Chapter 346 Stray Dogs Should All Be Spayed/Neutered!

William stared at the black dog, trying to figure out what breed of large dog it was.

With its pure black body, gray pupils, and matted fur, William would look like a Newfoundland if it weren't so thin, which caused its body shape to be out of shape.

This is of course meaningless, just like it's meaningless to say what kind of bat Professor Snape was.

William tried to think about the problem, just to cover up his embarrassment and, incidentally, to distract himself from the pain in his ear.

But Lyanna tightened her grip on William's ear.

"Ouch, that hurts!"

"You still feel pain?" Lyanna's face was cold and indifferent as she glanced at William with a half-smile.

It would have been better if she hadn't smiled at all. Even Hermione and Anne, who were watching from the side, could feel the murderous aura emanating from her.

"Saving Paris, impressive... Medal of Valor recipient, remarkable... That's something you should have done, huh?! And with Hermione by your side!" Lyanna increased her pressure.

"Are all the men in France dead, and you're here to save them?!"

Lyanna immediately became a staunch supporter of the French when she opened her mouth.

Hermione lowered her head, suppressing a laugh, seemingly pleased to see William humiliated.

William coughed, waited a moment, and seeing that Lyanna still showed no sign of letting go, said somewhat awkwardly, "I won't dare to do it again next time. By the way, have you eaten? Hermione and I just got off the plane and haven't eaten yet..."

Lyanna ignored him, at which point Hermione stretched her neck and smiled sweetly, "Good evening, Aunt Lyanna."

Lyanna smiled knowingly, then released William. She ruffled Hermione's hair, looked her up and down, and said, "You seem to have gotten even prettier in just a few days."

Hermione chuckled shyly.

William and Anne exchanged a glance. Anne rolled her eyes and said to him silently, with a hint of jealousy, "I'm pretty now too!"

As the group walked toward the restaurant, Lyanna pulled Roy aside and kicked him.

Roy asked in a low voice, "What's wrong?"

"It's about your son!" Lyanna reminded her.

"That's great. William is still as outstanding as ever, and he's another Medal of Valor... Honestly, Iris and I are very optimistic about his future."

"Maybe he'll become Minister of Magic someday!" Roy dreamed happily.

"No! The report says your son toyed with a French girl's feelings."

"Oh, this?" Roy laughed. "It's a bit much to be so fickle at such a young age."

But there's nothing I can do about it; I'm just like that. When I was that age, I had a ton of girls chasing after me.

Ugh! I can't get rid of them no matter what I do...

Upon noticing Lyanna staring intently at him, Roy slapped his thigh and immediately changed his tune, feigning anger:

"I mean... this is outrageous! This William, he's only fourteen and he's already playing with people's feelings... isn't he a scumbag? I'll find a chance to give him a piece of my mind."

"We'll go after we eat!" Lyanna said with a smile. "After talking with William, we can also chat about why he's 'impossible to get rid of no matter what we do'?"

"..."

William was unaware that his reputation had completely collapsed.

Therefore, Roy and Lyanna prepared to talk to him to prevent him from falling further into depravity and becoming a scoundrel.

William and Hermione deliberately lagged behind the others, and just as they were about to speak, Anne noticed and quickly walked over.

She deliberately squeezed between the two of them, then gave Hermione a provocative glance.

Hermione frowned coldly, raised one hand, and deftly untied Anne's hair tie, undone her carefully tied pigtails.

Anne was furious, but Hermione reached out and pulled out a pair of hair ties with pendants, handing them to the girl.

Annie quickly took the exquisite gifts and asked softly, "For me?"

Hermione nodded with a straight face.

Anne's tone suddenly became lighter, and she haughtily snorted, "Then I'll reluctantly accept it as an apology for what you just did."

Hermione winked at William, her face beaming with the smug look of someone who knew that if her sister didn't make a move, she would definitely win.

"Annie, where did you pick up this stray dog?" William asked.

"Right in the harbor," Anne said, looking at the hair tie with obvious delight. "That day, I was wearing the Sorting Hat and watching other people sea fishing near the harbor."

A cargo ship was docked at the shore, and Big Black was thrown off from it.

Then the ship left, and Big Black stayed in the harbor, howling at the sea.

After calling for about an hour, I noticed it seemed to have heatstroke and was lying listlessly on the ground. So I gave it some water and food, and it stayed with me ever since.

"Big Black...he's even named it." William said speechlessly, "What, you want to adopt this dog?"

"Is that not allowed?" Anne asked, puzzled.

"That dog looks like it has a bad temper," William said, scoffing. "Hey, where did it go? It was just here!"

"It has a den on the beach and refuses to come into the hotel. I feed it every day."

"See? So wary, it's obviously not a good dog!" William said, chin in hand.

"Annie, let me tell you, there are a lot of problems with these stray dogs."

It's very dirty and needs deworming, its fur needs to be trimmed, and it needs to be checked for ear mites, ticks, etc. It also needs to be vaccinated.

Most importantly, you have to give it TNR.

"What do you mean?"

"The solution is to spay or neuter them, otherwise the number of stray dogs will only increase."

Anne nodded, seemingly understanding but not quite.

"Alright, don't worry about this anymore, I'll take care of Big Black," William assured him.

As a dog lover, William definitely wanted to help this big black dog.

First, use the "life-or-death potion" to knock it down, then take it to a veterinary hospital for permanent surgery.

Clean and efficient!

Dinner consisted of hairy crabs. After everyone had eaten and drunk their fill, they all returned to their respective rooms.

They are planning to go swimming at the beach tomorrow.

Anne invited William and Hermione to go beachcombing and collect seashells early in the morning.

After William entered the room, he opened the window, from which he could see a magnificent statue of the Virgin Mary standing in the distance.

He took a deep breath; the salty, damp air... it smelled like the sea!

After taking a bath, William put on his bathrobe and began to sit on the table, writing letters to several friends.

The twin brothers are now working as tomb raiders in Egypt, and it will probably take a long time for the letter to arrive.

Cedric is helping out at Ollivanders, and William promised to bring him the French wand, but he still hasn't bought it.

Qiu went to Australia with her parents, and it is said that she got into a fight with a kangaroo.

William was halfway through writing his letter when there was a knock at the door.

William opened the door and found Hermione there.

The girl walked in wearing only a thin nightgown. William asked, "What's wrong? Didn't you say after dinner that you weren't coming to see me tonight?"

Hermione hesitated, then said, "My dad just came to see me, and he said..."

Hermione hadn't finished speaking when there was another knock at the door.

"Who is it?" William asked loudly.

"It's me, William," Roy's voice came through.
