The waiter, who was filthy and smelled strongly of mutton, seemed to have a bad temper.

When he saw Lynn push the door open and walk in, he said angrily.

"Hey kid, it's not the weekend, is it? You'll get expelled for sneaking out of Hogwarts like this."

Lynn ignored his tone and looked at the dirty and messy environment of the bar with some disdain.

Thick grime had accumulated on the bay windows, and the streetlights outside could barely penetrate them. A few candle stubs were lit on a rough wooden table. At first glance, one might think the ground was compacted dirt, but upon stepping on it, it became clear that it was a stone-paved surface covered with centuries of accumulated grime.

"Professor Dumbledore wouldn't be as petty as you are. By the way, did you really clean this place?" Lynn said casually, glancing into the bar.

There were only a few guests, and they were all dressed in black robes with hoods, hiding their heads and tails. It was obvious at a glance that they were not good people.

Just then, a man in black robes heard the commotion and beckoned to Lynn.

Aberforth was taken aback by Lynn's retort, and just as he was about to retort, Lynn interrupted him before he could finish speaking.

"I have an appointment with someone at that table. I'd like a butterbeer."

Lynn sat down at the table where the black-robed wizard was.

He saw the man's face clearly; he was a pale, emaciated middle-aged man, a sickly-looking fellow.

"Professor Fox?" Lynn asked tentatively.

The middle-aged wizard smiled, his face contorting into Professor Fox's original face before immediately reverting back.

"I'm currently wanted by the Ministries of Magic in many countries, so I can't use my original identity anymore. My current name is Jarvis Edward, and you can just call me Mr. Edward."

Lynn's Butterbeer was brought over by the waiter, but Lynn didn't intend to touch it because the glass was filthy.

He looked at Professor Fox, now Mr. Edward, with a puzzled expression.

"How did you become a wanted man, Mr. Edward?"

Professor Fox didn't seem to care at all whether the glass was clean. He took a big gulp of his butterbeer and then let out a long sigh.

"That's a long story. I never expected those Aurors from the Ministry of Magic to be so inflexible. I used magic to impersonate magicians and perform on the street, and they actually said I violated the Secrecy Act. I argued with them for a long time, but they were all blockheads who couldn't distinguish between magic and sorcery. They just wanted to arrest me and take me to the Wizarding Court for trial. Of course, I wasn't going to give up so easily. I traveled around a few countries in Europe, but when I got bored, I went to Asia. Now, several influential Ministries of Magic in Europe have warrants for my arrest, so of course I don't dare to return here openly."

After listening to Professor Fox's explanation, Lynn was speechless.

He really didn't expect that using magic to fool people was actually illegal.

This is like getting arrested for selling real medicine disguised as fake medicine.

"However, life was much better after I got to Asia. For example, the Aurors in Turkey weren't so rigid. I only spent 50 Galleons to get them to turn a blind eye to my magic performances."

At this point, Professor Fox's face lit up, and he looked very pleased.

"Lynn, you have no idea how interesting it is to be a magician. When I was performing magic on the street, a Muggle magician saw me and laughed at me for making a dove out of my top hat, saying it was an outdated and old trick. But I was just using an illusion. The dove didn't appear out of thin air at all; it was hidden in my clothes all along."

"And then?" Lynn asked with great interest, as he enjoyed listening to Professor Fox's travel stories.

"Then I took off my trench coat, rolled up my shirt sleeves, and did the magic trick for him again. You can't see his expression at that time; his eyes were practically popping out of their sockets. After that, he kept pestering me to become his apprentice. He was willing to pay money to learn my magic tricks, no matter how much it cost. But actually, I don't know any magic tricks. That pigeon was just something I had put a small stone in my hat beforehand and created using transfiguration."

Even though they hadn't seen each other for almost half a year, Lynn and Professor Fawkes didn't feel any awkwardness between them. Just like before at Hogwarts, their relationship was more like that of close friends despite the age gap than that of a professor and student.

They didn't discuss the letter as soon as they met, nor did Lynn mention his summer experience in Abrose, because he knew very well that the "Professor Fox" was not the person in front of him at all.

They talked about Turkish kebabs, Cappadocia beef stew, Turkish flatbread, and finally, Professor Fox enthusiastically recommended the local bathhouses to Lynn.

He would call the massage therapists' skills "unique skills".

They talked about food and entertainment for almost an hour before finally getting to the main topic.

"I didn't expect you to be so interested in that spell I just made up." Professor Fox was about to call the waiter over for a refill, but Lynn simply pushed her untouched butterbeer in front of him.

Lynn explained.

"Because this spell is very novel, Professor, didn't you notice? Apart from the Soul-Sealing Charm that you invented, there are basically no other spells in the magical world that target spirits like ghosts."

Professor Fox chuckled.

"After all, who would want to be like me, so heartless as to try to torture a ghost and force him to reveal the whereabouts of his son?"

He didn't dwell on the issue.

"However, your various ideas are also very interesting. For example, you improved it into an instantaneous spell similar to Polymorph, which makes it more accurate and practical. And the idea you sent me in this letter, to be honest, Lynn, I was shocked when I first saw your idea, because the angle you were looking at was so unique. I never thought that the power of a spell could be enhanced in this way."

Lynn looked at Professor Fox with anticipation.

"Mr. Edward, do you think my method will be practical?"

Professor Fox answered seriously.

"That's why I used Apparition repeatedly to get back. Theoretically, it's entirely possible, but there are certain requirements."

"What are your requirements?"

"The concept of a main force that you mentioned in your letter must be strong enough."
