Chapter 25 An Unexpected Incident in Potions Class

Chapter 25 An Unexpected Incident in Potions Class (First Update, Please Recommend)

William had prepared himself for difficulties, but he didn't expect it to happen so quickly.

Snape had just finished his opening remarks when he turned his gaze back to him.

"Stark, what would I get if I added the feathers of the Silent Bird to a solution of lionfish spine powder?"

William stood up and replied, "Truth serum."

Snape's face darkened again, as if William owed him a thousand Galleons.

"If I asked you to find a Bodhi stone, where would you look for it?"

William had intended to suggest Hagrid, but seeing Snape's expression, he abandoned his attempt at humor and said seriously, "The Bodhi stone has antidote properties and should be taken from the goat's stomach."

Snape snorted coldly through his nose.

"If I asked you to collect the slime from the Floppy caterpillar, what would you do?"

"If you put the Flopp caterpillars in an environment full of lettuce, they will secrete a lot of liquid after eating the lettuce."

"Just reading from the book," Snape commented casually.

Whether one reads from the textbook or has an outstanding memory, according to the Hogwarts grading criteria, answering questions correctly will earn extra points, and Snape still had that much integrity as a professor.

Of course, this is inseparable from the fact that William belongs to Ravenclaw; if he were Gryffindor...

"Ravenclaw gets a point!"

Before William could even manage a smile, Snape continued lazily, "When answering questions, you must add 'Professor' after the answer! Stark is disrespecting his teacher, so deduct two points."

William shrugged and sat down.

"Why didn't you write all of this down? Do you even know it?" Snape's roaring voice rang out again.

"You're the worst class I've ever taught!"

Immediately, the classroom was filled with the rustling sound of quills and parchment being fumbled for.

Amidst the commotion, Snape said, "Today, I will teach you how to make a simple potion to treat scabies."

"I honestly can't think of a simpler solution. If anyone still fails, I really should suggest to the principal that they seriously reconsider whether they've admitted someone mentally challenged!"

Everyone held their breath and strained their ears to listen, lest they miss something, cause the potion to fail, and be labeled as mentally challenged.

Snape waved his wand, and a large number of words appeared on the blackboard.

"Oh, right, the 'Potions and Elixirs' you have in your hands—" Snape drawled, a mocking expression on his face.

"Written by the famous wizard Arsene Giger, and designated as a textbook by the Ministry of Magic, some of the content in this book, I mean no offense, but it is indeed from fifty years ago."

"Don't be too surprised if my experimental procedures are different from those in the book; just follow mine."

A Hufflepuff little badger muttered, "Then why buy all these textbooks?"

William recognized him as Kadwalad.

Snape stared at Cadvald, unusually refraining from anger, and explained, "The content in the textbook is correct, but many steps are outdated."

When it came to Potions, Snape's entire demeanor changed. He walked to the front of the class and spoke as if in a whisper.

"I'll repeat myself: Potions is a precise science and a rigorous craft. For us, there are no textbooks, only reference books!"

Besides the proven principles, many of the brewing steps are still evolving and not entirely fixed.

"I won't talk too much about theory, and I won't rely entirely on the textbook; that's something you should learn and master on your own outside of class."

I will only guide you to repeat what I believe to be the best way to cook it!

Snape pointed expressionlessly to the blackboard beside him, which was covered with writing in white chalk.

"Enough with the nonsense. All the steps are written on the blackboard, and the materials are on the lab bench."

Two people per group, you can start now.

As soon as he finished speaking, the students immediately got moving.

Snape laughed maliciously again.

"Stark, since your answer is completely correct, then make it yourself, so everyone can witness Ravenclaw's genius!"

Marietta Eckmore, standing next to William, looked disappointed; she would have to team up with Cho.

William nonchalantly unfolded the crucible.

In fact, he did brew many potions at home following the steps in the textbook.

There were failures and successes.

But the medicine for treating scabies certainly wouldn't be a problem for him.

Thirty minutes later, Snape began to drag his long black cloak around the classroom.

Wherever he went, there were sounds like explosions.

Snape's aura was so intense that he seemed like a venomous snake standing next to others, with a cryptic, mocking smile on his face.

His smile, which looked at someone with intellectual disabilities, would make any young wizard instinctively think they had made a mistake, and they would start to panic and feel cold all over.

Snape strode into the classroom, deliberately making "slap slap slap" sounds, spitting venom from his mouth, relentlessly mocking:

"I always thought that everything that exists has a reason, even garbage has its useful value. It seems I was wrong."

Almost all the students had been criticized. Snape wandered around for a while, then stood beside William, waiting for him to make a mistake.

William calmly placed four slugs and two porcupine quills into the cauldron, stirred it clockwise five times, and waved his wand.

Okay... Done!

Snape bent down to examine the crucible, which was bubbling with deep blue bubbles. He sniffed the smell with his hooked nose, and yes, it was the familiar and intoxicating smell of rotten eggs!

The color, smell, and time of use were all perfect; even he couldn't find any fault with it.

Just as Snape was about to say something, Marietta Eckmer, who was not far away, waved her wand exaggeratedly and accidentally poked his butt.

Walnut wood, dragon's nerve, thirteen and three-quarters inches...it's incredibly hard!

Hogwarts Spell Secret Technique: Wand - Thousand Years of Death!

Snape, struck in a vital spot, trembled violently and nearly plunged headfirst into William's cauldron.

Fortunately, as a professor, Snape still had some tricks up his sleeve.

At that critical moment, he combined his waist and stance, using a move he had practiced for many years, the Old Tree Roots, and successfully controlled his upper body.

Snape's large, hooked nose was only one centimeter away from the potion.

He breathed a sigh of relief; his lifelong reputation had almost been ruined.

Snape then began to fly into a rage.

This is absolutely murder!

But suddenly, a plume of acidic green smoke billowed out of the underground classroom, accompanied by a loud hissing sound.

Marietta Eckmore swung her wand carelessly, somehow burning Cho's cauldron into a crooked, twisted piece, spilling the potion onto the stone floor.

In terms of location, William's cauldron and Cho's cauldron are next to each other, while Snape is standing in the middle, with his back to Cho's cauldron.

A large amount of green liquid spilled out, burning holes in Snape's shoes.

His waist and stance were broken, and his face was plunged directly into William's potion.

Within seconds, the whole class was standing on their stools, and Professor Snape was soaked in the potion when the cauldron was overturned.

Snape's back, arms, and legs were covered in red, swollen scabies.

It's supposed to be a magic potion for treating scabies, but it's having the opposite effect. I have no idea how those two little girls made it!

Snape whimpered, unable to speak. He didn't have scabies on his face, after all, William's potion was successfully made, but the potion hadn't cooled down yet!

In the scorching heat of tens of degrees Celsius, Snape was so burned that even his own mother wouldn't recognize him, especially his sexy hooked nose.
