Chapter 902 Secret

Upon hearing Frim's words, Thor instinctively exchanged a glance with Byron, noticing a hint of confusion in Byron's eyes.

If Thor realized from Camus's words several times that the Black Tide's impact on the wizarding world was indeed terrifying, and that the wizarding world might be destroyed by the Black Tide, then Byron's understanding of the Black Tide was limited to the No Man's Land and the Chaotic Realm.

Today, a world-class fourth-tier wizard suddenly said that the world is on the verge of collapse, which naturally caused a huge shock to Byron's previous understanding.

So even though it was Flem who said it, Byron's first reaction was not to believe him, but to be bewildered.

He looked at Saul, as if to ask, "Why would Flem say that?"

However, Saul had no way to explain it to Frim, because he couldn't explain how he knew it.

So when Saul looked at Byron, he immediately mimicked Byron's expression. His first reaction was bewilderment, and his second reaction was a solemn expression tinged with fear.

"Actually, my first reaction was to say, how could a third-tier wizard like me possibly be of any help? But your last sentence really baffled me. How has our world already reached such a precarious state? Although there is the threat of the Black Tide, there is the Wall of Sighs in the north, the Red Sea Forest in the southwest, and the assistance of the Iskeper Continent in the middle. How can it be so precarious?"

What Thor really wanted to say was, how did things get so shaky that they needed a third-tier wizard like him to help them?

"You should know about the Eye of the Abyss."

Sol defaults.

"The Eye of the Abyss is currently like an ordinary person in a deep sleep, or like us in a state of deep meditation. The Black Tide is essentially like a breath from the Eye of the Abyss—its weakest activity. Byron was now completely bewildered, but he knew that Frim certainly wouldn't take him, a second-tier wizard, seriously. He wanted to ask the half-elf residing in his mind, but the half-elf was surprisingly unresponsive to his call at this crucial moment!

You're so useless!

Thor was somewhat better than Byron, but he was equally confused. "Lord Frim, could you explain what it means to say, 'Because of certain people and certain things, the Eye of the Abyss is about to awaken'?"

Now Thor was curious to see Frim's expression, to see how the other man behaved while saying those words.

"Since I have called you here today to tell you that the Eye of the Abyss is about to awaken, I will naturally tell you."

Flim was surprisingly easy to talk to today.

"Do you know why the Black Tide of the No Man's Lands is more terrifying than the Black Tide of the Red Sea?"

Before Thor could answer, Flim offered to explain, "Because the black tide of the eye of the storm comes from the eye of the abyss deep underground."

Frim had seen the wizard's planet and the Eye of the Abyss on the back of the planet through the eyes of the elves, and knew that the Eye of the Abyss was recessed into the interior of the planet.

Although it is incredible, the Eye of the Abyss has truly accomplished this, even though it is outside the realm of wizarding knowledge that Thor cannot comprehend.

What if that depression, after passing through the Earth's core, crookedly and eventually aligns itself with the unclaimed land, preparing to penetrate through it?

Flim continued, "After the eye of the storm erupts, we will find the anchor point inside. After multiple studies, it has been confirmed that the anchor point is the skeleton of a special creature, and only a small fragment of the skeleton."

Flim's words matched the information Thor had gathered. Those enormous skeletons outside the Chaotic Realm really were anchor points.

If the Eye of the Abyss also contains so many large anchor bones, does that mean that all the anchors inside will enter the Wizarding World once the Eye of the Abyss erupts?

Even a tiny fragment can cause a third-tier wizard to mutate and die with almost no resistance.

So many anchor points have arrived?

No, we shouldn't call those bones anchor points, but rather the fragments of those bones that entered the wizarding world.

Anchor point, a point of reference for positioning.

Those terrifying grayish-white bones were probably used to locate the path to the wizarding world through the fragments.

Therefore, the number of times the Eye of the Abyss erupts in the No Man's Lands exceeds a certain limit, and there are too many anchor points entering the Wizarding World. This might actually point to a path for the Eye of the Abyss, allowing it to fully awaken and bring its terrifying, enormous skeleton to the Wizarding World!

A feeling of despair and helplessness rose in Thor's heart. The icy chill seeped out through every pore of his skin, as if this could lessen his fear.

Just then, a hand tugged at Thor's sleeve. The twitching of his muscles pulled at his nerves, creating a slight warmth that made Thor turn around abruptly.

Thor's bewildered eyes fell upon Byron behind him, whose face for a fleeting moment seemed to transform into that of a half-elf.

Thor felt as if his brain had been hit by something; after a slight dizziness, he regained his senses and was no longer as desperate and fearful as before.

Flim's voice suddenly stopped.

Thor closed his eyes, shook his neck, and when he opened them again, the fear in his eyes had disappeared.

"Lord Frim, I understand the seriousness of the matter, but you haven't said what you mean by 'some people, some things'?" At this point, Thor stopped beating around the bush and directly reminded Frim, "You're not referring to my mentor, Gorza, are you?"

Flim's laughter rang out. "Looks like you've figured it out. Your real purpose in going to the Principality of Kema is to help your mentor, not that little girl named Cleo, is it?"

"Have you already sensed something?"

Although the question was phrased as a question, regardless of whether Saul admitted it or not, Flim was already convinced that Saul had discovered part of the truth.

Perhaps Gorsa told him, or perhaps he learned the secret from somewhere else, but it didn't matter to Frim anymore.

Frim recalled the last time the Black Tide attacked; he had tried to travel to the far north under the cover of the Black Flame Emperor, but ultimately failed to do so.

If he hadn't been certain that Thor didn't have the ability to control merfolk, he would have suspected that Thor was behind the last incident, helping Gorsar and deliberately causing trouble, forcing him to turn back halfway.

Saul couldn't take credit at this time. "I was just standing by my mentor's side and doing my best, but actually, my mentor wouldn't have been in any trouble whether I was there or not."

"Yes, I didn't expect that he wasn't on the verge of mutation, but rather that he was being suppressed too much because he was not advancing in his career."
