Chapter 644 William, I do!

Chapter 644 William, I Do! (Third Update)

William and Anne walked down the corridor toward the eighth floor.

After waiting for a long time without receiving a reply, the girl looked up at her brother who was ignoring her.

She hugged William's arm and asked sweetly, "Brother, do you have a dance partner?"

Seeing his sister staring at him expectantly, William finally replied, "I haven't invited her yet, what's wrong?"

Anne swung her arms and pleaded, "Then can you invite Gabrielle?"

"Hmm?" William glanced at Anne, puzzled.

"She's too young, nobody invites her," Anne said.

Gabrielle was indeed not invited.

She is undeniably adorable; she's a complete spitting image of Furong when she was a child.

But she's too young, not even in first grade, she's definitely a little girl.

Those wizards who are able to invite younger students are all over fourteen years old.

They weren't interested in young children like Gabrielle; they preferred seventeen-year-old adult witches.

The first-year wizards, who weren't much older than Gabrielle, couldn't invite her either.

Because I wasn't even qualified to attend the ball.

So, on the other hand, does William look like someone who's into lolicon?

Of course he couldn't invite Gabrielle.

He's not a pervert!

If he really took Gabrielle to the Christmas ball, then it wouldn't just be Hermione who would kill him; Fleur might also be among them.

Therefore, William... refused.

"Hey, you said it! If you don't invite her, someone else will, and you might regret it." Annie pouted.

"What do I regret?" William asked, bewildered. "If I were to invite Gabrielle, I might as well have invited Fleur directly."

"Oh, you said that too!" Anne exclaimed.

"Don't talk nonsense!"

William glanced around, making sure no one was listening in. But he suddenly noticed that more and more students were gathering around.

There were more boys among them.

William wondered... Could it be that he, like Cedric, had started having affairs with both men and women?

"So, brother..." Annie blinked, looking curious.

Who will you invite as your date?

"Is it Hermione or... Fleur? Or, that Daphne?"

Who would you like me to invite?

"Gabrielle!"

William rolled his eyes at Anne, ruffled the girl's hair, and asked with a smile, "Then let's put it another way, who do you think will be your sister-in-law in the future?"

Anne hesitated for a moment, then quickly and decisively said, "Hermione!"

"You've never really liked her, have you?" William asked curiously. "I didn't like her from the first time we met."

Forgot?

That summer, I got Hermione's book dirty and didn't even apologize.

"Can we not talk about things from when we were kids?" Annie rolled her eyes.

"Then tell me, why do you think it's Hermione?"

"I'm not telling you!" Annie gave a mysterious smile.

She was probably the first person to discover Hermione's feelings, even before her brother.

Before starting school, Anne slept in the same bed with Hermione when she came to the house.

After her blanket was snatched away in the middle of the night, Annie woke up and couldn't fall back asleep. She'd listened to someone talking in their sleep for most of the night.

It's all my brother's name!!

Then another summer came, and the brother and Hermione suddenly stayed in Paris.

When they met again, the perceptive Anne realized that she probably wouldn't be able to get rid of Hermione in this lifetime.

Therefore, from any perspective, Anne felt that her brother would be entangled with Hermione for the rest of his life.

"So, you invited Hermione?" Anne asked suddenly. "To the ball?"

"Not yet." William shook his head.

"Then hurry up and go!" she urged. "What are you waiting for?"

William looked speechlessly at his sister, who was tilting her head, then bent his finger and gently tapped her forehead.

"You just asked me to invite Gabrielle."

"I never expected you to agree," Anne said matter-of-factly. "I just came to give you a heads-up."

William, not quite understanding Anne's meaning, asked again, "And you? Has anyone invited you?"

"Are you kidding me?" Annie scoffed. "The line of people who invited me could stretch all the way to Hogsmeade Village."

William said warily, "I need to be vetted. I can't just invite any random nobody."

As they were talking, a fourth-grade boy walked over.

William thought the person was coming to see him, but to his surprise, the man didn't even look at him, instead staring directly at Anne and excitedly saying:

"Miss Stark, may I ask you to be my dance partner?"

