A Certain Magical Hogwarts

Chapter 571 Snake meat, to eat or not?

Chapter 571 Snake meat, to eat or not?

As the official mascot of the Norwegian Quidditch team, the Lake Selma Monster lives a life of luxury.

After all, they've been recruited, so their status is different now. They've got national team certification and the Ministry of Magic's stamp.

Similar to Dementors, they are also beasts within the system, receiving special allowances from the Ministry of Magic.

Their only job is to go out and perform for the public every four years.

The number of times they get to appear depends on how well the Norwegian Quidditch team performs. If they don't, they might only get to go abroad once every eight years.

Even some national team mascots never get to leave the country even once in their entire lives.

It's been a bit unusual lately. Norway lost a long time ago, and it hasn't had a chance to shine in front of its former rivals.

Tonight, the magic on the artificial pool that had trapped it suddenly vanished. It simply swaggered out of it.

But that's not the problem... It had barely slid out of the camp when it was attacked by a group of wizards.

Oh, wizard... what arrogance!

I am the Sea Serpent Master!

The ill-tempered monster of Lake Selma was enraged. In its rage, it began an indiscriminate attack.

Others noticed the lone rider, and the snake, having spent a long time at the bottom of the lake and with somewhat deteriorated eyesight, also noticed it thanks to its unique iris.

However, its attention was more focused on the majestic talisman horse than on the young wizard on it.

It hasn't eaten the Divine Horse yet... It smells good... Hmm, there's even the smell of dragon blood... Wait...

The aroma of malt!

Pay attention!

As for William on the talisman, the lake monster, being rather arrogant and conceited, regarded him as an appetizer on the cake.

The lake monster's tragedy lies in the fact that it never reads newspapers and is unaware that William had recently killed an entity many times more dangerous than itself.

What's even more unknown is that after William's series of titles comparable to Daenerys Targaryen's, people added the suffix "Dragon Slayer".

This is not its fault; it is a tragedy caused by poor communication.

Therefore, eat less snacks and read more newspapers... these are wise sayings.

William had no idea that the lake monster had mistaken him for Cherry. He simply rode off on horseback without hesitation.

Mr. Weasley was somewhat flustered when he saw William rush over.

The child was still an underage wizard, only a year older than his youngest son, Ron.

He knew William was very famous, but if something happened to him, he would never be able to face Dumbledore and the Starks again.

As the head of the Auror office, Scrimgeour should, by all accounts, have continued his momentum and surged forward.

But for some reason, when he saw the young wizard he had been eyeing for years and had always wanted to recruit as an Auror begin a straight-line sprint, he froze and forgot to give the order.

Not only him, but also the dozen or so Aurors behind him were slightly stunned. Tonks was even more astonished, and his hair involuntarily turned a pale white.

William rose and stood on his horse, his feet firmly planted as if on a fast-moving crossbow bolt.

He suddenly leaped up, his body lunging forward, and at the moment he reached his highest point and his speed dropped to zero, he abruptly shifted into another form.

He stood on the lake monster's head, his steps light and graceful, exuding an indescribable freehand charm.

A sword thrust down.

Unfortunately, the sword Dumbledore made could easily break through even the basilisk's defenses, but when it pierced the lake monster, it was like a needle piercing through iron.

It cannot be pushed in even a fraction of an inch.

The longsword curved into a striking arc, almost like a full moon.

Unable to deal with the lake monster using the same methods he used to kill the snake monster, William immediately changed his tactics.

A thunderbird pierced through the thick clouds, letting out a cry, while several thick bolts of lightning flashed wildly around it.

In the blink of an eye,

The rain fell rapidly.

The loud, pattering sounds were like raindrops the size of soybeans hitting the tents in the camp.

William summoned the Thunderbird, which, as a tool bird, naturally had its uses.

The sea serpent sensed the tiny worm on its forehead, and it jerked its body high, throwing William directly out.

It spewed out a thin stream of water from its mouth, and the whistling sound instantly drowned out the sound of wind and rain.

The gray sky and earth were cut in two, with faint silver lines slicing through the rain curtain like cutting tofu, coming in a swift motion.

William pointed his wand downwards, tilting his body in mid-air, narrowly avoiding the killing intent.

The ground was not so lucky, as it was torn open by the waterline, leaving a deep, invisible trench.

William vanished into thin air, then reappeared on the Divine Horse in a phantom form.

The divine talisman horse has already spread its wings and taken flight, getting closer and closer to the dark cloud in the sky.

William raised his wand high, and lightning created by the Thunderbird suddenly fell from the sky.

The lightning, like a long whip, fiercely slashed and cut through the air, shooting towards the lake monster as easily as slicing tofu.

It roared, its tail slammed into the ground, tearing off huge rocks that hurtled towards the lightning.

William's wand traced a light stroke, and his whip swiftly rose, shattering the massive boulder that had come hurtling through the air.

All the wizards retreated, moving away from the center of the battle.

Not killed by the lake monster, but ultimately crushed to death by falling rocks... that doesn't sound good either.

When the Ministry of Magic reports a work-related injury, should it be reported as a work-related injury or an accidental death?

The divine horse soared through the air, and William gained air superiority.

He tapped his wand gently downwards. Once, then again. Five times in total.

Five bolts of lightning pierced through the clouds and struck straight down, hitting him on the head.

But five meters away from him, it suddenly stopped, leaving behind a dazzling light.

Sparks flew wildly, illuminating William's face and making him appear almost divine to onlookers.

The lake monster stared at William, seemingly wary, then filled with boundless rage, and then... cowered.

It opened its mouth wide and spewed out a large jet of water, attempting to create a small lake.

William's once pristine robe, even with the protective spell covering it, began to show cracks, and his bangs flew wildly in the wind.

He used his magic to attract all the lightning summoned by the Thunderbird.

But at this point, he was already losing control of this power.

William swung his wand downwards, and blue lightning crashed down like a raging flood!

To everyone's eyes, the blue lightning bolt exploded brilliantly, spreading and flowing across the earth like a broken water vat.

In an instant, the small lake created by the lake monster became a boiling pot of water, with countless white mists rising up and obscuring everyone's view.

The lake monster frantically burrowed towards the ground... but it clearly didn't understand physics.

Activating electricity into the water is like blasting fish. The lake monster had nowhere to hide, and it immediately froze.

Then, the enormous body began to twist and thrash violently.

However, this is already the natural contraction of the muscles caused by the sudden and intense stimulation of the nerve cells after the loss of the central nervous system.

Clap clap clap!

For a moment, it looked like a drilling machine was being used.

The fog obscured their vision, and no one knew what was happening; they only assumed that William was fighting the lake monster.

Some with a wilder imagination even pictured William grabbing the lake monster by the tail, swinging the forty-meter-long creature around.

A moment later, William emerged from the smoke.

A ring of snake meat hung from the longsword in his hand, emitting an enticing aroma.

It's obviously cooked through.

He saw officials from the British Ministry of Magic, he saw Aurors, and he also saw officials from the Norwegian Ministry of Magic.

He merely flicked his longsword and asked softly:

"Um... this gift, want some? It smells delicious!"
