Chapter 146 The Ultimate Winner

Chapter 146 The Ultimate Winner

"A diary is something you can see but can't touch, but if it exists anywhere, it must be my spiritual entity."

Thor began to focus on sensing the location of the diary.

Almost instantly, Thor felt an inexplicable connection, one end linking to his left shoulder and the other stretching into the endless darkness in the distance.

"Found it!"

However, at that moment, Morton's large hand swung out, and Thor could only dodge the attack. But as soon as he was distracted, the inexplicable connection he had been experiencing was immediately severed.

Morton struck with his palm, but Thor dodged it and slammed it to the ground.

The already severely damaged corner of the pedestal shattered instantly, and the falling debris immediately disappeared into the darkness.

If Morton were still rational at this point, he would probably continue attacking the platform, destroying the ground and leaving Thor with no more space to hide.

But he seemed completely oblivious, focusing solely on attacking Thor.

"Luckily, this guy has already gone mad," Thor sighed, and continued to call out the diary.

But Morton's tail swept over again, forcing him to jump and dodge, thus severing the connection once more.

"This can't go on!"

Morton's movements were slower than usual due to the occasional pain, but with his two hands and one tail, he continued to launch attacks without interruption, still keeping Thor from calling out.

Seeing the other hand already attacking, Thor gritted his teeth, stopped dodging, and instantly lunged forward, closing in on Morton's body once again.

This time, he jumped onto Morton's back in a few swift movements, grabbing the man's neck tightly from behind to avoid his giant crocodile mouth.

Morton's claws and tail immediately stretched backward, his deformed body allowing him to attack from behind without any blind spots.

As long as it's not Morton's gigantic maw that can devour everything...

Thor clung tightly to the neck of the giant Morton with both hands and feet, his consciousness calling upon the diary once more.

This time, when the giant claws attacked, he didn't dodge; the sharp nails pierced his body.

Thor gritted his teeth and suddenly opened his eyes wide.

He sensed it!

Its tail swooped down from above its head with a whooshing sound.

To hide, or... not to hide?

At the most dangerous moment, a hardcover book suddenly appeared in Thor's hand.

Without time to complain or even think, Thor gritted his teeth, tilted his head sharply to the left, and swung the hardcover book in his hand, smashing the sharp edge of its cover hard against the back of the evil spirit's head.

"puff!"

The sharp tail pierced Thor's right shoulder and emerged from his left abdomen.

"Sizzle."

A faint groan came from the back of Morton's head.

Thor was in so much pain that his teeth were chattering and his whole body was trembling.

But he was once again thankful that this was a space of consciousness, not a physical body, and that his right hand could still move!

He pulled out the diary with force and saw that Morton had a large hole in the back of his head, which was spitting air out, and tiny fragments of his soul were being blown out.

Thor smiled, the wounds on his face becoming a continuation of his smile.

He slammed the diary down again, and an even bigger gash appeared on the back of Morton's head.

"Ah ...

With a thud, Saul fell to the ground, rolled away, and only stopped when he crashed into Herman's headless body.

Despite the excruciating pain, Thor turned his head to look.

At this moment, the evil spirit's body was constantly contracting and expanding. Countless fragments flew out from the back of its head and were sucked back into its mouth.

The evil spirit was struggling to retrieve the fragments that had flown out of its body, but it failed to see that its body had reached its limit.

"It's going to explode!" Thor instantly realized something was wrong and struggled to grab Herman's metal body, using it as a shield in front of him.

boom!!!!

Boom—Boom—

A series of explosions, with tremendous impact.

Saul clung tightly to Herman's back, trying to curl himself up into a ball.

Countless fragments flew past him and into the endless darkness behind him.

In the end, Hermann's body couldn't withstand the impact and was reduced to fragments.

The next second, Thor was swept away by the hurricane, and at the last moment he managed to grab the edge of the platform, preventing himself from falling into eternal darkness like the other fragments.

After an unknown amount of time, the explosions finally stopped.

Thor was holding the diary in one hand and clinging to the round platform with the other, hanging in mid-air.

He endured the pain and climbed onto the platform.

Everywhere I looked were fragments of limbs, and scattered fragments of souls floated in the air.

The floor of the truncated cone is cracked in many places.

"The spirit body is definitely injured; I wonder if there will be any aftereffects."

Thor, clutching his diary, struggled toward the center circle.

"It's clearly a legendary item, yet I can only use it as a brick. I thought the diary was my tracking device, but now I realize how naive I was. Tracking devices aren't that simple, and making the diary truly my tracking device won't be easy either."

He walked very slowly because his whole body was in pain.

Suddenly, a splash of purple appeared before my eyes.

It turned out to be the last bit of purple foam that Bill hadn't been swallowed by the evil spirit.

The bubble had somehow managed to hide somewhere and hadn't broken into pieces. Now, it was crawling like an insect, extending a row of tiny tentacles.

It looks like it's about to get ahead of Thor and climb to the center circle!

Bill's facial features appeared on the surface of the purple foam.

He was laughing.

"Thor, you're dead this time! I'm about to take control of your body!"

Thor didn't look anxious, but he secretly sped up. "I'll kill you when I get there."

Bill's smile widened even further, stretching effortlessly to the corners of his eyes. "Hahaha, you're out of time. Once I take control of your body, I'll self-destruct! I'm dead, and you won't survive either!"

"Damn it, despicable!" Thor's expression changed, and he immediately sped up.

But Bill is closer to the center circle.

"Hahahaha, so what if you've been to Sailtown? How could your outdated mentor possibly guess what we're doing? Hahahaha, just wait... we'll definitely be able to..."

As he got closer and closer to the center circle, Bill's smile grew increasingly maniacal, and his words became increasingly fragmented.

Just then, he suddenly saw a dark shadow loom over his head, and something was approaching.

"What is that? Thor couldn't possibly be casting spells here."

Before he could figure it out, a thick hardcover book fell from the sky and slammed into Bill's face with a "thud," instantly shattering the puddle of purple foam into pieces!

Bill's laughter stopped abruptly.

Thor then limped over, picked up the diary, looked at the foam on the ground that had turned into fragments of his soul, and let out a long sigh of relief.

"Damn, that scared me to death!" He patted the diary, stepped into the center circle, and said, "I just threw it randomly. So, Diary, did you automatically adjust the trajectory?"

Saul hugged the diary to his chest and sighed, "You're the most reliable one!"

Sol stands in the center circle.

All was quiet.

As if confirming something, the pedestal began to crumble.

Whether it's the severed limbs of a soul or the countless curses and whispers flying through the air, they all gradually transform into specks of starlight.

Most of the starlight dissipated into the darkness, while a small portion was drawn in by something and entered Thor's body, gradually repairing his wretched spirit.

"It doesn't hurt anymore?" Thor said in surprise. "I even feel a little stuffed."

At this moment, Thor's body began to dissipate, but he was not in a hurry. In his mind's eye, he knew that he was about to return to his body.

Ultimately, within this world of consciousness, everything is merely a virtual image formed by the fixed patterns of human thought.

Now that it's no longer needed, it returns to nothingness.

Finally, only the diary remained suspended in the air, the most unique existence in this space of consciousness.

Once the place was deserted, the diary cover slowly opened, and then the pages spun rapidly until the last page.

Three black shadows suddenly appeared from the depths of darkness, falling onto the diary and transforming into three irregularly edged black pages.
