Chapter 30 The Miraculous Extraction Spell

Standing beside the water tank, Professor Tywin tapped the glass with his wand.

"It's simple to defeat Grindylows: don't let them catch you, and use the Extraction Spell."

Judy Crouch walked up, trembling, not from fear, but from excitement.

Tywin stood next to Judy, and she could smell a pungent perfume.

The water vat began to shake again, and a roar came from inside.

Tywin, holding his ebony wand, asked softly, "Well, Judy, are you afraid?"

The girl shook her head, her face flushed. Her freckled face looked like a spoiled dragon fruit from a distance.

Professor Tywin said, "Well then, I'll open the water tank."

Judy's hands trembled; she was starting to feel afraid.

However, she did not back down, after all, the professor was standing beside her.

As the ebony wand emitted a beam of green light, the water tank clicked open, and the top panel automatically opened.

The first thing to appear was a green horn, and a sickly green creature pressed its face against the glass, making faces and constantly stretching and bending its long, thin claws.

Greendillo slowly surfaced, its head resembling a bulb and its short, ugly, octopus-like arms.

It roared, its mouth emitting a putrid stench, revealing a dense array of sharp, yellow teeth that resembled a row of painted steel needles.

William's roommate, Marcos Belby, was trembling, his face flushed, and his eyes wide open, as if he had come up with some daring idea.

Judy Crouch seemed stunned; she stood rooted to the spot, motionless.

Professor Tywin said softly, "Judy, don't be afraid, I'm here. Hold onto your wand!"

Hearing the professor's words, Judy seemed to muster her courage. She raised her wand, speechless.

Greendylo aggressively approached her, his claws suddenly extending like vine whips.

William's arm, which he had just pulled back, was grabbed again by Marietta, who gripped it tightly, as if she were fiddling with a walnut.

No, that kind of strong grip was clearly like squeezing a walnut, determined to crush its bones!

"Quickly—quickly pull it out!" Judy screamed.

A noise, like the sound of a whip being cracked, followed by a look of confusion on Grindelow's face. Suddenly, one of its long fingers vanished into thin air.

It lost its balance and slipped to the ground with a "thud," its remaining paws flailing comically, like Snape lying in a hospital bed with points deducted.

Professor Tywin shouted, "Artur, come forward!"

Artur walked forward, his face stern, and Grindillo glided to his side as if on ice skating, extending his claws once more.

The claws gleamed with a green light and looked crystal clear.

"Withdraw immediately!" Artur shouted.

Another explosion rang out, and Grindelwald lost another claw.

People kept coming forward, and one of the Kalindilo's claws was completely severed. Professor Tywin then grabbed another one from the tank.

Autumn will come soon.

Professor Tywin warned loudly, "Never use the Distraction Charm on a wizard; it's a very dangerous spell."

Before he could finish speaking, the accident happened.

Professor Tywin lay on the ground, surrounded by young wizards, but no one came to help.

He snapped, annoyed, "Alright, someone come quick and take me to the hospital. Mrs. Pomfrey can—"

A sharp, piercing dolphin sound suddenly rang out!

Everyone ignored Greendylo, which crept stealthily along the ground, waiting until it was close enough before suddenly attacking the nearest two, Qiu and Marietta.

Marietta panicked, screamed, and waved her wand wildly.

William was lucky he dodged quickly, otherwise that hard walnut wand might have poked his handsome face.

He almost became the first professor at Hogwarts to be trampled to death.
