Chapter 439, Section 436: Camp

It was the first time both Umaru and Hermione were using the Portkey.

When their fingers touched the glass bottle, they immediately felt a hook behind their navels forcefully pull them forward, and Umaru's feet left the ground, and she flew up!

She could feel Lynn and Hermione on either side of her, their shoulders bumping against hers.

They flew forward like a gust of wind, unable to see anything clearly in front of them.

Hermione's index finger was stuck tightly to the bottle, as if the bottle had a magnetic force that pulled her over. Then, it seemed like only a second had passed when her feet landed heavily on the ground, and Umaru stumbled and bumped into her side, falling down.

With a "thud," the door key landed not far from her.

"I'm so annoyed, why can't we ride flying brooms over here?" Umaru said, sitting on the ground, clutching her butt and looking miserable.

Lynn reached out a hand to each of them and pulled them up from the ground.

This wasn't his first time using a door key; he was quite familiar with it.

"If we were to ride flying broomsticks, it would probably take us all day, and with so many wizards, even at night it would alert the Muggles."

Lynn said as he helped them brush the dirt off their bodies.

They had now arrived at a misty swamp, where the surroundings looked wet and made them feel somewhat uncomfortable.

"7:05, from Primrose Hill."

In front of them stood two exhausted wizards with gloomy faces.

One of them was holding a large gold watch, and the other was holding a thick roll of parchment and a quill pen.

Both of them dressed up as Muggles, but the effect was mediocre.

The man with the gold watch wore a tweed suit jacket, but underneath he wore thigh-high rubber boots, while his colleague wore a pleated kilt like those worn by Scottish Highland men and a South American cape.

Jack walked up to the two wizards with the glass bottle in his hand.

Good morning, Bartz.

"Hello, Jack," Balz said wearily. "You're lucky you don't have to be on duty today. We've been keeping watch here all night."

Jack chuckled and scratched his head.

"No, I also have work to do today. Mr. Leon asked me to help bring his nephew to the scene. You know, the supervisor is very busy today. Those foreign wizards are not very well-behaved in Britain."

Hearing him say that, Balz opened his eyes a little wider and smiled at Lynn in a friendly manner.

Although he no longer works under Leon, the Auror Supervisor is still the Auror Supervisor, and one still has to curry favor with him.

Who knows when a group of fierce-looking Aurors might storm into his house, find a bunch of contraband, and then arrest him?

Bartz put the glass bottle that Jack handed him into a large box.

Inside, Lynn saw other used door keys, a worn-out boot, an old newspaper, an empty soda can, and a tattered soccer ball.

"May I ask who you registered for the campsite under?" Balz asked Lynn.

"Lynn Bellok," Lynn announced his name.

"Belok Bellok." He searched through the long parchment and finally found Lynn's surname.

"You're at Camp Three. If you don't know the location, you can use the Weasleys' camp next door as a reference. They just arrived not long ago, with Sirius and Harry Potter. They all have red hair and should be setting up their tents, so they're easy to spot."

"Thank you, Basil," Jack said, beckoning Lynn and the others to follow him.

They walked through a desolate swamp, where almost nothing could be seen in the thick fog. After about twenty minutes, a door gradually appeared before them, followed by a small stone house.

From here, you can vaguely see hundreds or even thousands of tents already erected on the open ground ahead.

"Because there are so many wizards coming to watch the game, their overwhelming gathering will definitely arouse the suspicion of some Muggles. Although the Ministry of Magic has to arrange for them to come here in batches, the cheaper the ticket price, the earlier they are required to arrive. The earliest ones have even been staying here for a week."

Jack explained to them, then stopped in his tracks.

"My mission is complete once I've brought you here. After that, all you need to do is go to the Muggle administrator named Roberts and ask him where your tent is. Supervisor Leon should have already paid you."

Lynn nodded.

"Thank you for bringing us here."

"It was nothing, don't forget to give me a good review from the supervisor." Jack said before Apparating away.

Lynn then led Hermione and Umaru to the only Muggle administrator present.

Compared to the other wizards' bizarre Muggle attire, Lynn and his friends were clearly much more normal.

"Hello Mr. Roberts, we should have reserved a tent with you two days ago, under the name Bellock."

The Muggle named Roberts seemed somewhat dazed, and didn't immediately react to Lynn's words.

Umaru grabbed Hermione's arm and whispered.

"He looks a bit dull, like Lynn's owl."

Hermione patted her head.

"You are not allowed to speak ill of others behind their backs."

Lynn looked at the only ordinary person among the group of wizards with suspicion, wondering if he had been subjected to too many forgetting spells and his mind had become dull.

At that moment, a wizard wearing lantern pants descended from the sky and walked to Lynn's side with a worried expression.

"Well, this poor guy does seem a bit off. He probably experienced a series of major shocks and then forgot about them, which has caused some problems now."

Lynn frowned.

"Is it serious?"

"It's not serious, but I have to take him to St. Mungo's to see a therapist, in the hopes that he won't suffer any lasting effects."

The wizard in the lantern pants spoke with a hint of apology, at least not in the way that it was acceptable for Muggles to suffer such a fate.

"Didn't the Ministry of Magic recently recruit a lot more wizards to prepare for this competition? Why choose a Muggle for such a crucial task?"

The lantern-pants wizard was somewhat surprised that Lynn, who looked quite young, knew so much about the Ministry of Magic, and he explained.

"This was Mr. Balman's oversight. He thought there was no one else available in the Department of Sports, so he brought in this Muggle who had just lost his job. This Muggle himself really wanted the job, after all, Mr. Balman had promised him a large sum of Muggle currency."
