Chapter 3: The Number of Wizard Apprentices

Chapter 3: The Number of Wizard Apprentices

Thor stretched out his hands, wanting to catch the potion.

However, his right hand was extremely stiff, and his left hand was just a skeleton.

Seeing this, the woman did not hand the crystal bottle to Saul, but instead pulled out the stopper herself and fed it to Saul.

Sol Mechanics

He tilted his head back and helped the woman swallow the medicine.

It's a wonderful thing to have a beautiful woman feed you medicine.

Having a beautiful woman feed you medicine... that's hardly a blessing.

But that medicine was really effective.

After finishing the bottle, Saul immediately felt a chill run down his throat to his stomach. He stopped trembling, and his hands gradually regained sensation. Soon, his right hand was able to move freely again.

He felt an itch on his forehead, raised his hand to touch it, and was surprised to find that the scabs from his old wound had fallen off.

Only the left hand remains as bone, showing no signs of recovery.

"With your current physical condition, I'm afraid your left hand can't recover," the woman said casually, placing the crystal bottle on the table. "Unless you become a wizard's apprentice."

Saul gave a wry smile. "I'm just a servant."

"So what if I'm a servant?" the woman smiled. "If you're interested, I have a test opportunity for you. It just depends on whether you dare to participate."

The test to become a wizard's apprentice?

Thor looked up abruptly.

"I want to become a wizard's apprentice, sir."

"Oh ho ho ho~" The woman was not surprised by Thor's choice.

The fact that Thor was chosen as a live test subject shows that he has good willpower and courage. Although he is afraid, he can maintain a certain level of calm.

These are all qualities that a wizard's apprentice should possess.

Thor waited until the woman finished laughing before continuing, "My lord, if you help me become a wizard apprentice, what do I need to give in return?"

"What do you have to offer? What do you think you possess that matches your qualifications to become a wizard apprentice?" The woman's tone suddenly changed again.

Thor was taken aback, gradually calming down from his excitement.

After working as a male servant for a few days, he was already eager to get rid of this identity. That's why he was so agitated just now, and even wanted the other party to name their terms.

But a question from the woman immediately calmed him down.

He currently has no value whatsoever to warrant a testing opportunity from the other party.

Thor remained silent, but he did not give up on becoming a wizard apprentice.

He believed that the woman opposite him hadn't brought up the test opportunity just to tease him.

He should wait for the other party to state their terms.

"Do you really want to become a wizard's apprentice?" the woman asked again, "Even if it means ending up like me?"

Her upper body suddenly leaned forward, and the glass dome above her head shook violently. The milky white liquid inside splashed out bubbles and waves, and her eyeballs hidden in the liquid occasionally hit the glass wall, making a thumping sound.

Thor had occasionally seen wizarding apprentices, but none of them looked as terrifying as a woman.

but……

"I think so," Thor replied in a low but firm voice, facing the woman's head.

Rather than constantly worrying about becoming fertilizer, it's better to die on the path of pursuing power.

"Good." The woman nodded in satisfaction. "A new batch of apprentices will be sent in these next couple of days. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, seven or eight of them will likely have died en route. As is customary, a few will be chosen from the servants to make up the numbers. I will send your name in."

"Thank you, sir."

"Kongsha".

"?"

"Konsha, a second-level wizard apprentice. If you pass the test to become a wizard apprentice, remember to choose Mentor Kaz."

"I understand, Lady Kongsa. My name is..."

"No need," Kongsha interrupted him. "Tell me your name after you become a wizard apprentice."

Thor remained silent.

Before becoming a wizard's apprentice, he was nothing more than a servant to Kongsa, someone who didn't even deserve a name.

very realistic.

But within the Wizard's Tower, status is always matched with strength.

Saul left Kongsa's room, and the door closed silently in front of him.

He turned around, and the blood that had been on the other side had disappeared. He didn't know how Kong Sha had managed to do it.

The candlelight on the wall was almost bright yellow.

