Chapter 356 The Hotel Garden Disappearance Incident
Chapter 356 The Hotel Garden Disappearance Incident
After disciplining the Dementors, William and Hermione left the safety window and returned to their room.
William picked up the thick book that had fallen to the floor and placed it on the table. He knew why Hermione had fallen asleep.
This book records many spells, some written in ancient magical script. Some of these ancient scripts possess special power simply by being written on paper.
It's normal for Hermione to be hypnotized.
That's how forbidden books are; they're dangerous, and not just anyone can touch them.
In the words of Professor Dumbledore, "It should be viewed with the assistance of a professional."
That's a bit outrageous.
William inexplicably recalled his past life, when he was in the orphanage.
At that time, a neighbor, a tall woman with short legs, a thick waist, and a flat chest, gave young William a pirated CD from an island nation.
It clearly states: If you are under 18, please watch with your parents.
The honest and simple man summoned the orphanage director and some teachers... and then, that was the end of it.
In short, William's disheveled escape under the setting sun that day was a reminder of his lost youth!
So if you see a similar warning, don't hesitate, just ignore it. Because hesitation will lead to defeat!
Hermione lingered with William for a while longer before reluctantly picking up her lunchbox and heading back to her room.
Just then, there was a knock on the door.
Hermione panicked. Could it be Roy or Lyanna again?
How come she always gets caught every time she comes here? Someone must have snitched on her!
"William, are you there?" Thankfully, it wasn't Roy or Lyanna, it was Fleur's voice!
Hermione, the queen of imagination, has once again sketched out a third-rate late-night story with many twists and turns.
William couldn't help but tap her on the head to stop her from overthinking, then walked across the room and opened the door.
Furong appeared to have just taken a shower; her hair was still wet, and she was wearing only a simple sundress, revealing a large expanse of her fair skin.
She was clearly taken aback to see Hermione and paused for a moment.
"What's wrong, Furong?" William noticed that Furong was acting strangely, seemingly flustered.
"Gabrielle and Anne..." Fleur whispered, suppressing a sob, "They're gone!"
……
……
The hotel's back garden.
William, wand in hand, carefully examined the marks around him.
Annie was feeding the black dog, also a baguette. On a piece of bread crumb, there was a bloody dog tooth.
Probably because the bread was too hard and the dog's teeth are bad, it just crumbled.
"I went to take a shower, and Gabrielle was playing by the window. She said she saw Anne walking her dog downstairs and wanted to go down and play with her."
I agreed.
After I finished showering, I came downstairs to look for them, but I couldn't find Gabrielle and Anne, and the big black dog was gone too.
Furong choked up and said, "I've searched everywhere, but I can't find them."
William frowned, clasped his hands together in front of his mouth, and began to think carefully.
First, we can rule out the possibility that it was taken by Muggles.
Gabrielle isn't very strong in combat, but Anne is different; she's a little witch who has learned a lot of magic from William.
She still has prank products in her possession, so there's no way Muggles could take her away.
It was even more impossible for her to leave on her own. Although Annie was mischievous, she would never run off without saying goodbye.
That means they could only have been captured by an adult wizard!
Moreover, it was a very powerful wizard; Anne didn't even have a chance to call for help. After all, she was just a first-year witch.
Hermione held up a map of France, carefully compared it, and said softly, "Anne's last known location was on the eastern coastline of the Pyrenees; after that, she could no longer be tracked down."
William had cast a tracking charm on Hermione and Anne long ago, which, like the Marauder's Map, allowed him to roughly pinpoint their locations on the safety chart.
But after Anne reappeared somewhere, she suddenly vanished. It seems that powerful magic disrupted the tracking spell.
"What should we do then?" Furong asked anxiously.
"Hibiscus, don't worry, we'll find them both, I promise!" William said earnestly.
"Hmm!" Hearing William say that, Fleur's eyes, which had lost their moisture, regained a bit of sparkle.
"Let's go to that coast first; maybe we'll find something else," Hermione said.
William nodded, stretched out his arm, and brought the two phantoms to a deserted beach.
William had never been to the Pyrenees, so he couldn't apparite there; he would have to fly there instead.
"Come on up!" William transformed into a giant sea eagle.
Hermione climbed up with practiced ease, then reached out and pulled Fleur up with her.
Once he felt the two of them were settled, William gently spread his wings and galloped away, disappearing from sight in an instant.
After flying for about five minutes, William suddenly swooped down to lower his altitude. The eagle's eyesight was very sharp, and he spotted the large black dog in mid-air.
"It's Big Black!" Hermione exclaimed as they descended.
The black dog had followed the trail all the way here, but it stopped at the intersection and kept barking wildly.
Grass! (A magical plant)
It got lost, you silly dog!
Fortunately, Dahei is not a guide dog, otherwise countless poor blind people would become homeless because of it every year.
The group ignored the silly dog, and William transformed into a sea eagle again, preparing to leave.
The dog panicked, circled twice, jumped up, and bit William's paw.
William had no choice but to grab it and fly together toward the Pyrenees.
Twenty minutes later, the group arrived at the coastline.
There were still many footprints on the beach, not yet washed away by the sea. Judging from other traces, the group of wizards had left by boat.
"What do we do? The trail has gone cold," Hermione asked.
In the vast Atlantic Ocean, it's impossible to track a place without knowing its location.
William suddenly turned his head, his pupils contracted, and a cold glint flashed in his eyes.
A girl dressed in tattered clothes appeared beside a huge rock in the distance. She seemed to have been waiting for them.
William thought the girl looked familiar, and after a moment's thought, he suddenly remembered that she seemed to be the werewolf he had casually rescued at the mysterious circus.
William and Hermione raised their wands at the same time.
The girl's face turned from white to green, like a piece of white jade with a greenish hue and excellent translucency.
She cried out in alarm, "Don't do it, Stark! I know where your sister is!"
The next second, William had already Apparated behind the werewolf, his wand pointed at her head.
"Where?"
"There's a small island to the west of here. They were taken there! Not just the two of them, that group kidnapped many children!"
"Why are you helping me?"
The girl gently bit her lip, closed her eyes, and said, "You saved me."
William put away his wand, his murderous aura vanishing once more, and said softly, "Lead the way!"
Without any hesitation, the girl secretly slipped away from the group, waiting for him.
"We can't go like this," the girl said earnestly. "There's a huge storm near the island, and those people have taken the boat away."
That's not difficult. William can get everyone into the safety area, and then he can transform into a sea eagle and fly over.
But even a great storm might be too much for him to handle.
"I have a way," Furong suddenly said as she walked over.
"Madame Maxime keeps a herd of divine horses in the Pyrenees; you can ride them!"
