Chapter 901 Meeting

Chapter 901 Meeting

Thor was eventually taken away by two third-tier wizards, one tall and one short.

And Byron was also included.

After agreeing to this demand, the two third-tier wizards became much more agreeable.

They immediately brought out a carriage that was more luxurious than the one Sol was currently riding in, and even the horses pulling the carriage were of the highest standard used by the Tribunal to receive guests.

As Thor sat in the carriage, watching the two third-tier wizards guarding the outside, he knew that the carriage was nothing more than a cage they had provided.

Because Thor and Byron came out from another exit of the No Man's Land, they did not pass through the Dwarf Valley again when they went to the long-distance teleportation array to Neflet, although the distance was farther and the time taken was about the same.

Three days later, Thor arrived on the continent of Neflet in his winged carriage.

He and Byron stepped out of the carriage; there was no one else around.

It seems that relations have already broken down, and this time there was no feigned welcoming ceremony by nobles.

As soon as Saul and Byron got off the train, they were taken to a small castle perched on a cliff by the sea.

The walls of this castle are covered with green vines, and if it weren't located on the Red Sea coast, it would probably attract many seabirds to roost there.

Unfortunately, there were no animals or people here. Even the lush foliage outside seemed to be painted on by hand, lacking vitality and only a stiff, lifeless stillness.

After escorting Thor and Byron into the castle, the two wizards, one tall and one short, stood guard at the entrance and did not follow them inside.

Saul and Byron walked down the dark corridor, lit a small fire to illuminate their surroundings.

In this castle that had been uninhabited for many years, the lights suddenly came on, but surprisingly, they did not scare away any mosquitoes, snakes, or ants.

"There's really no life here at all." Thor looked away, down at his feet, and then suddenly stopped.

Byron immediately noticed Thor's movement and looked down, only to discover that after lighting the torch, neither he nor Thor cast a shadow!

"If there's light, how can there be no shadow?" Byron whispered.

"Maybe the light is fake, maybe the shadows are fake, maybe the darkness is fake," Thor said casually.

The two walked through a short corridor and came to a large black wooden double door.

The door was rotten in several places, and the exposed broken edges were black.

Thor peered through the gap and saw a dark shadow moving about.

However, Thor's mental scan did not detect any living beings or spirits.

He stepped forward and kicked open the black door.

The rotten wooden bolt on the door made a fragile cracking sound, then swung violently inward along the hinge, slamming against the inner wall with a "bang." Then, due to the rebound force, the hinge broke completely, and the door fell askew to the ground.

A large amount of dust suddenly rose into the room.

"..." Byron looked at the door on the ground, then lowered his head and remained silent.

Thor put a hand on the other's shoulder. "It's okay, senior. They've already locked us up here. Why should we care about the environment of the protective cage?"

Byron suddenly spoke up, "You crushed someone to death."

"?"

Thor quickly turned around, but the area under the door was empty; there was no dead body or blood.

But Saul did not immediately refute Byron, saying, "You can see a person."

Byron remained staring at the door panel. "My spiritual body tells me there's nothing there, but my eyes tell me there's a woman with a broken head."

But Thor's eyes and his spirit body both told him that there was nothing there.

"Senior, in your eyes, are there any other people here?"

Byron shook his head. "It's strange. I didn't see anyone at first, but after the door collapsed, a body immediately appeared under the door panel, and judging from the wounds, it was killed by the door panel that just fell on it."

Thor pointed ahead. "Now, in your eyes, is there anyone here?"

Byron slowly shook his head. "No."

Thor raised his hand and immediately unleashed a Soul Blade.

The black broken blade flew from Thor's fingertips and embedded itself in the opposite wall, leaving a hole, but without making a sound.

But Byron's eyes slowly widened, as if he had seen something incredible.

"Your witchcraft... just pierced a man's skull!"

"Where?" Thor asked immediately.

Byron immediately used a marking spell to mark a bright spot about five meters in front of the two of them.

"Right there, I marked that man's forehead."

But when Thor looked over, it was still empty, with only a gray-black square stone slab covered in dust.

"Which of us is hallucinating?" Thor crossed his arms, recalling the swaying shadow he had seen through the crack in the door before entering the room.

"It should be me." Byron rubbed his eyes. "I still only have eyes to see."

Suddenly, a voice rang out in the spacious hall, which was otherwise empty except for walls and floors, and echoed back and forth.

"I'm curious too, why can't you see it, Thor."

It was Flim's voice.

He was actually waiting for them right here!

Thor's gaze swept across the hall. The hall had no windows; the only source of light was the fireball in front of Byron and Thor.

The firelight flickered, sometimes bright, sometimes dim, but there was still no shadow in the room.

"Sir Frim, aren't you going to come forward? I'd like to discuss with you what you need me to see."

"I'm already standing here." The voice came from directly in front.

"Ah!" Byron also looked straight ahead, as if he really saw someone.

Thor squinted and tried to observe the area in front of him using a semi-immersive meditation technique, but there was still no sign of anyone.

"You can't see what happened before, so you can't see me either," Frim's voice came again.

Thor slowly lowered his hand, controlling his fingertips to extend a line of fate, which slowly swept across the front.

Still, nothing was gained.

"I understand," Saul suddenly said. "You don't exist in this room; you exist in Byron's eyes."

Byron's first reaction was to touch his eyeball, but he clearly did not feel anything foreign.

Saul shook his head upon seeing Byron's actions. "I was not accurate in my description just now. What exists in your eyes is only the image of Lord Frim. So only your eyes see it, while the rest of your body and your spirit do not feel anything."

Light cannot be touched normally.

However, you can experience it in other ways.

But Thor wasn't in a hurry to see the other person, since he could hear Flim's voice anyway.

And perhaps it's a good thing that he can't see Frim's appearance.

"I don't know why I can't see you either. Would you like to take my eyes and study them?" Thor smiled, his gaze fixed on where Flim should be, even though he couldn't see Flim.

"I invited you here today not to study your witch body modification formula."

Thor frowned. "Then what do you need me to do here? You don't just want to lock me up, do you?"

"Sol..." Flim's voice sounded heavy. "I hope you can help me, help the Tribunal, help this world that is on the verge of collapse."
