Chapter 833 Hagrid Runs Away with the Ball
Chapter 833 Hagrid Runs Away with the Ball
Hagrid is back... sneaking into the village.
He didn't notify anyone, not even Dumbledore of the specific time he would return.
They arrived in an extremely secretive and discreet manner.
Why is he being so low-key? It's because he has a... child with him!
It's not a case of running away while pregnant, nor is it a child born abroad; it's a child raised jointly without marital ties.
It's his mother's fault.
This is not a swear word, but a statement of fact.
He really is Hagrid's mother's child—by blood, he is Hagrid's half-brother, the giant.
Hagrid didn't dare to say it yet. After all, there was nothing more explosive to attract his attention, so how could he just blurt it out?
He first hid his giant brother in the Forbidden Forest, and then secretly returned to the cabin he had left long ago.
I haven't seen Ya Ya in a long time. She hasn't lost weight; in fact, she's gained weight.
This must have been fed by William, Hermione, and Anne.
Only the three of them would feed their pets like pigs.
Just look at Boba Tea, it's gotten so fat it's practically a ball.
Hagrid entered the house; he hadn't been back for six months, but the room was spotless.
Without a doubt, it was Cedric who helped with it.
Cedric does good deeds anonymously, so how did Hagrid know?
Details matter.
Not to mention the unicorn hair used to hang dried salted fish, even the fan made from Thestral tail hair... is gone!
And you still say it wasn't Cedric who cleaned it?!
There was also a vase on the windowsill, with a bunch of bright red flowers inside—a zhang-long red.
This must have been done in the autumn; she wanted to keep the room smelling fresh.
Hagrid pulled out his handkerchief and sneezed, deeply moved.
What a good girl! How did she know she was allergic to pollen?
Hagrid wandered around for a moment, then sat down on the edge of the bed.
How should I tell William and the others about my brother?!
It's hard to say.
After all, it wasn't a three-headed dog, a fire dragon, or a blast-tailed snail... it was a giant!
A volatile giant.
Bang bang bang!
A knock came at the door.
The dog barked wildly, and Hagrid quickly covered its mouth and turned off the light.
He tiptoed to the door and peered out through the peephole.
There was no one outside.
"It's both of us, Hagrid!" Harry's voice came.
Hagrid breathed a sigh of relief; as long as it wasn't William and Hermione, that was fine.
The door creaked open with the sound of the latch being pulled, and Hagrid's head peeked out from the crack.
He laughed, "I've only been back for three seconds and you two are already here... Move aside, Ya Ya... Move aside, you little fat black guy..."
Harry lifted the Invisibility Cloak, and Ron hugged him from behind, the two of them squeezing inside.
"We just saw the light in your room in the common room," Harry said excitedly.
"Hurry up and come in, don't let anyone see us!" Hagrid looked like he had a guilty conscience.
After the two entered the house, he quickly closed the door and drew all the curtains to prevent the light from escaping.
"What did you do?!" Harry exclaimed, recognizing Hagrid's face in the lamplight. He was utterly astonished.
His hair was a mess, covered in blood clots, his left eye was swollen into a slit, and it was blue and purple. His face and hands were covered in wounds.
Some of them were still bleeding. He was moving very carefully, and Harry suspected that some of his ribs might be broken.
Hagrid didn't speak, but limped toward the fireplace and placed a copper kettle on the fire.
"What happened to you?" Harry asked anxiously. "Did you run into Death Eaters?"
"Or perhaps they were attacked by the Ministry of Magic?" Ron guessed.
"No, I'm fine." Hagrid changed the subject. "Would you like a cup of hot tea? I brought some back from abroad."
"Forget it," Ron said, glaring at Hagrid. "Look at you!"
"I told you I'm fine, I just fell by accident!" Hagrid said, straightening up and turning to smile at them, but wincing in pain.
"What could have caused you to fall like that? Were you attacked?" Harry persisted.
"I'm saying this one last time, I'm fine!" Hagrid insisted.
"If one of our faces were swollen like this, would you say it's okay?"
"Alright, how have you two been lately?"
Harry and Ron exchanged a glance and fell silent.
Of course, things weren't going well.
Since being suspended after that match, Harry has been fine, but Ron has been under immense public pressure.
Wherever he went, students pointed and whispered about him... and the more this happened, the more he lost the ball during training.
Ron really wanted to quit Quidditch, but Harry and the twins were suspended... If he quit, the team would be truly empty!
