Chapter 147 He is melting

Chapter 147 He is melting

"Why isn't Thor awake yet?" Wright crouched down beside Thor and asked Byron anxiously.

Just now, the array suddenly failed, and the inductor stopped working.

Nick could only remove the wires from Thor.

Byron then looked at the busy Nick.

As Nick tidied up the inductance meter, he said, "The final measurement data shows that there is only one emotion left in Saul's body. He is very calm. It is definitely not Morton who survived."

Byron then turned to Wright, "Hmm."

Wright: You're out of language points for today, aren't you?

Wright sighed and rubbed his hands together. "In the end, I wasn't much of a help. Do you think Thor will complain to the Tower Master when he wakes up? Will I die the night I get back?"

"Hmm..." Byron hesitated, wondering whether to speak.

"No!!!" Wright clearly misunderstood Byron's meaning, and bowed his head to explain to the unconscious Thor, "Thor! Ah! Ahhhh!"

He suddenly started making strange noises.

Byron and Nick were startled by his shout and quickly looked in the direction Wright was looking.

Wright finally yelled, "Thor, he's melting!!!"

Thor's hands, which were hanging limply at his sides, began to melt like molten candles at some point, and slowly slid off to both sides, starting from his bones.

Moreover, when Byron nervously rolled up Saul's sleeve, everyone noticed that even his normal arm was beginning to deform.

Sagging skin makes you look a hundred years older in an instant.

Moreover, this aged skin was spreading to his torso.

If this continues, will it spread throughout the entire body?

"How could this happen?" Nick asked, his face serious.

Byron looked at the inductor beside him and suddenly thought of something.

Before Byron could speak, the earth suddenly trembled and a gust of wind swept in from behind.

The three of them turned around at the same time and realized that the soul storm, which had originally been able to last for several days, had begun to dissipate at some point.

Countless white fragments began to fade, and the speed of the rotating wind decreased.

But what followed was the trembling of the cracks and the rolling of huge rocks overhead.

"It must be our formation that accelerated the dissipation of the storm. The cave is about to collapse, and we must get out of here," Nick said quickly, clutching his inductor tightly.

"But with Thor like this, won't he be nothing but skin and bones by the time we get out?" Wright asked quickly, as life was at stake.

Upon hearing this, Byron suddenly reached into his mouth and pulled out a pocket.

It was the bag Thor had used to carry his spoils.

Byron gave it a gentle shake, and the pocket instantly transformed into a large bag measuring a meter square.

Byron opened the bag and nodded at Thor with his chin. "Hmm!"

This time, Wright miraculously understood what Byron meant. He carefully and quickly picked up Saul and stuffed him into his pocket before the skin on his hands fell to the ground.

Byron didn't tie the bag tightly; he simply tossed it behind him and slung it over his shoulder.

The three of them ran wildly.

The tremors at the crack did not affect the ground; the higher they ran, the weaker the aftershocks became.

Finally, they made it back to the cave entrance.

Wright warned the two, "There are quite a few head monsters outside. Be careful once you get out. You must find a weak point and break through. If you get trapped, you're finished."

"The head monster's eyesight isn't very good, so why don't we wait until dark before going out?" Nick cautiously suggested.

The mountains and fields were covered with monster heads, and no one was afraid of them.

Byron handed the bag in his hand to Nick, then stepped forward and discreetly peered out.

However, he quickly returned with a look of surprise on his face.

"Hmm~" He shook his head gently.

"That's it?" Wright asked incredulously. He rushed to where Byron had just been standing, his head peeking out of the cave little by little, then his upper body, and finally he took a full step out.

The sunlight was behind him, and the huge shadow cast by the mountain almost covered the entire Dripping Valley.

All was quiet.

The brutal and intense atmosphere that had just been like a gladiatorial arena had completely vanished.

"It's really gone."

Byron and Nick followed them out.

They stood at the cave exit on the cliff, their hearts filled with complex emotions.

Wright, in particular, was surprised that after the evil spirit disappeared, the head monster also left on its own.

Could it be that the human-headed monster actually exists by attaching itself to an evil spirit?

Suddenly, something moved in the shadows.

"Who?" Wright shouted.

Below the cave where the three were, several people emerged, trembling.

Wright looked down and saw that it was the apprentice of the Land-based Boat, and he looked somewhat familiar. It was the unlucky fellow who had just been chased by the evil spirit.

"It's you?" One of them recognized Wright, knowing he was a Level 3 Apprentice.

Among the survivors who traveled by land, there were no longer any at level three.

The situation reversed, and the people on the ground immediately backed down.

"grown ups."

"Where's the head monster? Are you all the only ones left here?" Wright asked coldly, looking down at him.

The group exchanged glances, and one of them stepped forward to answer.

"Sir, after you entered the underground, the headless monsters began killing indiscriminately. Most of our companions were bitten to death. But then something happened, and just now all those headless monsters screamed in terror and disappeared. We were afraid of some danger, so we hid where we were and dared not move."

He appeared to be answering the questions respectfully, but Byron noticed that one of them had a strange look in his eyes when they made eye contact.

"My lord, that evil spirit... how is Lord Morton?" another person stepped forward and asked, trembling.

When the apprentice stepped forward, his figure blocked most of the strange-looking apprentice from view.

"They're sending signals to the outside world!" Byron immediately realized that these guys weren't being honest.

"I sense something huge approaching." Wright suddenly crouched down, one hand on the ground. "Judging by this tremor, it'll be here in half an hour. It's hostile; we must leave immediately."

"Hurry up and go straight back to the tower."

Byron nodded, and the three of them immediately jumped down into the cave and landed on the ground.

Seeing that Byron and his two companions were about to run away, one of the people traveling by land and boat couldn't help but step forward to try and stop them.

However, at that moment, the bag Nick was holding suddenly began to struggle violently.

Upon realizing who was in his pocket, Nick quickly put the pocket on the ground.

To allow for ventilation, the pocket wasn't tied tightly, and as soon as Nick loosened his grip, the opening immediately popped open.

A thin boy managed to free himself from the pocket.

"Waaaaaaah!"

Upon seeing the person stand up from the pocket, the apprentice who had been walking forward immediately retreated in terror. So frightened was he that he stumbled and fell to the ground after taking two steps back, and could only crawl backward on all fours.

Everyone else was trembling with fear.

I wanted to run, but my feet were stuck to the ground and wouldn't obey me.

Unlike the first person who fell to the ground, this was their last act of defiance.

The boy, who had stood up from the pocket, covered his head with his hands and looked to be in pain.

His hands were all bones, making one wonder how much flesh and skin remained on his thin body beneath his clothes.

"Thor?" Byron noticed that although Thor's expression was pained, his eyes were clear, and his skin seemed to have recovered and was no longer aged.

Thor lowered his hand and looked over. "Senior?"

Looking around, he realized he had left the underground area.

Looking down again, he was shocked to see that his hands had turned back into bones.

In the pocket where he was standing, there were two sticky puddles and one of his electric shock gloves.

"What, what's going on?"

I woke up and my hand was gone?

Waaaaah, why do I type so slowly?
