Chapter 962 The Hidden World

"Don't you know what it means to be chosen as a target by the threads of death?" Thor was somewhat surprised that Kismet would volunteer to be his target.

"Of course I know," Kismet said with a grin. "But your path to advancement is clearly not one of death's threads! Wherever you've been, not only has the shadow of death been lifted, but a new vitality for change has emerged. I think it's an honor to be someone you've set your sights on..."

Since Kismet had already guessed that becoming the target of Symphony of Fate would bring great benefits, Saul immediately changed his tune, "If I agree, what benefits will you give me?"

Kismet was prepared before coming to Saul. "Are you looking for Byron? I know where he is, and I can even take you there."

He stared intently at Thor. "And all the information about the Red Worm? I guarantee I know everything Alec knows."

Thor stared at Kismet's sly smile without blinking. "I'm starting to really suspect that you were the one who brought the red worms here."

"I really don't have that ability," Kismet said with a grin.

"Okay. I agree." Saul readily agreed, "but you still have to keep your promise to take me to where Byron is."

The other party laughed twice, "Master really knows how to do business."

"I need to make some preparations every time I choose a target, but this isn't the right place." Now that the agreement was reached, Thor spoke honestly, "So I hope you can help me rescue Senior Byron first."

Kismet winked at Thor. "Don't worry, Master, I trust you completely too."

Thor initially offered Kismet the opportunity to advance to the fourth rank in exchange for his freedom, but he granted Kismet his freedom first, showing no fear that Kismet would run away.

"The hidden side of the world is inside the Stargazing Tower. If you want to get in, you'll first need to find a way to sneak in."

"Get in there?" Thor frowned.

His stealth abilities are really mediocre; he's always discovered by fourth-tier wizards. If Thor used the Fate Thread to spy, he certainly wouldn't be discovered, but if the Fate Thread entered the world side, it wouldn't be able to rescue Byron.

"Don't worry, my brother, there are hardly any normal people left in the Stargate Council. The Red Worms are rampant, and even the living are too busy to keep up, let alone Speaker Alec himself. So it's quite easy to sneak in."

"Does that mean people who can see the red worms won't be devoured by them?" Thor asked.

Strip the wizards of their memories of the red worms and let them continue their work in the Stargate Council in their original positions. It just goes to show how desperately the Stargate Council is for manpower right now.

"It seems more likely that Corey was taken away by the Stargate Council. Under what circumstances would they take away someone they're controlling?" Thor looked at the fire in front of him, the flames twisting and turning but always pointing towards the sky, spewing out sparks that quickly disappeared.

So Thor answered his question again, "It should be when I can't control myself."

He stood up, dusted himself off, and said, "I know how to get in. Before that, tell me everything you know about the red worms. Once I get Byron out, I'll prepare the magic circle for Symphony of Fate."

"Symphony of Destiny?" Kismet's eyes sparkled. "I really like that name."

As dawn broke, a new batch of wizard apprentices participating in the Stargate Council selection traveled by carriage from the capital of the Principality of Olga to the Stargazing Tower.

As long as you pass the selection, even a wizard apprentice can stay and work in the Stargazing Tower. Moreover, with the Stargate Council as your backer, unless you have particularly poor aptitude, it is very easy to be promoted to a third-level wizard apprentice.