Harry glanced at Ron's expression and changed the subject:
"Hagrid, you should have Mrs. Pomfrey take a look at you. Your face looks dangerous."
"I'll handle it, okay?" Hagrid interrupted.
He walked to the huge wooden table in the middle of the cabin, lifted a tea towel off the table, revealing a piece of raw, bloody meat, greenish-blue, slightly larger than an ordinary car tire.
"You're not going to eat that, are you, Hagrid?" Ron leaned closer to take a look and said with disgust, "It looks poisonous."
"Are you insane, Ron?" Hagrid said, displeased.
"How could I possibly eat dragon meat? I love those poor little darlings too much to ask!"
As a dog lover... I mean, a dragon lover, Hagrid strongly condemns this!
"Then where did you get the dragon meat?" Harry asked curiously.
"Akali's Mysterious Shop also has a branch in France," Hagrid said. "They have dragon meat in their store, which is a very important magical ingredient."
When I passed by, William's little friend... named Fleur, gave me some.
This stuff works really well for pain relief.
"Hibiscus...is she in France?" Ron's eyes lit up as he thought of the beautiful Veela.
"What is she doing?"
"She runs the Paris branch of Akali's Mystery Shop; she's the manager."
"Of course, I also have my own tasks..." Hagrid mumbled.
"Fleur is already a member of the Order of the Phoenix?" Harry asked in surprise.
"Pretty much. William is a member of the Order of the Phoenix, so he can recommend her... In fact, he recommended Fleur as well," Hagrid explained.
"They have a very good relationship, so their loyalty is definitely guaranteed."
"What kind of mission is she on?" Ron asked.
"I'm not quite sure, it was William who gave her the task..." Hagrid said vaguely.
Ron wanted to ask more questions, but Hagrid told him to ask William instead.
Ron thought to himself, "If William told me, would I still need to ask you?"
"Can you tell us what happened to you?" Harry asked after thinking for a moment.
"No, this is confidential too, I can't tell you two."
"If you don't tell me, I'll go find Dumbledore and ask him what kind of job he'll give you!" Harry said angrily.
"Look at you now, beaten up like this!"
His tone was filled with resentment.
Why can't he know these things?
"Okay, don't go... whatever you do, don't tell them, especially William and Hermione," Hagrid said anxiously.
Harry and Ron exchanged a glance, wondering why Hagrid was so afraid of William and Hermione finding out.
Hagrid glared at them, then snorted, threw the dragon meat back on the table, and walked over to the whirring kettle.
He muttered to himself as he poured the boiling water into three bucket-shaped cups.
"I'm not talking about you two, this really isn't something little wizards like you should know..."
He picked up his cup and whispered:
"I'm going to find the giants."
"A giant?" Harry stared at him in shock.
"What do they look like?" Ron asked impatiently. "Have you found them?"
"Of course, although we encountered some trouble..." Hagrid said, "we still found it."
Where are they?
"From the mountains." Hagrid continued to pick up the dragon meat and apply it to his left cheek. Green blood dripped onto his beard, and he hummed with satisfaction.
"Then why didn't the Muggles discover it...?"
"It's not that they didn't," Hagrid said in a low voice, "but their deaths are always attributed to mountaineering accidents."
Didn't you read newspapers during summer vacation?
The Alps... Jungfrau collapsed.
Ron looked like he'd just realized something and quickly said:
"I saw it. The news said it was William who collapsed it, but it turns out it was the giants who collapsed it."
"I knew it! He went to Vienna with Hermione, how could he possibly sabotage Switzerland?"
"No, it was William who collapsed it." Hagrid shook his head and said seriously:
William fought a great battle with the giants, killing many giants and saving many wizards.
That battle was incredibly fierce; an entire mountain peak was snapped in half.
"This... how is this possible..." Ron's heart was filled with shock.
He had also read the newspapers and knew that William had fought with the mysterious man. Harry had also told him about the battle that day.
But he still couldn't imagine what kind of magic could break a mountain in half.
That's a power that no wizard could possibly possess!
"How could it be impossible? I was there that night and witnessed the whole thing," Hagrid said reverently.
"The giants still hold him in great awe."
He used to only show this expression to Dumbledore.
"Hagrid, tell us what happened?" Harry asked eagerly.
When William and Hermione returned, they didn't tell them about these bizarre and amazing adventures.
Harry is really interested!
To be honest, if he could, he would love to take Hermione's place and go on adventures around the world with William, instead of being stuck at home during the summer vacation!
I just wish I weren't Harley Quinn... otherwise I really would have gone and fought Hermione for William!