Thor quickly surveyed the remaining corridor.

There was nothing dirty on the surface.

He didn't have time to continue cleaning, and unless there was any conspicuous trash, the housekeepers wouldn't actually use white gloves to wipe the floor.

Thor turned around, pushed the cart and ran all the way, finally reaching the fourth-floor corridor before the candlelight turned white.

He was panting heavily as he put the clutter back into the storage room and emptied the trash.

"Finally finished before the housekeeper's inspection."

Thor instinctively wiped the sweat from his forehead with the back of his left hand, but the hard bone scratched his skin painfully.

"I still have no pain or even touch in my left hand."

He wiggled a few of his fingers.

"But I can already move around freely. Is this the power of witchcraft?"

After accepting that his left hand might be permanently turned into bone, Thor became fascinated by the power it contained.

He looked at his right hand again. Although it looked only like it had become more delicate, Thor could feel the power hidden inside.

He picked up a stone from the trash can in the storage room, and with a gentle squeeze, the stone broke into several pieces.

"The right hand must be the result of a successful experiment; its grip strength is extremely strong, far exceeding that of an average adult male. I think even the grip strength of the so-called warriors and knights in this world is no more than this."

Just by adding a few more ingredients, the potion's effect is so different.

Thor reaffirmed his belief in becoming a wizard's apprentice.

Thinking this, he left the storage room, walked to the bedroom door where he was resting, and pushed the door open a crack.

Because he was still observing his hands, he opened the door very slowly.

At that moment, a murmur came from inside the door, causing Saul to stop what he was doing.

"Thorn hasn't come back yet. Looks like he's really dead this time."

"Hmph, it's quite remarkable that he's still alive after offending a wizard's apprentice."

"Sigh, he's dead. Now we'll have to take turns getting up early to clean the corridor again."

A silence fell over the room.

Thor frowned deeply. So the task of cleaning the corridor was on a rotating schedule?

How dare this group of people take advantage of his memory loss and push all this dangerous work onto him?

After a while, people started talking again in the room.

"Thinking about it that way, it would be better to let Thor live. He's lost most of his memories, so what he can and can't do, he still has to listen to us, right? Now look what's happened, we're going to have to start the Dawn missions again, who knows when he'll just die for no reason."

"Who says Dawn Missions have to be rotated?"

"What's wrong?"

"We've been having Saul clean the hallways, and the butler hasn't said anything, has he? Starting tomorrow, let George do it."

"He hasn't lost his memory, would he agree?"

"If he disagrees, beat him until he agrees."

At this point, everyone seemed to assume that Thor was dead, and they started making plans for the next unlucky guy.

"Bang!"

Thor kicked the door open.

"Starting tomorrow," he glanced around the room at the boys, "the task of cleaning the hallway will continue to be done in shifts!"

Some people were startled by Thor, while others, after their initial joy, revealed a sinister smile.

The laughing boy is named Brown. He is the strongest and most powerful of the male servants, and he sleeps on the far left side of the dormitory.

He gets to enjoy the best lighting and the privilege of being the first to get his food.

These achievements were all earned through sheer force of the fist.

Now, a little brat dares to disobey his orders. Brown, pressing his knuckles, is determined to teach Saul what rules are!

Brown walked over and, without saying a word, threw a punch.

"Snapped!"

However, Brown's punch was blocked by Thor with his right hand.

"Damn it!" Brown didn't expect Thor to react so quickly, and thought about pulling his hand away to attack again.

But he soon discovered that his hand was being held firmly and he couldn't pull it out at all.

How could he not know that Thor had such great strength?

She was as thin and small as a ten-year-old child.

Thor felt the power returning to his right hand.

Little cabbage!

He remained expressionless and exerted a little force.

"Click!"

"Aaaaaahh ...

Brown immediately curled up in pain.

As soon as Saul released his hand, Brown immediately clutched his hand and collapsed to the ground, convulsing.
