A Certain Magical Hogwarts

Chapter 29 Grindelwald

Chapter 29 Grindelwald

Professor Tywin stood on the podium, looking at all the young wizards.

"The magical world is undoubtedly dangerous, such as the Dark Lord and his Death Eaters who once ran rampant more than a decade ago."

Everyone held their breath.

Professor Tywin said in a rather enigmatic tone, "Of course, the Dark Lord has already been defeated by Harry Potter."

"In addition to these, there are various dark creatures and magical creatures, and we need to learn how to deal with them."

For example, my predecessor—Professor Robert—died in the Devil's Web and the Terbo warthogs of the Forbidden Forest.

Everyone was captivated by Professor Tywin's words, and the creaking of the chair completely disappeared.

Professor Tywin nodded in satisfaction. The level of noise in the classroom is always the best way to judge whether students are paying attention.

"Today, I will teach you how to deal with some dark creatures; these are all very effective spells."

Please put all your books back in your bags and come with me. You only need your wands.

Everyone looked at each other curiously, and then put their books away.

They had never taken a Defense Against the Dark Arts class before, which sounded tense and exciting.

Led by Professor Tywin, they walked down a quiet corridor, turned a corner, and the first thing they saw was Peeves.

Peeves is Hogwarts's most mischievous character, even more troublesome than the twins.

He was floating in mid-air in a balloon-like object made of some special rubber, filled with a large amount of liquid.

The rubber balloons are really good quality; even though they were filled with five or six liters of liquid, they didn't seem to burst.

Professor Tywin Lannister didn't raise his head until he was two meters away from Peeves, then he swung his bent leg and began to sing at the top of his lungs.

"Bad guy, bad guy, Tywin," Pippi sang, "he's always sneaking around the corridors every night—"

Pee-Pee is consistently rude and difficult to manage, but he usually has some respect for teachers.

Everyone quickly turned their attention to Professor Tywin, to see how he would handle the situation, or rather, what he was capable of.

Tywin smiled and said, "If I were you, Peeves, I would throw the swill mixed with dung balls out of Hogwarts."

What a vicious biological weapon...

Everyone stepped back five meters to avoid being affected by the feces and swill!

Tywin continued cheerfully, "Mr. Filch can't use magic, so he can't clean up all this dirt."

If you can't use magic, isn't that just a Squib?

A buzzing sound came from the crowd again, especially from the Slytherin group, who never expected that the seemingly fierce warden was actually a Squib.

William even heard a hint of disdainful laughter.

Professor Tywin took out his ebony wand and turned to say, "This is a very useful spell, and also a lesson I'm going to teach you."

"Watch closely." He raised his wand to chest height, demonstrating the key points of the movement a few times. Once everyone had seen it clearly, he quickly said, "Explosive Shot!"

The four balloons exploded instantly, but the thick liquid didn't splatter. Instead, it followed the direction of Tywin's wand, drawing a beautiful arc, and shot all over Peeves.

Peeves immediately floated into the sky, constantly calling out to Professor Tywin's immediate family, but soon liquid was poured into his mouth.

"Wow, Professor!" Odes Larsent exclaimed in amazement.

"Thank you, Mr. Larsent," Professor Tywin said.

He frowned at the few drops of liquid dripping onto the ground, then waved his wand again, "Whirlwind Sweep!"

The liquid disappeared, and the stench in the air dissipated.

William keenly sensed that Professor Tywin seemed to have a bit of a germaphobia, which, of course, could also be related to being attacked by Wood's smelly shoes.

After Pippi left, everyone continued walking, and the whole class looked at the professor with a newfound sense of admiration.

Professor Tywin led them into the third corridor and stopped outside an empty classroom.

"Go in," Professor Tywin said. "This will be our training classroom from now on."

The interior was very empty, with only an extra-large water tank. The inside was obscured by murky silt and long aquatic plants.

Professor Tywin walked to the water tank and stood still. Suddenly, there was a loud banging sound from the tank, as if the creature inside was about to smash the glass.

"Don't worry," Professor Tywin said calmly, as several students jumped back in fright. "There's only Grindylow inside."

Most people feel that there is indeed something to worry about.

Marietta Eckmore nervously grabbed William's arm and started taking advantage of him again.

Marcos Belby glanced at Professor Tywin, his eyes filled with terror. Several Slytherin students also stole fearful glances at the swaying water tank.

"Grindylows are dark creatures that live in the water," Professor Tywin said. "In rivers, ditches, lakes—when I was a kid, I went skinny dipping in a river and one of these creatures grabbed me and pulled me to the bottom."

I think many people have had similar experiences.

This is Grindylo, which was just pulled from Black Lake yesterday. I asked the principal if it could be used for teaching.

"What? There's something like that in the Black Lake?" The Slytherin girl who wanted to seduce Tywin Lannister looked horrified, her freckles bunching up like a dragon fruit.

Professor Tywin blinked and chuckled, “Of course, I must tell you, Miss Crouch, there are many magical creatures in the Black Lake, and Grindylow is definitely just one of the most common ones.”

Many people's faces changed; they had crossed the Black Lake in a small, dilapidated boat on the first day.

Judy Crouch shrieked, “I’m going to write to my uncle and tell the school that they can’t let such a dangerous creature live near me.”

Her uncle, Barty Crouch, is the Director of the Department of International Magical Exchange and Cooperation, which sounds impressive, but it's actually pretty useless; he's long been politically marginalized.

Even if Crouch still held great power, Tywin doubted whether a cold-blooded wizard who could throw his own son into Azkaban would listen to the nonsense of a little girl.

That's impossible!

Therefore, Judy's behavior was more about showing off, and she was just trying to fool the innocent little snakes around her.

However, Tywin still had a smile on his face and an encouraging look in his eyes, as if it were a habit he deliberately maintained.

"Alright, a lot of time has passed, we must hurry."

"The first question we must ask ourselves is, what exactly is Grindelwald?"

"Mr. Stark, you answer this."

William stood still and explained, "Grindylo is a dark creature hidden in the seaweed at the bottom of the lake."

Its body is green, it has green teeth, horns on its head, and very long fingers, which is also one of its weaknesses.

"I couldn't have answered better than you, Ravenclaw, five points!" Professor Tywin laughed.

In just a short while, Ravenclaw had already added ten points.

In the past, only Professor Snape would have been so shameless as to favor his own house.

Could it be that spring is finally coming for Ravenclaw?
