Of course, it's to attend the International Wizarding Congress," Harry explained. "Ron, have you forgotten? The newspapers said they saved Vienna."

"Oh, I remember now," Ron said suddenly.

Hagrid moved the dragon meat around to cover the worst wounds.

"We continued against the current and finally found those giants in the Alps."

"They were there, with a small campfire and huge shadows...like the mountains were moving."

"How big is it?" Ron asked, holding his breath.

"About twenty feet," Hagrid said casually. "The larger ones might be twenty-five feet."

"How many people?" Harry asked.

"Not many left," Hagrid said sadly. "There used to be many, at least a hundred tribes all over the world, but they have gradually disappeared."

Of course, the wizard killed some, and some were killed by each other.

Dumbledore said it was our fault; the wizards had driven them to a faraway place, and they had no choice but to stay together to survive.

But when they gathered together, the fighting became even more intense.

"And then?" Harry asked quickly.

"Dumbledore told us what to do," Hagrid said, "to give gifts to giants as a sign of respect."

"We went to the largest tribe, whose chief was Kakus. I estimate he was about twenty-three feet tall, weighed as much as two male elephants, and had skin like a rhinoceros."

"Just as Dumbledore had instructed, he held the gift high, his eyes fixed on Karkus, ignoring everyone else."

And so, the others quieted down and watched us walk over. We went all the way to Kakus's feet, bowed, and placed the gift before him.

"What gift are you giving the giant?" Ron asked with interest. "Food?"

"No, it's alcohol... industrial alcohol with a lot of methanol added, prepared by William, which the giants like..." Hagrid explained.

"We also prepared other gifts to give to Kakus the next day."

His tone suddenly turned sorrowful.

"But things went wrong that night."

"What do you mean?" Ron asked hastily.

"Dumbledore warned us that the Mystic was also searching for giants and may have already sent messengers."

He instructed us to be extremely careful in that area, not to expose ourselves, and to be wary of Death Eaters nearby.

Hagrid stopped and took a big gulp of tea.

"Orem and I wanted to stay and see if there were any Death Eaters, but they actually came."

Hagrid sighed deeply.

"A fierce fight broke out that night. What we saw at the cave entrance was that the snow was all red, and his head was broken off."

"Whose head?" Harry asked in surprise.

"Kakus's," Hagrid said gravely. "Gorgomas killed Kakus."

Harry and Ron gasped; they hadn't expected finding a giant to be so dangerous... and there was even the risk of a firefight.

"The tall horse was very robust, with black hair, big black teeth, and wore a bone necklace, some parts of which looked like human bones," Hagrid said unhappily.

"But he had already surrendered to Mystic, and he was accompanied by Death Eaters, who spotted us immediately..."

Harry asked anxiously, "How did you manage to escape?"

"We ran all the way into the cave..." Hagrid said.

"Finally, we came to a narrow stone bridge, where we were entangled by the giants and nearly died..."

Harry clenched his fists, nervously asking, "And then?"

Hagrid stroked his beard and said with a gentle smile, "William has arrived. He took the initiative to cover the rear and held off all the giants."

"Alone?" Ron asked incredulously.

"Yes, William single-handedly held off so many giants and even killed the tall horse."

The battle between the two caused the collapse of the Jungfrau and a massive avalanche…

Harry and Ron listened intently, their eyes filled with fervor, adoration, awe, and envy.

Harry was alright; he had witnessed William's battle with Voldemort.

I don't think it would be surprising if William did anything.

He was just disappointed that, even though they were both students and he was only a year younger than the other person, the difference in their ages was so great.

While Ron was filled with envy, he also thought that it would be great if he could do such a world-shaking thing in William's place.

Hagrid was pondering: How should he explain this to William?

After this trip to the Alps, Hagrid felt no less awe and respect for William than he did for Dumbledore.

Before leaving, William instructed him not to be reckless and to act cautiously.

But he brought his younger brother back without permission! That's hard to explain.

The three of them fell silent for a moment, so much so that they didn't hear the knocking at the door.

Tooth, who was still stealing dragon meat, smelled the familiar scent, so he wagged his tail and ran to the door, where he pried open the crack in the door.

Hagrid suddenly realized what was happening and cautiously walked towards the door.

"Hagrid, it's Hermione and me!" William's voice came through.

Hagrid was pale and did not answer, preparing to pretend he was not home.

But Hermione's voice rang out again.

"Hagrid, I know you're home. Open the door now."

Well... Hagrid had no choice but to open the door.

William and Hermione walked in and saw Harry and Ron inside.

William wasn't surprised at all; he had already seen their names on the Hogwarts map.

"William, you've come at just the right time. I just got back too," Hagrid laughed.

"Really?" William asked with a half-smile. "Hibiscus wrote to me a few days ago, saying you should have arrived long ago."

Hagrid's heart sank.

Upon seeing William, Harry and Ron were dazzled, their eyes filled with fervor and adoration.

William was somewhat puzzled, but simply nodded and found a seat. Hermione sat down beside him.

"Harry, Ron, you two go back first." Hagrid cleared his throat.

"Why do we have to leave?" Harry asked, frowning.

"You should go back to sleep, it's very late," Hagrid said.

"We want to hear whatever you say!" Ron said stubbornly.

"Secret... a secret of the Order of the Phoenix, neither of you can know!" Hagrid mumbled.

"Then why can Hermione hear it?" Ron said angrily. "She's not a member of the Order of the Phoenix either."

Hermione raised her eyebrows slightly.

"She's been through just as much as most people in Order of the Phoenix," Hagrid explained, "and perhaps even more."

If you can get that many medals, I'll let you hear them too.

Ron was speechless.

That's enough... Can you please stop mocking people like that?

If he could get it, would he still be sitting here?

They should have gone to cause trouble for the mysterious person long ago.

Ron couldn't help but think.

Urged on by Hagrid, the two had no choice but to leave the cabin.

Once a short distance from the cabin, Harry suddenly grabbed Ron's robe and said:

"Wait, you're not just going to leave like this, are you?"

"What, are we supposed to wait for William and Hermione to come out?" Ron said indignantly. "They won't tell us."

You see, we wouldn't know the story of the Alps if it weren't for Hagrid.

They kept it a closely guarded secret...

Harry pulled out his Invisibility Cloak and chuckled, "Let's sneak over and listen."

Ron chuckled and nodded.

The two put on their clothes and tiptoed toward the windowsill of the cabin.

boom,

The wooden door suddenly opened, and Ya Ya rushed out.

Following the scent, it lunged at the two men's groin, baring its teeth and biting.

Harry and Ron yelled and hurriedly ran towards the castle.
