Chapter 900 Interception

Chapter 900 Interception

Gorsa was stopped when he entered the city.

Or rather, he was recognized. And the person who recognized him was the young first-tier wizard who had gone to the border of Kema to pick up Gorsa nearly a month ago.

The young wizard's expression froze for a moment, then turned bitter.

When the mission failed and they returned, the court wizard who led the team was quite surprised that Gorsa hadn't killed him.

The young wizard felt a chill in his heart, but was also grateful that he had escaped with his life.

The leader wizard, however, seemed quite happy, as if he felt that Gorsa's strength had declined, which was why he let the young wizard go, so as not to let others see anything.

The leader hurriedly returned to report, but left the young wizard at the city gates to continue welcoming Gorsa.

The excuse was still, "You've already seen Gorza; it's more appropriate to send you to greet him at the city gate than anyone else."

The young wizards all rushed back to the capital and waited for nearly a month, but Gorsa still hadn't arrived. He secretly hoped that the other party wouldn't come at all.

As soon as this wish was born, while it was still fresh, he looked up and saw Gorza wrapped in a gray cloak.

Although half of the other person's face was obscured by shadows, Gorsa did not completely conceal his identity at this moment. His unique aura was something the young wizard could never forget after seeing him once.

So, despite his trepidation, the young wizard went to greet her and brought out Gorsal, who was obediently queuing at the city gate.

"Lord Gorsa, we have been waiting for you for a long time. Now..." The young wizard looked up at the man whose face was half-hidden by a hat, swallowed hard, and asked, "Would you like to take a carriage to the castle now?"

Gorsa tapped the ground outside the city gate with his wooden staff, making a soft "thump thump thump" sound.

"Get in the car." His voice was laced with laughter, though it was unclear whether he was laughing at the young wizard or at anyone else.

Seeing that Gorsa was actually cooperating this time, both the young wizard and the other tense soldiers behind the city gate breathed a sigh of relief.

The soldiers, in particular, felt as if they had been reborn as they watched Gorsa and the young wizard's carriage depart.

However, just as they were about to continue guarding the city gate, the leader suddenly received a message from the court wizard.

"Close the city gates; no one is allowed to enter or leave today!"

The soldier leading the group was even more astonished when he saw the message than when he was told to receive a third-tier wizard at the city gate.

"Boss, what should we do? There are still many people outside who want to enter the city," a soldier asked anxiously.

The team leader slapped the other person on the back of the head. "What are you standing there for? Close the gates! No one is allowed in!"

The Kingdom of Kema closed its doors to visitors, while the Tribunal intercepted them halfway through their journey!

As Thor and Byron's unassuming carriage emerged from another exit of the No Man's Land, it was blocked by two wizards who suddenly appeared.

One of them was tall, and the other was short.

It was nearly three meters tall, with bluish-gray skin and angular limbs, looking more like a stone than a human.

He was short, only a little over half a meter tall, and must be a rare half-human.

One appeared as a stone by the roadside, while another jumped down from a bird's nest overhead, blocking the carriage and taking out a token.

Ruling.

The coachman who drove Saul's carriage was a straw puppet. He looked like a human, but he was mentally deficient. When he saw someone blocking his way, he had no intention of stopping.

However, Thor, who had been keeping a close eye on the outside, spotted the two wizards immediately and stopped the puppetry.

Byron scanned the area with his mental energy and immediately discovered that the two people outside were undetectable. He looked at Thor with surprise and worry, "There are two third-tier wizards outside!"

"They really keep a close watch on you." Thor snorted and stopped hiding, climbing out of the carriage.

He frowned as he looked at the two third-tier wizards who had stopped the carriage and asked, "Are you two wizards from the Tribunal? I didn't see you last time in Eternal Night."

His gaze swept over the dark decree. "With this decree, are you trying to kill me?"

When the word "kill" was mentioned, Thor's face turned as cold as blood, his hands became faintly transparent, and their shape began to change.

The two third-tier wizards exchanged a glance, their expressions unchanged.

They were eager to test their skills against Thor, a young and already renowned third-tier wizard, but now was not the time, and no one dared to touch Frim's guest.

"You've misunderstood," the short wizard spoke first, his voice strangely parrot-like. "The decree is merely to prove our identities. We've come here today hoping you'll return to Eternal Night."

"The eye of the storm in the No Man's Land hasn't been cleared yet, so it's not convenient for me to go that far away right now," Thor said without changing his expression.

The tall, rock-like third-tier wizard immediately retorted in a low voice, "You've already left the No Man's Land."

"My friend is in danger, and I have to go rescue him. Besides, it's not far from the no man's land. With my abilities, I can get back quickly once I spot the danger," Thor declared confidently.

"Is that so?" The dwarf wizard suddenly turned his gaze to Byron, who had not yet gotten out of the carriage. "Then let's ask your companion to go to the Tribunal first."

Thor frowned, but didn't seem too panicked. "Lord Frim is looking for me. What use is it for you to send him? He's just one of my men."

"Heh heh, really? Although we haven't been to the No Man's Lands, we know the people around you quite well. For example, this wizard Byron, and a witch named Clare, they should both be friends of yours since childhood, Lord Thor. Now you're going out to help the witch Clare in the Duchy of Kema, right?"

Saul's social connections are no secret; the Tribunal, with its power, could easily find out.

Thor was just wondering what these people meant by bringing this up at this time.

"Since you know I'm going to help my friend..."

"The Tribunal can ensure the safety of the Kelley Witch, and you will be able to see her soon after you arrive in the Eternal Night."

Does this mean they want to bring Keli along too?

Was this Flim's original intention, or did the two wizards act on impulse to threaten him?

If it's the latter, that's fine. But if it's the former, Saul has to consider whether Flim already knows about their inerting experiment.

Although they conduct their experiments very discreetly, and some experiments that only require magic crystals have even been moved to the Chaotic Realm, it is still possible to discover what kind of experiments they are conducting by looking at the witchcraft resources they purchase and the waste they produce.

Furthermore, they seem to know a lot about Keli, so do they know what Keli is doing in the Principality of Kema?

If they are so clear about this, then Thor is basically certain that the affairs of the Principality of Kema are also related to the Tribunal.

Has Yura already sided with Frim?

But wasn't Frim opposed to the plan to resurrect low-level wizards? Why would he cooperate with Yura?

Thor's mind raced, but his expression stiffened. "Hmph, you two third-tier wizards came all this way to invite me; you wouldn't allow me to refuse, would you?"

The dwarf wizard grinned widely. "What wizard can refuse the Tribunal?"

"Then I'll go alone. Byron will stay in the no man's land; he still needs to investigate the eye of the storm," Thor probed.

The two wizards hesitated for a moment, then exchanged a glance. The huge, rock-like wizard suddenly said firmly, "No!"

The dwarf wizard forced a smile, "To be able to travel with you, you must be quite powerful. Let's go to Neflet together. Don't worry, Neflet is a fast traveler. Even if the eye of the storm does appear later, we'll bring you back before it fully erupts."

Thor glanced back at Byron, whose expression remained unchanged. When they met Thor's gaze, Byron seemed to say, "You point, I shoot."

Thor turned back and glanced into the distance, in the direction of Kemadu.

"Alright, Byron and I will go back with you. But you must send men to protect Claire."

Thor's voice was tinged with bitterness.

However, Byron, sitting behind Thor, seemed puzzled. He lowered his head, concealing his gaze and expression.

For some reason, he felt that Thor... wasn't surprised at all!
