My Hogwarts has a serious problem.
117. The Witch of Su
"So he'd been on the card all along!"
"So why didn't we see him before?"
Harry and Ron looked very annoyed. They both had collections of wizard cards, and Dumbledore had the most cards in his collection, yet neither of them noticed that Nick Flamel was on that card.
Hermione looked at the card in her hand, as if she had remembered something.
"And Dumbledore... I think I've seen that name in a light reading book before!"
Lynn didn't give her a chance to think further, but instead told them directly who Nicolas Lemaître was.
"He was a 14th-century wizard, the inventor of the Philosopher's Stone, a great alchemist, and also an opera enthusiast. He must be over 600 years old now."
"Yes! That's right! The only current owner of the Philosopher's Stone is this Nick Flamel!" Hermione exclaimed excitedly, finally remembering where she had first learned about Nick Flamel.
"The Philosopher's Stone? Over six hundred years old?"
Harry and Ron looked bewildered. These two academic underachievers didn't even have enough time to play, let alone read extracurricular books.
Hermione glared at them with exasperation.
"This is a magical substance with amazing functions. The Philosopher's Stone can turn any metal into pure gold and can also be used to create an elixir of immortality, making the person who drinks it never die."
Harry and Ron suddenly realized that he not only understood what the Philosopher's Stone was, but also what Dumbledore had hidden in the corridor on the third floor!
The three Gryffindor boys were extremely excited.
Just as Hermione was about to share their discoveries with Lynn, Harry and Ron pulled her away.
Lynn watched them leave, smiled slightly, and returned to the picnic campsite.
"What did they want to talk to you about?" Cedric asked.
"You asked me to find out who Nicolas Flamel is." Lynn didn't dwell on that topic, instead continuing their discussion of their modified Soul-Sealing Spell, "So why does someone always mess things up when we're working together?"
Ian said expressionlessly.
"Because the slogan is too shameful."
"Don't make excuses for your mistakes. This has nothing to do with slogans; it's definitely because you're not yet proficient enough. We need to practice more."
Lynn devised a study plan for them.
"We practice from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m., 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., all day Saturday, and rest on Sunday. This continues until we are perfectly in sync and the spell achieves its intended effect!"
……
"Why won't you let me tell Lynn about what happened on the third floor!" Hermione glared angrily at Harry and Ron.
Harry explained to her, "The fewer people who know about this, the better, especially since Lynn is a Slytherin."
Hermione glared at him angrily.
"You don't believe him?"
Harry and Ron recalled the moment they witnessed Lynn performing a cult ritual, and a feeling lingered that he wasn't a good person. They wanted to say yes, but Hermione and Lynn were close, and they dared not say it outright.
"It's not that we don't believe Lynn," Ron began to argue.
"We don't trust Snape. He's Lynn's headmaster and he's deceived Lynn's trust. If Lynn tells Snape what we know, we'll be in danger."
"But I don't think Professor Snape is the thief either," Hermione said.
Harry also offered some words of advice.
"But we can't completely rule out the possibility that Snape is the bad guy, after all, he's the prime suspect right now."
"The Quidditch match is about to start again. I heard that Snape will be the referee this time. If he really was the one who cheated last time, he definitely won't give up this opportunity. You guys have to keep a close eye on him while I'm on the field."
Hermione eventually agreed with their assessment.
Lynn is certainly trustworthy, but Snape remains to be seen; whether he is good or bad remains to be seen.
The second Quidditch match in Gryffindor soon began.
This match is between Hufflepuff and Gryffindor, and Cedric is Harry's opponent.
Moreover, Dumbledore also came to the stands to watch the game.
This disappointed Harry and his friends, but also relieved them. With the headmaster in charge, no one would dare to harm Harry in public again. However, they also couldn't tell whether Snape was the same person who had tampered with Harry's broom last time.
Lynn did not come to watch this game.
The day before the match, Dumbledore assigned him a thankless task.
Let's rewind to yesterday.
Lynn was summoned to the headmaster's office, where Dumbledore and another person were sitting.
A witch with long, light blonde hair.
She looked young, at most around thirty years old, wearing a dark green cloak and a pointed hat like Professor McGonagall's.
When Lynn arrived, she was having a very pleasant conversation with Dumbledore.
"...Of course I support your ideas more. Everyone hopes to resolve this matter peacefully, but I am not one of your people. So at most, I can only offer you some advice in my capacity as the president of the International Wizarding Federation. The final decision rests with you."
He saw Lynn walk in and introduced him to the witch with a smile.
"This is Lynn Belloc, the outstanding Slytherin student I just mentioned to you. He achieved first place in his class in his first year and also has many good friends at school."
He said to Lynn.
"This is Ms. Yelena Shayk. She is the Education Commissioner of the Magical Council of the Soviet Union. She is here at Hogwarts for observation and study. She hopes that a young wizard from Hogwarts can show her around the castle, so I called you over."
Before coming, Lynn had considered many possibilities of why Dumbledore had asked him to come.
For example, if his intentions are discovered, he should be made to stop as soon as possible so as not to hinder his grand plan to cultivate a savior.
Or tell him, "I'm laying my cards on the table. I'm not going to pretend anymore. You remnant of Grindelwald, go live the rest of your life with Gellert in Nurmengard."
It's no wonder Lynn had so many wild and random thoughts, because this was the first time Dumbledore had contacted him since the first year's holiday, and he had a feeling it wasn't going to be anything good.
But the result was that he was only asked to entertain this witch from the Sukuri region?
He and the witch from the Kingdom of Su exchanged a glance.
She was very beautiful, with features that were not as defined as those of typical white women, but rather softer, giving her a mixed-race appearance.
"Hello, Mr. Belloc, you can call me Ms. Shayk. I'll be leaving the sightseeing at Hogwarts to you."
