Chapter 36 Louie the Three-Headed Dog

Chapter 36 Lou Williams the Cerberus

On Saturday morning, William, Cedric, and Autumn left the castle and walked across the fields toward the Forbidden Forest.

Hagrid lived in a small cabin on the edge of the Forbidden Forest, with a stone bow and a pair of rubber overshoes in front of the door.

On Thursday, William received a letter from Hagrid, inviting him to a small gathering at the cabin and to pet Cerberus.

So William brought Cedric along, and Cho was also brought over by Cedric.

When William knocked on the door, he heard a tense struggle and a few low barks from inside.

Then Hagrid's voice came through: "Back up, Toothpick, back up!"

Hagrid opened the door a crack, revealing his large, bearded face.

Hagrid, without using engine oil to style his hair, looked much more normal, though still rugged.

"Wait a minute," he said. "Step back, Tooth."

Haigra opened the door and let the three of them in, while desperately grabbing the collar of a huge black hunting dog.

The dog was enormous and looked incredibly intimidating. William quickly tossed out a small dried fish, which broke free from Hagrid's large hand, bit into, and swallowed. It then stuck out its tongue, drooling, waiting for the dried fish to finish.

William pulled a package from his pocket, then took out his wand and said, "Grow bigger quickly!"

He took out a large bag of dried fish from the enlarged package and placed it on the table. He also opened a can of pet-specific beef jerky and placed it on the ground.

Yaya wagged its tail and charged over.

Several people looked at William with strange eyes. Who carries such a thing with them?

William explained, "These are snacks from Boba Tea. Since it can't finish them all, I'm giving them to Ya Ya."

Qiu couldn't help but say, "Your cats really eat very fine food."

Qiu still remembers how Bobo Tea complained about her lunch on the train!

Hagrid asked, "By the way, where's the Boba tea? I can't find it."

"It's been too traumatized lately and went to Mrs. Lorris to help with its psychological trauma," William shrugged.

Ever since that Transfiguration class, Bobocha now avoids Professor McGonagall whenever she sees her.

Professor McGonagall's tabby cat form broke the fragile heart of a young kitten!

"This is incredible!" Hagrid exclaimed in astonishment.

"Mrs. Lorris is that old idiot Filch's pet, you know? Every time I go to school, she follows me everywhere, and I can't shake her off. It must be Filch who makes her do that."

"I really wanted to introduce her to my YaYa, but since BoBoTea and she get along well, I guess I'll pass."

Hagrid was quite disappointed; he felt extremely sorry for Tooth, while the silly dog was still wagging its tail and wolfing down beef chunks.

The cabin had only one room. Hams and pheasants hung from the ceiling, a copper kettle was boiling water in a brazier, and a large bed with quilts pieced together from scraps of cloth sat in the corner.

The three of them sat down on the bench.

"This is Autumn," Cedric introduced to Hagrid.

"Oh, hello." Hagrid hurriedly extended his hand.

Qiu wasn't afraid and generously took Hagrid's hand in hers.

Hagrid was overjoyed. He laughed and said, "You guys definitely haven't had breakfast yet, have you?"

He stood up and poured boiling water into a large teapot while placing the rock-skin cakes onto the plate.

He picked off some more crumbs and put them into Ya Ya's can, which Ya Ya pushed out with her nose.

The rock-skin cakes almost broke William and the others' teeth, but all three pretended to love them.

Fortunately, Boba Tea wasn't here, otherwise the scene would have been quite awkward.

After finishing the canned food, Ya Ya brought its head closer and rested it on William's lap, its drool soaking a large patch of his robe.

William stopped giving it treats, and Hagrid put away the dried fish, which greatly disappointed Tooth.

Hagrid drew the curtains tightly shut and opened the fireplace.

The fireplace was dark, and there was a tattered blanket on it.

The three of them, like little birds, excitedly surrounded Hagrid; they were about to see the legendary three-headed dog.

Contrary to William's expectations, he thought he would see the husky's handsome head, but in reality... the other party was extremely ugly.

It's like a deformed child, with three heads that aren't all the same size, it's enough to drive anyone with OCD crazy.

The worst part is that the largest head is cross-eyed, with its eyes squeezed in the middle, making it look ugly no matter how you look at it.

The smaller head on the left has dense teeth that cover the entire mouth and extend all the way to the throat!

The smallest head on the right is even worse; it has a large, dark birthmark on its face.

What the hell is this monster?!

Upon seeing Hagrid, the three-headed dog squeezed toward the fireplace opening, its three drooling mouths spewing saliva like sticky ropes from its sharp teeth.

Hagrid smiled indulgently, took a marinated, plump-faced chicken from the rafters, and tossed it in.

The three-headed dogs started fighting over it, baring their teeth at each other.

Hagrid shouted, "Big Hair, leave some for Little Hair. Look how thin it is, it's malnourished."

Hagrid even gave each of the dog heads a name: Big Hair, Second Hair, and Third Hair.

This three-headed dog also has a resounding yet elegant name—Lowe!

Hagrid looked very pleased with himself.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?" Hagrid reached out a hand and patted Big Fur's head.

Da Mao bit his finger, revealing his sharp, long teeth.

"My God, look how strong its mouth is! For a mother, this is the greatest reward!" Hagrid exclaimed excitedly.

William, Cedric, and Cho exchanged glances, realizing that Hagrid had gone completely mad in his role-playing world.

Hagrid took a small portion of the dried fish William had given him and put it into the fireplace.

The three dog heads started tearing at each other again.

Tooth was furious; it was its gift. It clung to the rock wall of the fireplace, glaring at the three-headed puppy.

Luwei dropped the dried fish and ran towards Yaya, who was only a few months old and still wanted to drink milk!

But Ya Ya was a male dog. It looked down at a certain part of its body as if it had been greatly insulted, let out a howl, and turned to run towards the door.

"Alright, alright, it's time for bed, little Luwei." Hagrid patted Big Fur's head affectionately and sang a lullaby.

It sounded like ghosts wailing and wolves howling, but despite the awful music, Lou Williams actually fell asleep very quickly.

Hagrid closed the fireplace and said smugly, "As soon as I sing, Luwei falls asleep. He really treats me like his mother."

Cedric asked, "Hagrid, did you tell Professor Dumbledore about your Cerberus?"

Hagrid scratched his head and stammered, "I'll tell him soon."

William asked in surprise, "Weren't you going to tell them before school started?"

"I... I don't know how to say it. What if Professor Dumbledore forbids me from raising it?"

Cedric said worriedly, "That's troublesome. My dad works in the Department of Magical Creatures Control at the Ministry of Magic, so I know a lot about it."

These magical creatures are not allowed to be privately bred; if discovered, they will be killed on the spot.

Hagrid's face was pale.