Annie glanced at her brother, a sly smile spreading across her face, before quickly suppressing it and saying:

"I'm sorry, I can't agree to that."

"Why?" The boy was extremely disappointed. "Am I not good enough? I just heard that you like boys who are good at French."

I have a genuine Parisian accent, and I'm also fluent in Italian and Russian... If you ever travel there in the future, I can be your translator.

"No, I just... well, I don't like boys in fourth grade who haven't gotten their OWLS certificates yet."

"..."

William stared at Anne in astonishment.

That reason for rejection... is absolutely brilliant.

He suddenly felt a little sorry for the group of boys queuing up in front of him.

It's not that you're not good enough, it's that Annie's standards are too high.

……

The House of Requirement

The room was decorated in a unique way, with various crucibles placed in the corners, all of which were potions that he usually brewed in his spare time.

There are also rows of bookshelves filled with various books, making it look like a small library.

A house that grants every request will naturally grant every request.

This room has been set up so that "only William and Hermione can enter"... and it has been there for several years.

William pushed open the door and quietly walked in without making a sound.

He looked up and saw Hermione sitting on the down sofa in the middle of the room, writing something with her head down and a pen on the table.

He walked over and sat down next to the girl.

Hermione pretended not to see and continued writing rapidly while muttering something under her breath.

He glanced at her out of the corner of his eye and noticed that she was using the parchment she usually practiced cursing on.

William quickly said, "Even if you hate Ron, you don't have to curse him, do you?"

Hermione glared at him and exclaimed, "Who cursed him?!"

William smiled and said, "Alright, don't be angry. I know there was something wrong with what he said. I'll find someone to smear him right now, so he can't find a girlfriend, okay?"

Hermione gently put down the quill and snorted:

Do boys only like pretty girls? And find ugly girls repulsive?

Do you think the same way?

"I didn't," William said calmly, looking Hermione straight in the eye. "Don't generalize, I'm innocent."

"Innocent?" Hermione lightly tapped her fist on the table, wrinkled her delicate nose, and snorted coldly:

"Many of the girls who surrounded you and invited you to the dance must have been very pretty, right?"

"Tsk tsk... I just glanced at them a few times when I passed by, and I thought they were all pretty."

She said sourly:

"I called you several times, but you didn't hear me. You were too busy talking to those girls."

Are you overwhelmed by the choices?

William sighed softly.

He finally understood that Ron's words meant nothing. The witches surrounding William at noon were the real source of Hermione's anger.

Especially when she passed by and tried to call William to leave, he was incredibly audacious and didn't even hear her!

Hermione was so angry she had a stomachache.

Ron, unfortunately, ran right into the line of fire and got a beating.

Thinking of this, William smiled gently and said, "Oh, now that you mention it, I do remember a few beautiful witches... what were their names again?"

Hermione responded with an "oh," pretending not to care.

She looked at the parchment on the table, her anger turning into a pitiful expression, like a young girl abandoned by a heartless man.

William suddenly craned his neck and looked down at the parchment.

Hermione quickly covered the parchment with her hands, her face flushed, and said, "Don't look! Don't look!"

William said with a smile:

"Is the only thing he said 'William is an idiot'? No one cursed me, or called me a pervert or anything like that?"

Hermione bent over the table, looked up, and said angrily, "You're a pervert!"

Just as William reached for the parchment, she suddenly bit his wrist.

But I didn't dare to actually bite him, afraid of hurting him.

William reached out with his left hand to tickle Hermione, but she quickly gave in and the parchment was snatched away.

The girl snorted a few times, kicked off her shoes, sat cross-legged on the sofa, and refused to look at the boy.

William put the paper back on the table, then suddenly hugged Hermione's soft body from behind and took a deep sniff.

Hermione's body trembled slightly, and her breathing became rapid.

He whispered softly in her ear:

"Hermione, I'd like to ask you to be my date. Would you like to?"

The girl leaned against William's chest, her eyes closed, biting her thin, luscious lips, as if they would bleed if she bit them too hard.

A moment later, Hermione turned around, lay in his arms, and let out a long, trembling "Mmm," before saying:

"William, I do!"
